The breakfast was very minimal - a packaged croissant and coffee. The heating was only on from 8pm to 8am - should have been on all the time and user controllable. Otherwise fine - excellent location in a nice old building. ... Maybe a note re the breakfast and heating as I stated above. ... Good value for money in a great location.

This B&B is located near Termini, very easy to find. The only thing which is lacking is a display board of the hotel outside premises, but if one know the address then it's not a problem. The staff is very polite to welcome you. ... The room provided was quite spacious unlike other budget hotel, nice and clean. ... As the check-out time is 10:00hr but our flight from Rome was 16:00hr hence we requested the staff there to store our luggage there for few more hours, which he did without any problem. ... This is a nice and clean budget accommodation located very near to Termini just few minutes walking distance, with very polite staff. The rooms are quite spacious unlike other budget accommodation. I would strongly recommend this accommodation for other visitor, if I have to visit Rome again in future I would go straight to Pitagora B&B.

In the bathroom we could hear and also smell everything from the bathroom above. It was raining during the nights and the heating was turned off, so it was a little cold there. Very little breakfast, just one croisant from the store and picolo espresso (we were little dissapointed) ... Great situated right next to the Termini station and close to all atractions. Nice clean room and little bathroom, with the problem mentioned above. TV just with local chanels. For that little price it is nice and great situated place.

I had made the incorrect assumption that private bath would mean attached to the room. It was ours alone, but across the hall. Also the towels provided were children's towels, very very small and thin with children's characters sewn into it. ... They were wonderful about allowing us to store the luggage while we toured the city and return later to pick up. Very convenient, professionally handled and easy ... great place to lay your head. Busy area so can easily hear street noise, but convenient to all transportation, spacious room, no frills

Bathroom a little smaller than had expected. it was across the hall from the room and attached to another bathroom and you could here everything. Bedroom was very clean and plenty big for two people. ... Checked out very early, no one there but instructions to leave keys on desk. No problem ... I would state that the property is right across from the police station. ... It was what we wanted, a clean place, very secure, just a place to get a nights sleep, no frills.

There was only a small name plate at the entrance to the B&B. There was no address number. A bigger sign or number would have been helpful. ... The location was excellent, just a block from Termini Station. Easy access to the trains and Metro, shopping, groceries and food. ... Rome is expensive to stay in. We stayed at other hotels in the center of Rome and on the outskirts of the city. We found this to be a good buy and was a very clean and comfortable for the price. On top of that it was very accessible.

be carefull, only 2 rooms are en-suite, the other 2 have to share a bathroom in the corridor, make sure to be specific when booking. ... very central for getting around, plenty of restaurants, bars and cafe's in the area. can be a little noisy at the weekends on the street. there is no ac, but the fans are adequate. rooms are clean, comfortable, but basic.its cheap but good value for the price u pay.

The room was lovely, very modern and clean. Breakfast was every day at 9 AM. The location was ideal, right in the city center and a 5 minute walk from Termini station. ... The check out was 10 AM, but the man in charge had no problem storing our luggage until our flight later that same evening. ... The room was great, very clean and modern. Great value for your money. It is the perfect place to stay for a 4-day visit to Rome.

My staying at Pitagora B&B was very pleasant. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious and we had coffee in bed every morning. Excellent accomodation if what you need is somewhere where you can relax after a long day sightseeing. ... We paid for our room at check-in instead than check-out.

We had a little refrigerator in our room. Very good for teh last daily beer! ... refrigerator ... Good to take rome! Nothing for one who wants to sleep quiet, but that belongs to rome and the near at the Termini station.

We were confused about where to go, and the placard on the B&B is very small...but we googled it and found it easily (after a bit of wandering.) The manager was very polite, and helped us quite a bit during our stay. ... The location is perfect--just a few blocks from Termini, Rome's big train-metro-bus station (location was a major plus, the best part about staying at the Pitagora). The rooms were clean, and we enjoyed the private bathroom. We felt safe and comfortable. ... The Pitagora is hard to get to at first, but the location is perfect--just a few blocks from Termini, Rome's big train-metro-bus station (location was a major plus, the best part about staying at the Pitagora). The rooms were clean, and we enjoyed the private bathroom. We felt safe and comfortable. ... We would recommend the Pitagora to anyone. The location was a short walk away from Rome's transportation hub, Termini, and we felt safe and comfortable the entire trip. The manager was nice, and provided us with a map and key information. It was a great value, and we would stay again.

We had a very friendly greeting when we arrived. The receptionist would have preferred that we pay by cash but accomodated us using a credit card for payment (but we had to pay a 3% fee). Customers who choose to stay here should be made aware of this. ... We really enjoyed our stay. The website mentioned that there was a bit of street noise and we found this to be true. But, overall the accommodation was very clean and the receptionist was helpful. The location was also excellent (right near the train station)!! ... They prefer cash payments and if you choose to use a credit card, there is a surcharge. ... Covenient, clean and helpful staff.

Good location near Termini, helpful and polite staff. Everything was as we expected or even better. Size of the room was ok for two. Breakfast isn't that big but there is many good (and cheap) cafes (and restaurants) on that area. Just go and enjoy Rome!

Clean, secure and comfortable ground floor room with ensuite facilities. Very adequate for a short stay in Rome.
The B&B is conveniently within a short walking distance of Terminus railway station, city bus station and the subway, so it is very handy for travel around and beyond Rome. The immediate area has some useful services, such as laundromats and internet, but is rather grimy and noisey (like much of Rome). There is a cheerful local bar across - and on - the street.
I would recommend Pitagora B&B to a budget traveller spending two or three days in Rome and wanting an acceptable level of comfort in their accommodation at a competitive price.

We just left the key at the desk as we were told to do. We didn´t meet any personel at our check-out ... A simple and fairly cheap B&B with clean rooms at a good location in Rome. If you just want to have some where to sleep and don´t want to spend a lot of money on hotel we recommend this B&B.

The only disadvantage of the B&B was the very noisy location. The room was very clean, the bed was confortable, and the location was convenient.
We didn't try the breakfast since we had read such bad reviews about it; however, there are plenty of restaurants nearby. ... The use of bath mats would help a great deal.
... The B&B breakfast was clean, well located, but very noisy.

Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. It wasn't clear that breakfast would be served to the room and that you had to be in the room between 7:00am and 9:00am to get it. ... The price was great but if you can afford more I would considered 'upgrading' to a different location. It was great value for the price but the area seemed a bit dodgy and the room itself had no access to the window which made it a bit dark. And the beds were hard - but honestly this expected in smaller b&b's.

It was rather cold at night for a couple of nights in November and there was no heating on. ... Basic but clean and convenient for public transport. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Breakfast not worth having - spend 1.50 Euros at a local bar and get a decent cup of coffee and chocolate croissant

EXCELLENT LOCATION! THE SHOWER WAS EXTREMELY SMALL AND THE WINDOW WOULD NOT CLOSE PROPERLY, HOWEVER IT WAS GOOD VALUE, GREAT LOCATION. AND THE CAFE BELOW THE BUILDING IS EXCELLENT! I WOULD MOST LIKELY STAY AGAIN.

1. The breakfast leaves much to be desired for the price (I expected some milk even in sealed small cartons) not just black espresso; and at least a bread roll and butter plus some orange juice. Certainly this just does not cost that much. 2. The place is very close to Termini station - a big positive. 3. I think that a small floor mat just outside the shower would make a difference. 4. A change of towels, at least once every two days is expected. 5. Otherwise reasonably priced. ... 1. I expected someone to hand in the keys to - we left just as if we left our home - empty and no one to hand keys to. ... 1. a floor mat outside shower 2. more frequent change of towels and bed linen. ... Reasonably good for price paid. Could be cheaper

Very close to train station. ... Room was clean but very hot and faced the street so a lot of noise day and night. Very easy to walk to almost anywhere in central Rome. ... Rooms are very hot and face the street on the first floor so they are quite noisey day and night. ... Cheap, clean but far from luxury.

The room was basic but clean and quite spacious. Was not particularly quiet due to the busy street and would have been good to have a bath mat and hand towel in the bathroom which would usually be expected. Breakfast was a little basic and could have been a little better to get value for money. Location to station was great. ... Very basic, clean, good location to station and transport.

B&B very close to Termini Station which was very convenient for us. ... The rooms are located on the first floor and windows are facing street and traffic. Very noisy. Not able to sleep unless you have sleeping pill! ... Staff was there to greet us and gave us a map of Rome. The next morning staff knocks on your door at 8:30 a.m. to bring you breakfast (coffee and croissant). However, should you leave earlier (due to flight departure), staff is not available. No flexibility other than 8:30 a.m. ... Good location, near Termini Station, and good price $60 Euros, but very noisy place due to traffic and location.

Noisy, dark room at 1st floor. ... Advantage: placed in the centre of the town, but the price vs. quality accommodation should be at the level of max. 50 EUR (not 78EUR). ... Noisy, small, dark room. Clean and placed in the centre on the other hand

Room was certainly adequate however we never saw the owner/manager after we arrived. The owner/manager wasn't impolite but everything was all business with no extra involvement with the guests. ... Check out consisted of leaving the keys on the cluttered desk. ... I would not stay here again. ... Look for another place in the same price range.

Reception nothing like the picture on the internet ... Was dissapointed in the Pittagora.
Prior to our booking we read the reviews adn decided it looked like a nice place with all the required comforts.
Sadly mistaken. Private bathroom was size of cupboard, which lacked a shelve or area to keep your washing items. Shower is a joke. Head was not resting in brackets and sprayed water all over the show. did complain, but that did no help.
The room was clean, but the fan was black with dust. Switch on once and switch off immediately, dust every where. We had to suffer lack of oxygen as we could not open shutters, so day felt like night.
A a chest of drawers would of been nice to pack our clothes into. Wardrobe had two coat hanger in, and we could not pack anything into it as it was jammed packed with blankets.
A few comforting commodoties ie. kettle and fridge, would be of a benefit to lodgers. A glass or two would of been appreciated.
The continual noise from the celler pub which was directly under our bedroom, and the banging of the heavy front door next to our bedroom (room no 1) kept us awake at night. To add to our lack of sleep was the very hard mattress. ... Saw no one, left the keys on the desk
Only saw the staff members on checking and when breakfast delivered to our room at 9.15am ... Should not be advertised as a B & B, Just a B for Bed and the breakfast is a joke.
... Rome was nice, B & B was awful, the only good thing is a good location.
We actually dreaded going back in the evening after a days sight seeing.
Will never go back to the Pitagora, it spoilt our dream holiday in Rome
I wish people would be more truthfull in their reviews.

Other B&B's have tea and coffee making facilities and a water glass in the room. They weren't in the room at Pitagora and would have been appreciated. It was inaccurate to call what we were given 'breakfast' - it was just a cup of coffee and a single pastry at a nearby wine bar - not even any juice. That hardly constitutes even a continental breakfast. ... The room is right on the street above and opposite wine bars. It was extremely noisy until about 1 in the morning.
