By plane: Palazzo Cardinal Cesi is really easy to reach from both airports in Rome, Ciampino (35 kilometres away, approximately 30 minutes by car) and Fiumicino or Leonardo Da Vinci (30km, also a 30 minutes drive). There are all sorts of means of public transport to get to your room easily and fast, and the convenient location of the hotel sure helps.
By car: - From Ciampino: take the SS7DIR motorway and go along Via dei Ciampino before getting on SS7 and then, A90 highway: stay on this track for around 24 kilometres, till exit 1, where you must get off. Continue along SS1 and turn right at Via Aurelia in the direction "Roma/ Aurelio/ Cittá el Vaticano". Once in central Rome, drive along Via Aurelia, Piazza Irnerio and Via Baldo degli Ubaldi; turn left at Via Angelo Emo, go along Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie, Via Candia and veer right in Via Leone IV. Pass Piazza del Risorgimento on your left hand side, continue along Via Stefano Porcari and take your left into Via Plauto. At the end of this street, turn right into Via dei Corridori and left into Via Rusticucci. As you join Via della Conciliazioni, you will have to make a U-turn at this very same avenue in order to reach the hotel, placed on number 51. - From Leonardo Da Vinci-Fiumicino airport: get on the A91 highway towards the signs indicating the A1, Via della Magliana and Grande Raccordo Anulare. Continue along the A90 highway and follow the directions already described for those arriving in Ciampino.
By train: From Fiumicino you can take the trains to Trastevere station, and then get on another connection to San Pietro station. At Ciampino you can connect to line A of the metro -in the direction Battistini- and exit the underground at Ottaviano or Cipro-Musei Vaticani station. From these stops you will have to walk a few blocks to the inn, or take a taxi. |
