Inside Palazzo Cardinal Cesi you will experience a number of features of the lifestyle led by religious people: the cloisters, now a wonderful internal courtyard, can be the perfect stop to take in some fresh air after an exhausting day at the Vatican museums; the old library was turned into a comfortable sitting room where you may relax at a few chairs and tables, or even check your e-mail for no extra charge at the internet point. The attendants speak English, German, French, Spanish and Italian and the reception desk is open 24 hours a day. |
Breakfast is served at the "Refectory", a fantastic room where monks used to gather for meals and pray three times a day: the items on display are eggs, vegetables, butter, different jams, cheese, sausages, yoghurt and fruit. In addition to this, a bar service is provided: if you are too hungry after your excursions, you may ask for a plate of ham and melon, mozzarella or other snacks. On request, meals can be prepared for a party of 10 persons minimum. |
