Testaccio House is a nice flat located in Testaccio, an old and popular area in the centre of Rome, where today you can find the tranquillity of a little quarter and the amusements of a modern city: restaurants, pubs, cinemas and theatres. In the course of the last years, Testaccio has become one of principal places for the Roman Summer cultural events (concerts, movies, poetry, etc.). |
Testaccio is located on the foot of the Aventino hill, one of the seven hills surrounding Rome, rich of history, where you can discover very ancient churches (S.Sabina, S.Alessio, S.Anselmo) and the nice garden Giardino degli Aranci, from where you can enjoy an amazing view over the river Tevere and the Tiberina isle. Located only a few minutes away, you can find the Circo Massimo, the Terme di Caracalla (the ancient Bath of Roman people), The Colosseo and Fori Imperiali. |
 In the other direction you can arrive to Piramide di Caio Cestio (the only Pyramid of Rome). With a short walk, it is possible to arrive to Isola Tiberina (the isle of River Tevere), Campo dei Fiori ( the ancient market of Rome). You can visit Piazza Navona, one of most important place of Rome with the Borromini's church and the fountain of Bernini(rival architets during the Baroque period in Rome). |
Last but not least, Testaccio House is very near (5 minutes by foot) to Porta Portese, the most important Flea Market in Rome, open on the sunday. Testaccio House, located in the second floor of a typical building of the quarter, built in the end of 1900, lift equipped, has been refurnished in the manner to provide a confortable accomodation for a nice stay in Rome. |
