Residenza D&D is placed on the ground floor of a building on 11 Via Emanuele Gianturco, a few steps from Piazza del Popolo, in the historical centre of Rome. From this point it will be easy to reach major attractions in the Eternal City such as the Trevi Fountain, Castel Sant Angelo and Campo de Fiori square. |
By plane: It is really easy to reach the hotel from both airports in Rome, Ciampino (29 kilometres away, approximately 33 minutes by car) and Fiumicino or Leonardo Da Vinci (31 kms, 35 minutes drive). There are various means of public transport to get to the b&b easily and fast.
By car: At Ciampino, take the SS7DIR motorway and go along Via dei Ciampino before getting on SS7 and then, A90 highway: stay on this track for around 13 kilometres, till exit "Foro Italico/ Nomentano/ Tiburtino". As you arrive in Rome, take your right into Via della Stazione Tiburtina. Continue along Via Catania, Via Bari, Viale del Policlinico, and veer left in Piazzale di Porta Pia. Take Corso d`Italia, Viale del Muro Torto, and once you have crossed the park -Villa Borghese- turn right in Via Gian Domenico Romagnosi and again in Via Cesare Becaria. Continue along Via Giambattista Vico, turn left in Piazzale Flaminio and again in Via Flaminia. Veer left in Via degli Scialoja and, finally, right in Via Emanuele Gianturco, where the hotel stands on number 11.
If your plane lands in Leonardo Da Vinci-Fiumicino airport, get on the A91 highway towards the signs indicating the A1, Via della Magliana and Grande Raccordo Anulare. Continue along the A90 highway and get off at the EXIT 1 "ROMA/ AURELIO/ SS1/ AURELIA/ E80/A12/ CIVITAVECCHIA". Continue along SS1 and turn right in Via Aurelia. You will soon arrive in Rome, where you must take Via Baldo degli Ubaldi, Via Angelo Emo, Via Candia, Via Giulio Cesare and cross the river. Turn right in Via degli Scialoja, continue along Via Pisanelli and veer left in Via Stanislao Mancini. Continue along Arnaldo da Brescia and turn right in Via Domenico Azuni. Turn right in Via Flaminia, again in Mancini and continue along Via Gianturco.
By train: From both airports you can reach Termini central station, either on the Leonardo Express leaving from Fiumicino or the Sitbusshuttle Bus at Ciampino. They both reach the train station in 30 to 45 minutes: once there, you may take the metro (line A, direction Battistini) and get off at the fourth stop, Flaminio, which is placed only 5 minutes on foot from the inn. As you come out of the station, the property is really easy to reach: just walk to the back part of the square, at approximately 100 metres from the metro stop. |
