Shower cabinet in bathroom leaked onto floor, but this was the only small problem. ... Could not believe it, but dismissed telephone charges, bottles of water and bar bill from final bill. Told all our friends who have never experienced this. Recommend this hotel to anyone. ... One of the most friendly and helpful staff we have come across on our travels. Very quiet but right in the centre of town. Would recommend to anyone.

Very helpful at the desk with a map of Rome and directions to various attractions ... Provided us with rooms on the second floor which had balconies - very nice. ... Very friendly staff and great access - 2 blocks from Termini. Also provided free access to internet. Rooms are small but clear and the outdoor patio is a nice touch.

Although the garden was very pleasant there didn't appear to be any rose bushes as stated on the website photographs but nonetheless a very nice area to unwind in. ... Good value and pleasant hotel but not in a very good area for ladies staying on their own.

We had lost a suitcase on disembarking from our cruise and the desk clerk, Umberto, was extemely helpful in making contacts for us. ... Street number (#5 Via Vicenza) is confusing: the first number you see on Via Vicenza as you turn off Via Marsala is on the opposite (north) side of the street: #12, followed by #18. Mysteriously, #5 is actually almost to the corner of the second street parallel to Via Marsala, on the south side. ... Pleasant, clean, quiet, good breakfast, close to Termini Station (You walk longer inside the station getting to the Via Marsala exit than you do from the Via Marsala exit to the hotel, so we found it closer than we thought.) Gardenlike entry sets it off from its neighborhood, which is not bad but more impersonal. Good value and very helpful owners and staff. About two blocks from the starting point of Bus Line 75 in Piazza de la Independencia. Get your bus tickets from the 'Tabac' place in the middle of the Piazza and for heaven's sake make sure you punch it in the yellow machine on the bus. A 50 Euro fine is no fun.

Provided the level of pickpoketing and thieivng in ROME, IT IS BEST IF THE GUESTS ARE RECEIVED AT THE RAILWAY STATION AND GUIDED TO THE HOTEL. WE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE OF GETTING MOBBED ON THE WAY TO THE HOTEL FROM ROMA TERMINI STATION - FEW MINUTES WALK. WE WERE NOT RECEIVED AT THE RAILWAY STATION. ... EVEN THOUGH WE CHECKED OUT EARLY IN THE MORNING, THE STAFF PREPARED OUR BREAKFAST - WELL AHEAD OF THEIR REGULAR TIMINIG. ... WE DID A GOOD SELECTION.

Very nice stay, nice and spacious room. But we were quite disppointed to have breakfast in an underground room with no window, as the hotel has a beautiful and peaceful terrace !

Pleasant & convenient, if not the best location, certainly not bad. Very pretty garden & entry. The bathroom, however, was so small that it was nearly unusable. If charm, convenience and courteous service are high on your list, its great. If you are a 'big' person, or need room in the bath to spread out your things, forget it.

The receptionist was most pleasant and welcoming and very much impressed us by his efficiency and simple attention to details. ... The shower was adequate but there was no facility to hold shampoo bottles etc. which made showering difficult. There was no waste bin in the room only a small one in the bathroom itself. ... It was nice to be able to vacate the room as late as 12.00, this made for a more relaxed departure. ... A pleasant and convenient hotel with very polite and helpful staff who made us feel most welcome.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa delle Rose.Staff were helpful and friendly. Tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms would have been a great addition after a long day of touring. The breakfasts were fantastic. ... An okay place to stay for a couple of days. Direct email with the hotel were often confusing -most probably due to misunderstandings caused by the language barrier. Nonetheless the staff were accomodating and hospitable when we arrived.

I had a room to the street, which was quite loud in the night(Rome lives through the night!). For one night it was ok but for a longer stay, rooms to the back (garden or patio)might be recommended. ... A hotel in an old villa which has a nice old- fashoned atomosphere. Super convenient when you have to leave Rome early in the morning due to the short distance to Termini.Very kind and charming receptionists.

TV set in the room was too small and in bad condition (all channels were either invisible or full of disruptions). Sound insulation in the rooms are not adequate. ... The close by bell tower will wake you up every morning at seven! Windows and room doors are not sound proof. ... Nice old Roman town house with an excellent location near the Termini. Rooms have very high ceilings and poor sound insulation.

Very nice service and staff ! But: The hotel seemed a bit more old and 'tired' than what was presented on web-sites. The room(s?) could really need a fresh up ! No table/small saloon to sit by in the double room. Worst of all:There was a constant bad smell from the bath/toilet (sewerage system). ... It is presented as a much more 'exclusive' hotel than what it actually is. ... If you dont have more money, and need to stay by the train station, it's OK.
