If we had not decided to use airport car facility it would have been very difficult to find the entrance to the B&B as there was not a sign outside. ... Breakfast selection was poor and there was no fresh produce. ... The Hotel White is probably better value for money. ... The photo's on the web site enhance and overstate the reality. However, the accommodation was adequate and in nice warm weather the balcony is a poitive attraction. However, I wonder how noisy the street noise and stuffy the rooms would be in a hot Summer. ... A central location with easy access to key parts of Rome.

We really enjoyed our stay but felt that more investment needs to occur with the fixtures and fittings of the room. The furniture was in a poor state of repair and the wardrobe had an overpowering smell of mothballs. Our normal level of accomodation is 4 star or higher but we also enjoy camping so we do have a balanced view of what is good value. I would say overall that, given the location of the Pantheon B&B, the extra investment on the room would make the place a first class stay. ... They used the better photos for the web site than the room we had. ... Fantastic location, friendly staff, stylish entrance, tatty bedroom.

Overall this was an excellent value. The location, only steps from the Pantheon, could not have been better. The cost, given other options, was very reasonable.
On the negative side was the smallness of the shower: as a 6'6', 275 lb, person it was a very tight squeeze but I managed. Also no one was available most of the time so advice and help with any problems had to be sought elsewhere, although this was understandable given that only 4 rooms comprised the property.
The balcony, from which you can see the Pantheon, was an added plus.
Also we were unaware that we had to pay in cash, no credit cards. ... In effect there was no check out as we were required to pay for the three nights in advance. ... The alternatives available regarding parking should be described. We were provided with a suggestion regarding parking in response to our email request. ... An excellent value given its location in the heart of Rome....cost didn't break the bank ...clean, comfortable, modest with a touch of character.

Clean, comfortable, affordable and centrally located-what more could we ask?! ... See above comment, and we loved that it was in the Pantheon/Piazza Navona neighborhoods and near a bus stop, etc.

I love Ida the Indian lady who owns or runs the Pantheon View B& B!!!!!!!!! I got in from Paris with a shocking flu. During the flight one of my ears were so sore ( like a knife jabbing it) that I told Ida and she gave me the correct Hospital to go to because she understood I my have perferated my ear and I would need a ENT specialist. Well, off my husband and I went and pronto I saw Doctors and even a ENT guy straight away! I had a change of medicine and no, my ear was inflamed and very red from all the blowing of the nose one does with flu. I suffer from Heart/Lung disease so you can imagine how scared we were but Ida put us in the correct direction and with the new medicine I was getting better. Everyday Ida would ask how I was and if I needed help. No, I did not but it was such a great and secure feeling to know someone on the ball like her is there. As for the B&B, we loved it. The balcony was there with the roof view of the Panthenon. Her breakfast was a cute clean room with a good choice of stuff. That saves time - eat in and then off to explore rome. It in just the best spot for someone like me who cannot do hills too well. We had a few steps to the room but it was no problem and the little lift was a god send! So two happy customers and we will tell everyone to go there. It was my last long haul flight I can take , Doctors said one more and thats it! So, what great memories I have and thankyou Ida for helping me and making me feel safe in a fair away place with my health condition. ... It was even better than we imagined. I felt like a real Roman entering the gates not some fancy hotel . Just like a 'local' and thats what travel is all about. Its quiet and I saw the swallows flying in the early morning air every day. If there was one thing I would have liked it would be a room safe. ... I was sad to leave Rome but we did bring them some well needed rain! LOL ... For the disabled in all of your websites the number of stairs would be good. 3 or 5 are OK for some like me but if I had to climb something like 20 everyday , I would look elsewhere - tired before the day or evening out began. I do like room safe. ... Its in the middle of everything. If you want a room like the 'Hilton' well, you are not getting it here but why would you?? I felt like it was my little apartment in Rome, a local. Ida is a kind and helpful person who is 'on the ball' and thats what I like when I have a medical problem!

Stress free. We claimed our bags and identified a driver easily. Within 30 minutes from our airport arrival we were checked in to the B&B! ... Great location. Ida our hostess was most welcoming. Rooms were clean and adequate, as expected.
Suggestion: Better effort in preparing breakfast. Great opportunity to impress guests was missed. Prepackaged danishes and sweet rolls seems out of place....especially when there was a grocery store within walking distance.

Very disappointed to find elevator/lift not operating; had to carry luggage up several flights of stairs. ... More than half of the time, the elevator/lift was out of order, necessitating climbing of stairs. The elevator was the major reason I had chosen PVBB, because both my wife and I have bad knees. ... Host was very helpful and no request was too much trouble for her. Even helped us with our luggage. Location was very convenient for sightseeing in Rome. ... Accomodation was very clean. Bathroom was very narrow, especially the shower recess which was about 60 centimetres square, too tiny to bend to pick up the soap - a soap holder would help a little. ... Really close to the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain, really close to good choice of restaurants, the area itself is quite safe with a friendly feel.
The balcony with table and 2 chairs was a bonus of some extra room and light.
Shower was constricted for person with broad shoulders or large build. ... Good central location for a short stay in Rome, clean but not overly spacious, bit more effort than usual with the decor, overall generally good value for money in Rome.

Arranged with owner to be collected from airport by their driver. Took the stress out of arriving after a long flight. ... Unfortunately on day of departure staff suggested they would telephone a radio cab to take us to railway station. This did not happen as it was peak hour Monday morning even though we suggested they organise it earlier. We were a little stressed causing us to walk into the street and find our own transport to railway station. ... see above ... The position of Pantheon View is very good and would recommend it to others. ... In Australia accommodation is not usually in an apartment building however we were very happy with this arrangement. The accommodation was quiet, within walking distance to major sites and shopping is very good.

Location...location! We walked to the Vatican, the Colosseum, Popolo, everywhere. Outdoor dining was available nearby in our piazza as well as p. Navonna even though it was February. The staff was helpful in accomodating our need to leave our luggage after check-out and come back for it later. ... Some of the breakfast items were available all day which made for a convenient mid-day snack. We stayed in room 4 which was actually a suite and would be perfect to accomodate up to a family of 5. Unfortunately, they disable the heaters and after being caught in an October rain shower, we were quite chilled and were not able to turn any heat on. Nor could we reach any staff person to turn it on for us. So we were just stuck being cold. Since the contract says that heat is included, it should be. Note that while it does have sattelite tv, the only English-speaking channel is MTV. And there are no phones in the room. Also, keep a sharp eye out for the place. The only indication from the street (besides the street number) is the inscription by the intercom buzzer. Go up to the third floor. Lastly, save your euros and take the bus there. One goes right by, and several go very close. Cabfare is about 46e.

We got the space we requested, but our traveling companions were placed in a room next to us, then asked to move to accommodate another guest. That was annoying, since we had reserved together long in advance. ... It would be nice if the continental breakfast included some fresh breads instead of just packaged breads. ... Information about the electrical requirements in the hotel and whether they will provide electrical adapters would be appreciated, but not critical.
They did NOT provide bath soap. That was unusual.
They charged extra for additional towels requested. This was a very hot time of year and it was not so unusual to need additional towels. I didn't like that. ... Fabulous location within walking distance to pretty much all major sights. Only view of the Pantheon was really just the roof, but it was still a pleasant view. Great balcony in the rooms flanking the breakfast room. The elevator is up a couple of steps from ground level, and there are lot's of step-ups and step-downs. Terrible location for someone in a wheelchair. We'd definitely stay there again on location alone. No AC, but the temperature during the night was very pleasant and comfortable in our room.

Perfect location to see Rome by foot: We saw all the sights without using taxis, buses or metro. From the balcony we saw the Pantheon only approx 100 metres away. ... The B&B is situated on the third floor, so it is necesssary to use the elevator. The elevator is small and a little bit 'scary' so this accomodation is not siutable for the elderly or for those who hates elevators. Also the balcony towards the street, is not very suitable for small children.

Excellent location, but we never saw any staff during our entire stay. Luckily, we had no problems, because we weren't sure there was anyone around who could have helped us if a problem arose. Arrival experience at the Termini Station - be careful of how much it costs to travel by taxi across Rome. We had to pay 40 euros for our ten minute taxi ride! ... Accommodation has to be paid for up front and in cash. ... If you want to leave your cases at the B&B for the day until its time to depart, note that they charge you 5 euros for the privilege. ... The Pantheon View B&B is in the perfect location for all the main tourist spots in Rome. The rooms were beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the facilities were good. The only slight disappointment was the very limited choice of breakfast - only a very light continental breakfast was provided - fruit juice, coffee and a croissant/cake/melba toast - not very imaginative! ... We used the taxi pick-up service organised by the Pantheon B and B - it was quick, the driver was kind and we were very pleased. ... Extra charge for a clean towel 1.5 euros - should this not be included in room charge? ... We left Rome in the evening and were charged 5 euros each to leave our case in reception. We were surprised to be charged. ... For anyone, perhaps a lady, travelling alone this b & b is ideal. You are perfectly safe - the caretaker's family lives upstairs. ... This is part of an apartment on the top floor of an old building just around the corner from the Pantheon. As long as you don't mind the noisy old plumbing (which really adds to its character anyway) a very good place to stay. Pantheon B & B staffperson met us at check-in. We were a bit early, and they had our room ready on time. The woman was a bit quick in explaning 'the rules,' but the rules were reasonable and made sense (e.g. check out time. She also gave us a good map of Rome.
We were exhausted and went to our room/went to sleep. A half hour later, the woman came into our room (after a brief knock) and explained she had given us the wrong room. So, we picked up our things and moved. She said she was sorry many times, but we believe she should have accepted responsibility for the mistake and just explained it to the other folks...
I should note that they were great at communicating by e-mail before we left. ... Given some of the reviews we had read, Pantheon B and B exactly met our expectations. Location-wise, we couldn't have beat it for the price. We loved the location, and we later stayed in a more 'expensive' hotel in Rome that didn't offer much higher quality and such a good locale. Quiet in the Pantheon area, generally speaking. Many people said the breakfast was terrible, but we found it exactly comparable to everywhere else we stayed. Even a four star hotel in Cortona offered some of the same items. It was on time, hot, and enough. Rooms were clean. Water pressure good. Shower and bathroom area fine. We RARELY saw staff. Just at check-in (pay cash at time of check in) and at breakfast one morning when a woman was passing through to clean rooms. We would eat, and then go back to our room for a few minutes before leaving for the morning. Someone had picked up our dishes in the meantime, but we never saw them. If staff attention is important to you, skip this place. Also, no shampoo, soap. We found it just fine for our needs. ... We appreciated that for 5 Euro they allowed us to store our bags for the day. We just left them in the room. When we came to pick them up, they buzzed us in. Again, we never saw them. But our bags (backpacks) were nicely laid out for us at the entrance, ready for us to slip on and head to Termini Rail Station. I was impressed. ... Good value for the dollar. Location is wonderful. I'd stay there again. I'd recommend it if staff attention is not important to you and you're looking for a nice place to rest your head with few frills.
