We were led to believe from the website that there was a roof top terrace. This was not the case. The only terrace that was visible wasin the middle of floor 1 and was not a really a terrace

See comment above, there is no roof top terrace. Also there is no restaurant for evening meals

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly generally.The room was very clean and pleasant although small-wasnt sure how it was 'superior' (NO 301)as we had paid more but even so we were very pleased with the hotel and rate it highly.

See above. The restaurant was closed which as a disappointment and we hadnt been told this beforehand.We were directed to some good restaurants locally however.

Was kept waiting some time beyond 12:00 noon check in time to get into the room. Having left home at 04:00 this was something of an inconvenience.
Asked for the room safe to be opened, but it was left to me to progress getting that done - which it never was.
Asked at reception for some change of Euro notes, but didn't get any nor help to get some.

Room was smaller than expected considering the out of city centre location.
The breakfast quality and standard of service was excellent, faultless.
The en-suite needed a sun filter curtain, to avoid the need to draw the curtain on every entry.

I like to use metros. The exact metro journey from termini, and directions from the metro station to the hotel, would have been useful.

High standard of decor, both of bedrooms and reception rooms.
Very well positioned for access to the metro to get to all key destinations.
Reception staff could use a refresher course on customer service.
Bedroom on the small side - for the cost.

We booked a car to pick us up from the airport so we didnt need directions to the hotel as the driver knew were it was anyway.
Thought the jar of lollipops on the reception desk was a nice touch though!!

River Palace was a beautiful hotel. Rooms were very clean but extremely small. Breakfast was good, and staff were very pleasant at all times. Would definately return and recommend.

I booked River Palace 2 months before we went. I looked on the website 2 days before we travelled and the room prices had doubled for the same week so it was definately value for money for us!! Well worth booking in advance..

A beautiful, clean, friendly hotel in an ideal location for sightseeing in Rome. Good breakfast, lots of choice, set out in a nice clean, fresh dining room.

Smallish rooms

We would have liked to be a little closer in the core, say 5 minutes less of a walk, but not a big issue. The room was very clean, the staff extremely helpful and the daily breakfast was excellent.

Our bill was ready when we checked out and the lobby staff ordered a taxi for us. No waiting, it was perfect.

The hotel was situated just outside the busy areas which was perfect. The noise and conjestion was kept to a minimum. The hotel and staff couldn't have been better. We would highly recommend the River Palace Hotel as a wonderful place to stay while in Rome.

We had a very nice stay and one of the female receptionists gave us an excellent dinner recommendation. The best meal we had in italy. The accomodations were very nice and we really enjoyed our stay. In addition your website was excellent in helping us make a hotel selection in Rome. Thank you.

The receptionists could not do enough to help us, even providing a map of rome and guided walks if we were interested. They also were very helpful in booking taxis and restaurants when we wanted them.

We were quite surprised by the size of the room, it looked very spacious on the web site. There was barely enough room to turn around. The shower was very small. It was adequate as we did not spend much time in the room.

A nice, small and quite hotel with friendly and kind staff in the very heart of Rome - far from highways but close to things important for a traveller: like Villa Borgese garden, Del Popolo Square with Karavago masterpieses in one of the Chirches, 2 min walk to main shopping streets.

I found the twin room very small in size. There was very little room to move around.

I was disappointed with the size of the room. I felt two gin and tonics and a coffee in the bar was much too expensive at €19.
Otherwise, staff were excellent and we were happy with the hotel and accommodation.

When we booked the junior suite was suppose to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, it actually only had 1 bathroom. Upon enquiring the hotel stated that none of the suites have two bathrooms, a little disappointing

The staff at the River Palace are absolutely fantastic and took time on our arrival to sit down with us and guide us through a map they provided to help direct us to the key sites -
which proved invaluable!

It’s a really nice hotel in a very central, ideal location.
The only thing I’d fault it for was that the bedrooms were very small. Also the the breakfast room was too small for the number of guests so you had to queue to be seated –but never for very long.

I would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to a friend.
It's a small, friendly, personal hotel in an excellent location. Within walking distance of main shopping and sight-seeing areas.
Nice touches such as chocolates in your room each evening and a card advising guests of the following day's weather forecast.

There was a problem with lifts. One had to change lifts to get anywhere within the hotel and the two lifts were quite small.

Well situated, comfortable,cosy hotel with friendly staff. Value for money for a good western europian capital city accomodation.
