Antico Podere Gasparinetti means "Old Farm Gasparinetti": as a matter of fact, this house with only three rooms placed within the only Natural Park in the Eternal City, Valle dei Casali, has an interesting story of its own. It was built in 1908 and worked in the beginning as a barn, but in 1928 it was transformed into a country house by Bruto Gasparinetti, a chemistry professor.

By that time, the 12 acres of land surrounding the property were harvested by Felice, grandfather to the actual owners of Antico Podere Gasparinetti. As Felice was a real honest, devoted worker, when Gasparinetti died he left the property to him, and as a way of honouring this generous man, Felice preserved the house as it was, with many of its original details.

During the Second World War, the farm was occupied by the German headquarters, and later on it went through various transformations to meet the needs of the new generations that would live in the residence. In march 2007, the three grand daughters of Felice decided to open this bed and breakfast where a really close attention is provided. Every morning, an authentic "a la italiana" breakfast is served, and a transfer service is offered on request, for a small extra charge, to take you to St Peter`s and Trastevere.
