There was a discrepancy over the cost of the room since we had taken our son with us. The voucher advised the cost of the room at 210.00EUR per nt but the reception desk wanted to charge us an additional 100EUR even though it specifically stated 270EUR with the child. But Roberto and Daniel were extremely polite and professional and worked it out for us. We ended up staying at the price quoted and actually stayed for a 4th nite arriving on Aug 9. ... I had stayed at the Raphael in the early 90's prior to your rennovations. It was absolutely fabulous to see the wonderful changes that were made to the rooms. I enjoyed the stay tremendously ... They were as always courteous, prompt and had our car waiting for us, as we had to leave for the airport quite early. ... A hotel which captures the experience of living in a home which has cared for many beautiful antiques and takes pride in what they have but allowing others to enjoy it as well. It has all modern conveniences and above all is in a spectular area of Rome close to everything.

It would be great if some of these hotels could guarantee an early check-in, say 11:00 or even 10:00 for travellers arriving after an all-night flight. We are usually the same travellers checking out by 8:00 a.m. at the end of our stay. The Raphael staff was exceptional, from doorman to housekeeping. We had a fifth floor suite and found it very comfortable, elegant, even. All that is missing is a more reasonable breakfast plan and especially, a radio/CD player. ... Enthusiastically!

liked the modern room,automatic bed(raise top or end touch of a button),blinds ,lights etc controlled from bed . v.good silent air conditioning. Only negative -- CNN only English language TV how about making Sky or BBC available? ... lovely hotel, pleasant very helpful staff , central and quiet at night .good air conditioning --quiet and effective no loud hum..(important in July heat).

Very nice hotel, terrific staff, perfect location, rooftop restaurant very special, rooms quiet and clean but not special, ac turned off in middle of night for several hours!

Room was smaller and bathroom olderthan expected.
A suggestion: water from the shower wets the bathroom, this is very unconfortable
