It is good to indicate whether that it is close to the Piazza del Popolo. This is helpful for taxi drivers and others as it is not a typical hotel. ... a QUIET PLACE SPLENDID TO DISCOVER ROME

I had changed my reservation to a day later and they hadn't received that change.I did have my new voucher number. ... I thought the rooms were a bit smaller than what the images on the web site conveyed. But the detailing of the rooms were very charming. ... What we really enjoyed most was the great staff and the beautiful fabrics they chose to use through-out. The bathroom was quite small in our room. A larger person would have an awfully difficult time using the shower. ... The location is tops, especially for the price. The hotel is directly below the Villa Borghese and surrounded by great reastaurants and shops. I was able to walk everywhere.

Initially we were not provided with the upgrade we had been promised however when Folco arrived for the day he instantly sorted it for us. The accomodation was wonderful (although our toilet made odd noises for a few moments after flushing!), breakfast simple yet delicious and the overall service was excellent. We would return when next in Rome and will be reccomending it to all of our friends. ... Loved it! Great cappucino with breakfast. ... Amazing!

The staff at Residenza al Corso made our arrival experience wonderful. The day we arrived there was a terrible rainstorm. The staff ran downstairs to greet us and help us with our numerous bags. They were wonderfully helpful and we appreciated it. ... Our stay was lovely. The breakfast offered was very nice and the staff accommodated our request for a very early breakfast. ... Residenza Al Corso is in a terrific location, very close to the metro line and the sites.
The only thing I would change is the decor of the rooms - but that is a very personal preference. ... The rooms were very clean. The bathrooms were clean and acceptable but nothing special. Breakfast was nice and light. The staff made our experience in Rome even better. I would recommend the hotel.

Room fairly noisy! Poor sound proofing made it 'transparent' to ambient noises from reception and nearby guestrooms. Toilet had faulty flushing upon arrival but was fixed quickly. ... Great location! May be a good choice for younger people who do not mind the noise and basic amenities. Poor breakfast. Friendly and cooperative staff.

We arrived very late and the hotel had arranged transport from the airport for us which worked very well and we were greeted on arrival by a very friendly receptionist. ... There seems to be a problem with the plumbing in the property as the shower didn't work very well. We mentioned this at reception on the first day and some one did go to our room to do something about it. THere wasn't enough hot water available so if you heard people having a shower in another room you knew that it would be an hour before you could have a trickle of warm water. ... A car was arranged for us to take us to the airport and this arrived on time and got us to the airport in plenty of time ... Centrally located quirky historical building with a friendly staff a simple but tasty breakfast. Small but beautiful rooms but they need to sort out the plumbing before I would go back for a third visit

The room was quite spacious and very pretty. The only downside was that conversations could be heard from room to room and that one night there was a great deal of noise outside until early in the morning. That being said, I would definitely stay there again. The room and the location were excellent. ... See above comments about street noise. ... A large, very pretty room, excellent location. The only downside is street noise the hotel is on a main, very busy street. That being said, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were met at the airport by a hotel representative who continued to be of the greatest possible help to us during our too brief stay. We would recommend this hotel to others for many reasons. The location is excellent, but the staff is superior. Best regards, Carolyn Burson ... This lovely small hotel is beautifully maintained and staffed with kind and responsive personnel. ... A hard working member of the staff took us to the train station and made certain that we knew exactly how to get to our next destination. ... A small sitting room or bar would have been a welcome addition, but notessential, as convenient amenities were near by. ... An extremely warm and welcoming small hotel in the center of Rome Antica.

Arranging to pick us up at the airport made arriving and departing easy and enjoyable. ... Falco and his staff were spectacular! We enjoyed every moment there and can't wait to return. There eating suggestions made the trip even better, if that's possible. ... We highly recommend Residenza al Corso to anyone who wants real value and very comfortable accommodations. The room was very large, very clean and very modern in its conveniences. ... Pick up at the airport. ... A true Roman experience.

Very friendly and polite reception- made us feel welcome and at home. ... Very nice place- clean and spacious. Extremely close to everything- a wonderful expereince. Would definitely stay there again if lucky enough to get back to Rome. ... Should emphasise its location- minutes from the Piazza Poppolo. ... Excellent; great value. The room is lovely and quaint, staff are extremely courteous and best of all - great location.

We were greeted personally by Folco, who helped with bags and escorted us to our room. He explained everything clearly and was very gracious. ... our only problem was with the toilet in our bathroom: it leaked, which we reported on check-in, but nothing was done to correct this problem as far as we could tell. Also, our room was next to reception, so we could hear the receptionist's phone calls/tv and smell the cigarette smoke sometimes late at night. ... Bruno was helpful in procuring a car and driver to the airport, advising us on the proper fare. ... People should be aware that, being right on the Corso and only one block from the Piazza del Popolo, it can get noisy. There was a street musician who played across from the hotel for hours every evening. At first it was charming, but his repertoire was limited, so it became a little annoying. ... A neat, clean, spacious room with firm mattresses and good water pressure in the shower. A hearty continental breakfast buffet served by a very accommodating waiter (who remembered I liked hot chocolate and served me steamed milk and Quik every morning). A very central location, convenient to everything. A friendly staff.

the location of the hotel is ideal. however, the noise surrounding it and in the alley-way is terrible. it's difficult to get a great, quiet night's sleep there, unfortunately. but the room itself was spacious. ... it is located in a very busy neighborhood, busy street with restaurants located outside your room. ... spacious, great location - but noisy.

The people at Residencia de Corso were friendly and very helpful with information about the area of Rome with suggestions as to places to eat and ways to travel around the city. Bruno was especially helpful with directions and special attention. ... Pick up at the airport is an option. I do not know if this was listed in amenities or not but it was an excellent introduction to the city and a very personal touch. ... The room was somewhat small but quite clean and comfortable. The location was excellent and convenient to the sights of Rome and the train and bus connections. The staff was friendly and worth the stay just to meet them.

I would say that it is in a very good location and the price is fair. There were several things about the room that were not good. The wardrobe broke as soon as we got there and the door hung open (not great in such a small room but it was understandable that they could do nothing about it). The lock on the door was primitive and didn't make us feel very safe. If I was a woman alone in that room, I would have moved hotels. On the other hand, the staff was very nice, spoke great English and were available whenever necessary. I would stay there again.

The place was great for the money. Especially because of the location.
The only two improvements I could suggest are: better TV channel connections, such as CNN other than italian channels. Also, we were not that impressed by the breakfast, although they put up a breakfast buffet we have friendly service, there was nothing fresh on the buffet. The pastries were stale. Perhaps some cut up fresh fruits, some fresh cheeses would have been great. We kind of feld bad that someone set up the whole buffet for only 2 guests and the best of it was the freshly made cappucinos.

Very well located in the city, in an ancient building with character. Not another faceless business hotel. Also not with the professional standard, but kind of lovable.

It was a charming hotel, in an ideal location with helpful and friendly staff. Room was spacious and pleasant, towels changed daily. Driver from airport as arranged by the hotel was excellent. Only negative was the noise from the restaurant in the street below. But it wouldn't stop me staying here again. We had a lovely time in Rome and enjoyed our time at Residenza Al Corso.

Only 7 rooms - our group hired almost all of them. It felt like it was our own hotel!
The key to the room could be used to open the other rooms as well. Thus the security-standard was very low (but no problem for us since we had almost all rooms)

nothing special ... The room was cleaner, prettier and much more spacious than we expected, on the other hand, the bathroom was so tiny and the long curtain was being off the hook. There was a restaurant in front of our room so it was noisy around midnight. (I know it can't be helped though.) I noticed one thing that the bottom of a rattan chair was completely broken! ? ... When credit card wasn't available because of the telephone line troubles just before we leave. Though we were upset, the Staff dealed with it friendly and nicely. We appreciate it. ... Coffee every morning was very tasty!
