Facilities within the Property

The managers of the Relais dei Papi own two other residences in Rome, with a similar concept: a thematic inspiration combined with a friendly attention to the guests. At the accommodation on Via dei Gracchi, the Pope has been taken as a symbol, present both at the hotel`s logo and the throne placed on the right side of the front desk. This reception area is open from 8 to 22, though there is always someone 24 hours a day in case you may need anything.

The attendants speak English and Italian and will be always helpful with your requests on tours around Rome or services within the property. Access to internet is also granted from a selected point in the reception area, while at the Relax Room there is a TV and couches where to relax after a day of sightseeing.

Breakfast is the only meal served at the Relais dei Papi: you can either take it at your room, with no extra charge, or at the Relax Room: the items on display are brioche, bread, butter, different jams, nutella, cheese, honey and biscuits, all of these complimented with orange juice, tea, coffee and chocolate.

The "Prati" neighbourhood, where the Relais dei Papi can be found, is one of the most "Italian" areas in downtown Rome, with renovated buildings, commercial streets packed with shops and restaurants and many sights to visit within walking reach. Only 400 metres from the inn, you will find the Sixtine Chapel, a must in your list, as well as the other monuments in Vatican City. The St. Angel Castle, built between the years 135 and 139 by emperors Adriano and Antonino Pio, may become the best starting point before reaching St. Peter`s square and Basilica. Once you have enjoyed these religious sites, the legacy of antique Rome is accessible from the subway station Lepanto: the Coliseum stands only a few stops away, as well as the Piazza Spagna.
