Travellers Reviews

The lady on reception staff was very pleasant, although as the Hotel is in a building with a number of similar establishments the signage outside could have been more informative and clearer. ... My main point would be the room was not as spacious as the web site would have you believe. The room (407)was clean although there was a large stain on the ceiling which was disappointing. In addition there were no facilities for ironing which I would expect from a 3*(?)hotel nor could we get a coffee during the day which was poor. ... Checking out was straightforward and the lady at reception organised our transport back to the airport which was good. We were able to leave our luggage at reception during the day and received a friendly send off which was appreciated. In terms of value for money it wasn't as good as hotels in other cities I have visited e.g. Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Dublin, London, New York, that may just be a Rome thing though. ... Positives : Location is great for Vatican and access to metro. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Negatives : Size of the room is nothing like as good as web site would have you believe, standard of decor (but may just have been that room) ... A small hotel in a good location, quiet but close and easy access to the attractions of Rome.

it was really nice, the rooms were just renewed. It is also true that the size of the rooms were small a bit. It was sad that they did not yet have ready the coffee house, hopefully later on there will serve the breakfast there and not in tha hallway beside the reception area. To make it short it was great! Thanks for your kind assistance! Anett Kirchner ... the tiny picture did not described the hotel, but it was not a matter ... it was funny as some of the staff did not speak any English, but it was easy since we just met her for the time of our breakfast ... excellent vicinity for a good price

Unfourtunately we arrived quite late at about 11.00 pm. It was a bit difficult for us, because the staff at the reception only spoke Italien and no other language. So we could not really understand, what she wanted to tell us. But nevertheless she seemed very polite and helpful! ... The room was very small for three persons. It was a normal Double room with an aditional bed. Apart from that the room and especially the bathroom were very nice and mordern! It was very clean. Really nice. ... It is not so important, but the 'satelite -tv' was not a real one. It had no international programms, but lots of italien. ... The hotel is situated very nice: It is easy to reach (by metro)and the area is very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms could have been a bit more spacious, but they were very clean and beautifully (and modern) furnished.

It would be helpful to add to the directions that the hotel lobby is one flight of stairs (or elevator) up -- the first floor is not the same as the ground floor and there is no indication on the ground floor of where the lobby is. Four different hotels are in the same building. ... The hotel and room were very nice with this exception -- the air conditioner did not work. It wasn't very hot in Rome when we were there, so it wasn't a great problem, but it did mean we had to have the window open at night, which resulted in sharing all of Rome's noise all night long. ... A very pleasant hotel in a residential neighborhood an easy walk to the Vatican. Many great places to eat within a three or four block radius.

Very nice location for visiting sites in Rome The hotel itself is nicer inside than the street, front entryway and common elevator suggest.

the first time i arrived, earlier than the room was available, there was a very nice person at the desk. when i returned later in the afternoon, there was no one there. i took the key from behind the desk and let myself into my room. ... comfortable. mostly quiet, for rome that is.

My room was ready even though I arrived before the official check-in time. Service was very pleasant and helpful. ... We had booked two separate stays at the hotel at the beginning and end of our two-week visit to Italy. We were disappointed to learn that, even though we had confirmed reservations, the hotel could not accomodate us on our return to Rome because, they explained, our rooms were being remodeled. We couldn't understand why the remodeling would only affect our two rooms -- none of us spoke Italiain well enough to make sense of that situation. However, the receptionist at the hotel, who apologized profusely for the inconvenience, did succeed in finding us another, slightly more expensive hotel during what was obviously a very busy week in Rome. ... A very nice, relatively inexpensive place to stay in Rome. Quite convenient location. Rooms in the back are very quiet and even those on the street are quiet if you keep the windows closed. Rooms are quite small but well-equipped and nicely furnished.

I have arranged by telephone that there will be someone in the reseption because i arrived late at night and i did not know if there would be anyone there. ... the personnel was very helpful and assisted me for directions and reservations to restaurants and events ... It is on the first floor of a four store building!
There is no ventilation in the bathrooms and that causes humidity in the whole room!
... A nice and quiet place near the metro station and a ten minutes walk to the Vatican. Fair value for money.

The continental breakfast was as expected, however the server was somewhat unfriendly. ... The picture on the inernet was very much nicer than the actual room. Our shower was not working properly and altough the the recptionist offered to move us to another room the following day, we chose to stay in that room. I felt that some form of compensation should have been offered as the rooms were not inexpensive.
... The receptionist arranged for a limo to the airport which was very helpful and arrived as expected. ... I felt that the although everything stated on the website was included, the actual representation was not accurate. ... Fairly good, although I would recommend searching for a different place. For the amount of money paid, I felt that the furnshings in the room could have been a little nicer.

Everything was fine except for the very bad impression at the very beginning: i.e 'marketing trick' regarding the hotel itself - it more like a upper class hostel as it occupies 4 floors in a building (shared with other hotels) with no reception at ground level as well as a very old, too small and smelly elevator.
Rooms and corridors were OK.
It this applies to all your 3*hotels on the web then one should be very careful whether to use your services again. ... As stated above - not a real hotel: no ground level reception, terrible elevator shared with lots of other strange looking people ... Good location, if special price applies good value for money, horrible experience at first sight

The room was quite small, but they were great about letting four of us stay in one room. We were quite comfortable and it was a great location. ... I thought the price of the room was a little high. I know we booked at the last minute and that it was the high season--but I think all the rooms in Rome are too high, and this accomodation was very simple and basic. ... They do not take credit cards. Get to breakfast before 10 am. We slept in both mornings so had to miss the coffee, juice and pastry. ... Simple, clean, elegant, with beautiful fabrics and tasteful decor.

The only problem is that the kitchen was situated next to the rooms,in particular to our bedroom;consequently,it was very noisy in the morning when the staff was preparing breakfast. There were a lot of talking too in the hotel corridors late at night done by the hotel staff or early in the morning. It looked as if the doors were not at all sound-proof... ... Very good location to the Vatican city.Quiet area with shops and restaurants close by. A little too far by foot from the very center of Rome.(at least 20mn walking). Nice family hotel staff, warm and friendly...clean rooms.Good room standard.

The directions told us to go to Orvieto (?) Metro station but in fact lepanto (?) is much closer. ... Cheap and cheerful - quite basic but very clean and perfectly acceptable. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Quite a long walk from the main sites!

the staff went out of there way to help in any way they could, but the room was very small and the shower was very small and no place to put your soap and shampoo if you droped it you were thru..and you could not open the shutters they were wired shut and a sign that read keep closed for sercurity reasons...we were on the 4 th floor ... again the rooms were smaller for the price we paid and the bathroom..over all we should have got more for the money
