The area offers many good restaurants and typical "trattorie" where you can taste the local cuisine. Small and nice shops and beautiful boutiques are situated long the typical street of the quarter. By plane:
Coming from Fiumicino airport (25 km): take the train to Trastevere station (20 minutes) then take either the taxi to Lungotevere Ripa 3/b (10 minutes) or tram line (no. 8) with stop at Piazza Sonnino and then walk for 5 minutes on Lungotevere degli Anguillara until Lungotevere Ripa.
By car:
- Coming from Ciampino airport (28 km): drive towards Roma Appia Nuova about 12 km. Then you will arrive at Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano. From San Giovanni take Via Merulana towards Santa Maria Maggiore. From Santa Maria Maggiore follow the directions to Termini station and proceed towards Via Cavour, Coliseum, Circo massimo, Lungotevere Ripa.
- Coming from Fiumicino airport (25 km): drive taking Cristoforo Colombo Avenue towards city centre; at the end of Cristoforo Colombo Avenue follow the directions for Viale Marconi and then Stazione Trastevere, then Viale Trastevere, Piazza Sonnino, turn on right direction Lungotevere degli Anguillara and then Lungotevere Ripa.
By train:
Roma Termini railway station is only 25 minutes from Trastevere Home. In front of the main exit of the train station, take the line "H" to Viale Trastevere and and then walk for 5 minutes on Lungotevere degli Anguillara. As an alternative take the train connection to Trastevere rail station and then take a taxi from the Trastevere Station, which will take about 7 minutes. |
