The Hotel Santa Maria is located in the centre of Rome, in the heart of Trastevere, one of the city's most ancient and distinctive neighbourhoods famous for its restaurants, folklore performances and other evening activities. The Hotel Santa Maria is very close to all kinds of public transportation ( bus,tram, train, taxi). The hotel can easily be reached on foot from Tiber Island, the Janiculum hill, the Roman Forum, the Colisseum, the Pantheon, Navona Square and Campo dè Fiori. Pedestrians can arrive at Piazza San Pietro (Vatican) in about 15 minutes.

In General: All shops, offices and services, so as restaurants, bar and clubs are at short walking distance. An Internet point has been recently opened just nearby the hotel. Many street for shopping: Via Veneto, Via XX settembre, Via del Corso, Via Nazionale, etc_Shops in the city centre are opened from Monday to Saturday. The majority shops are opened on sunday too. In the suburbs they are closed for the lunch time.
