The shuttle that had been arranged by the B&B to pick us up at the airport, never arrived. We had to wait almost 2 hours for another shuttle. That was very frustrating after a long flight and being exhausted.

Eugenio and Daisy were very helpful during our stay. They gave us ideas on where to eat in the area and also had a very well stocked kitchen for our use when we stayed in. We were expecting the typical continental fare for breakfast, but instead received eggs, different cereals, juices, milk, and even hot dogs. There was also a few cafes and a small grocery store right down the street that made it convenient to grab a cappuchino or a pannini. We found Il Trasteverino B&B to be very family friendly. We had were fortunate to be able to book all 3 rooms for our group and we also had our 2 year old daughter with us. If felt like living in a private apartment. It was so nice to come back to a home-like environment after an exhausting day of sightseeing.

When the checkout time came around, we felt like we were being pushed out the door by the person who was doing the checkout. We had to bring all our luggage outside and wait in the courtyard for our scheduled shuttle pickup which was an hour later.

Location is a bit of a walk from the center of Trastevere where most of the restaurants and shops are. It's most helpful to buy tickets right away for the #8 Tram which stops right in front of the B&B and can take you to closer to the center of things. We bought our tickets at the cafe down the street with the letter 'T'. They are 1 euro per person and good for 75 minutes once validated on the tram, enabling you to get on and off as desired.

A cozy home away from home. Might seem a little small if you're sharing the apartment with people you don't know, but great if using it for a group of people. The decor is nice and the well stocked kitchen is a definite bonus. Trastevere is such a nice area of Rome, and I would definitely recommend Il Trasteverino B&B as a great place to stay for the money.
