By Plane Roma Fiumicino Airport-Leonardo da Vinci FCA has a light track train station from which you can both take the Direct Train to Roma Termini (scheduled every 30 minutes, leaving on the 7th and the 37th minute of every hour from 6:00 to 23:00, it will take 30 minutes), or, this is usually my personal choice.
Most comfortable alternative is to ask us to reserve for you a personal pick-up at the airport. As we don't take "the front desk commission", having your chauffeur waiting for you at the Arrivals ends up being a much better, cheaper, and reliable service then any taxi. If you desire this service you will have to write us about a 2 days before your arrival, giving the exact flight number, Airline Company and landing time.
Roma Ciampino Airport CIA is the nearest airport to town, but, having a reduced number of flights landing there, it has no train connection to the center of Rome. The least expensive option to reach us is a bit complicated and long, but quite inexpensive. You would have to take the Airport shuttle (about every 30 minutes) to Anagnina, the first stop of the underground Metro line A. Get off at the Termini Stop and then take bus number 64 and get off along Corso Vittorio Emanuele II (first stop after Largo Argentina). Once out of the bus, take Corso Rinascimento and after 200 meters you will find Corsia Agonale on your left.
Low cost companies have a bus service taking you to the area of the Central Train Station Roma Termini, do not waist time after arrival because right after the landing the bus will leave and there will be no other service until the next arriving flight of one of the 2 companies. The ticket has to be bought at a booth right in front of the arrivals. G0 has a similar service, but in that case the bus ticket has to be bought on the plane before landing. You can also take a Taxi.
Car Rentals Driving to town is not that easy, access to the historical part of the center is forbidden and fined (electronical check), and parking around Relais Al Senato requires payment by the hour (or parking in a garage. If you plan to spend several days in Rome before start your trip by car, a good tip is not to rent your car from the airport, but rent or book your rental for the day you are leaving town, all the rentals, but a couple, have an office and deliver cars in the central train station, Roma Termini, less then one mile away, and the other are just little more distance from here.
From the train station Roma Termini Central Train Station and Tiburtina Train Station, and Bus Terminal, are the two important stations in Rome. You can take a Taxi, which should not be too expensive. From Roma Termini, take bus number 64 and get off along Corso Vittorio Emanuele II (first stop after Largo Argentina). Once out of the bus, take Corso Rinascimento and after 200 meters you will find Corsia Agonale on your left. |
