We took taxi from airport, and I am sure he overcharged us. The sign is barely visible. The elevator is an antique. More English speaking/understanding would be nice. The pillows are awful. ... It is unfortunate with as many visitors/tourists you have in R ome that directions are so hard to come by. ... Nice bathroom. Adequate if you are not planning on staying long.

I travel the world for business and have stayed in various level hotels. This being a family vacation, and requiring two rooms, value was important but I also had wanted a hotel that would provide my family with security, cleanliness and a sense of being apart of Roma, not a sterile, US style Holiday Inn type hotel. The St. Moritz is perfect! The rooms and bathrooms were large, for European Standards, with very up to date fixtures. The location was right in the heart of everything from the Termini Station to the Vatican. If you want a wonderful Roman Experience and be treated like Ceasar...Stay at the St. Moritz.
... Great value, great location, great service, great accomindations and a very freindly and outgoing staff.

Thgere was a power cut on our arrival and the lift was out of action. However the welcome more than compensated for this-helpful and polite reception staff. ... The room appeared to have been recently refurbished and was a good size for our family of four.
Bathroom was spacious and was modern. ... Good value hotel in central location. Room was spacious and quiet with double glazing and air-con. Breakfast on the internal outside terrace was enjoyable. Staff friendly and helpful.

Directions to the hotel very clear, however, at the door and entrance hall of the hotel it was confusing as where the hotel was. there was no indication as where the lift was or that the reception was upstairs. Once in reception very helpful. ... There was a bar listed in the facilities on the web site. This hotel does not have a bar at all. This was a disapointment. We had a good stay and would stay there again, it is ideally placed for exploring Rome. It is much smaller than it looks on the photographs, but very nice all the same. ... Not enough tables in breakfast room if all guests go in at the same time. ... small, clean , ideally situated, quiet, good for a short break. Good breakfast, pleasant & helpful staff Not much space for clothes but only there for a few days so it didn't matter.

We are not use to odd and even street numbers on the same side so we went by the hotel. ... The photo on the web site is from the renovated floor but our room was on the next, not renovated floor. There was a strange and strong smell in the room. ... A rather simple room in a hotel perfectly situated, the breakfast could be better.

We were allocated a room at the front of the hotel, right next to the reception desk. The room overlooked the main street and was very noisy. As we had to keep the window open for ventilation during the day, dust also came into the room. We requested a quieter room but the management could not accomodate our request for the first 2 nights of our stay. ... Whilst in the room at the front of ther hotel , we could here the noise from television used by the receptionist in between the traffic noise. On the third day, we were moved to a room at the rear which was much quieter. All potential clients of this hotel should be informed of the poor quality of the breakfast on offer such as 1. the lack of sliced bread and a toaster were very disappointing,we could not make toast and not everyone likes a croissant for breakfast, 2. the lack of a choice of cereal (not everyone likes cornflakes), 3. not everyone likes plain yoghourt, fruit flavored yoghourt is readily available throughout europe and so it should be available at breakfast. ... nil ... Details about the poor quality of breakfast should be made known. The number of stairs should also be made known, as well as the miniature lift, this hotel is not suitable for clients who suffer from disabilities to their legs or knees. The tiny lift and numerous stairs make it exhausting evey time one returns to ones room, as well as very awkward when arriving with a heavy suitcase. ... A low quality hotel that is expensive, offers a poor breakfast and is in a very noisy location. The rooms we stayed in were not very clean, and it seems the cleaners do not have enough time to clean rooms before the next client moves in. Some rooms also showed definite signs of needing repainting, etc. The good point were the helpful and friendly staff

The location of the hotel was very good. From were it is situated, you can go by feet to the most important monuments in the city. The staff was polite and helpful, as soon as we encountered a problem they dealed with it. For example in our room , it was a minor problem with the wash-hand basin , we announced the staff and they solved it very quickly. We've stayed in a quadruple room so the space was rather limitated, but we haven't expected at something else etiher. It wasn't noisy at all, so we could sleep very well. As a conclusion, our staying was ok, and the hotel was fine.
