when we arrived we were shown to a room that had no onsuite which was to us an essential .when we queired this as we had definately booked an onsuite ,we were told our room was taken and would be ready the next day which it was.the hotel was very good but i would not have stayed on if the room had not been changed the next day.but in saying this i would definately return again as the restaraunt was perfect and i have recommended the hotel to my friends and coleagues.
...
say more about the restarunt as it was very good and the manager exellent.
...

Throughout our trip to Italy we stayed at B & B's through Rome and then Tuscanyby.com. All of our B & B's were excellent. We made the mistake of staying at one B & B through a different service. Never again, it lacked all of the charm we found at your B & B's. The next time we are in Italy we are using your service throughout. I would highly recommend this service to anyone I know who travels in Italy.
...
It was so easy to use.
...
The free pick-up service was fabulous. We had a little confusion about our B & B since it is part of hotel. Clarifying this in the web site would be helpful. Our only real problem was that we couldn't check in until 3:00 p.m. and we had arrived from the US at 8:00 a.m. The hotel let us have breakfast though. Next time we will try and arrive later in the day or check with the B & B first to see if we can get any earlier check in.
...
The breakfast at the Orange Garden was great and the view from the room was fantastic.
...
I wish we had stayed at the Orange Garden throughout our stay in Rome
...
I can't remember if the breakfast is described.
...
Absolutely - I loved your service.
...
Heaven is having breakfast, a huge Italian buffet, overlooking the Roman skyline feeling like you could almost touch St. Peters. And then going into a large room with incredibly tall ceilings, opening the huge shutters and Viola! there it is again, a beautiful view of St. Peters. Wow! For about $100 a night - this is a great deal!!!

The information in site is misleading. I was told that I would be picked up at the airport upon arrival. I e-mailed my arrival time and flight details and was told that someone would be there, with a sign with my name on it, or else with the name of the Hotel. There was no one at the airport to pick me up. I rang the hotel on my mobile (international call's are expensive on mobile phones, and I was holding for about 3-4 minutes) and was told that someone would arrive within 30-40 mins. An hour later I rang again, as no one had arrived. Finally someone did come, and brought me outside to where I was expecting a Taxi to bring me to the hotel.
There were four or five men standing around who seemed to be drivers. The man who I thought had come to pick me up, told me to go with one of the other men. I did so, and was brought to a minibus.. There were 8-9 other passengers waiting for a ride to the hotel too. We were told to get onto the minibus..but there was not enough room on the bus for every one. Some people got on the bus, but myself, my partners and a few others couldn't get on. Most of the other passengers, who were elderly Americans, understanably refused to leave without the other passengers in their group. There was an atmosphere of extreme confusion not helped by the language barrier and the over emotional taxi driver, who kept waving his arms and speaking in Italian, which no-one could understand. When one of the elderly pasengers asked if the ride to the hotel was free, he shook his head and in broken english told us that we would have to pay him when we got there. At this point all the passengers got off the minibus. Myself and my partner went back to the man who seemed to be in charge of the operation, and he told us to go back to the bus and that it was supposed to be free. We did so, but the driver was no-where to be found. Myself and my partner finally decided that we would travel to the hotel at our own expense, and got a train to Rome, then got in a taxi. This cost us €8.50 each, plus about €10 to the the hotel. I didn't mention this to the receptionist when I got there, as I was extremely tired having left Dublin at 7AM, and had finally arrived at the hotel at 2PM. I was so tired from all the hastle and waiting around, I went straight to bed. I didn't fancy trying to explain what had happened as I don't speak Italian, and I wasnn't sure if the receptionist would understand. I slept for most of the afternoon and basically missed out on the first day of my weekend break. One of the main reasons that I booked The Orange Garden, was that I was told that would be picked up upon arrival at the airport, therefore making the most of my time in Rome, and not waste it looking for trains, buying train tickets and changing over to taxi's etc. I was only staying for 3 days, and wanted to make the most of my time there. Apart from that the hotel was nice and I enjoyed my stain there. It's a pity it got off to a bad start.
...
I found it very useful, and the response time was very good.
...
I would say that the apartment/hotel I stayed in was basic, but nice. It was owned and run by a 4 star hotel down the street. We ate in the hotels breakfast room every morning. The buffet breakfast was great, with a lot of choice. There was a great view from the breakfast room over St Peters Basilica and the rest of Rome. This was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel, and I was really pleased with my choice. The only drawback was the confusion that arose upon my arrival at the airport, as stated above. But apart from this, I really enjoyed my stay there.

The shuttle service to the airport was very convinient. It cost 45 euro, but was worth.

...
The hotel has an unbelievable access to Vatican. It awakes you with its bell. The restaurant on the 6th floor for the breakfast provides a nice close view of the Saint Pietro to all the guests equally. The access to the other spots for tourisme is very nice. The walk to the heart of the historical area itself never bores you.

We could have used an iron but the hotels in rome are not allowed to give them out. I would be a helpful hint if this was mentioned somewhere. An outside light that stayed on or was switched at the gate before going up the steps would be good as it was quite dark.
Our room was not cleaned one day or new towels given!

Comfortable and quite quiet. Very close to the Vatican within easy walking distance. Good value if you need a central location and don't want to pay hotel prices. Breakfast buffet at hotel were good though temperature of coffee a bit cool!

We were picked up at the airport by a man with a sign in his hand saying Hotel Atlante and then taken directly to the hotel. My booking was at the Orange Garden B&B but we received a room at the Hotel Atlante Star which I presume was an equal or better alternative.

I got the impression that the romm would be a little bit bigger but since we only stayed for a couple of nights there was no problem with the size of the room.

At the day of the checkout we were in the middle of our exploration of Rome and when we arrived at the hotel at noon the receptionst kindly asked us of our plans in Rome. When we said that we were going out again in the afternoon he informed us that our stay ended the same day and he also wondered if we didn't have any new plans for our visit in Italy. I was totally out of date and since we should be in Sorrento the same day we hurried up to our room, got our stuff and checked out at 12.15 without any complaints or extra fees. The receptionist was were poilte and helpful the whole time.

the website was helpful overall in choosing a room in rome.

i would have prefered additional information about the hotel such as noise levels (our room was assaulted by LOTS of traffic noise)
...
the description of the orange garden should have included the fact that the reception desk is at another hotel down the street. typicaly one goes to a b & b for the intimacy of the experience that a hotel doesnt usually provide. the orange garden felt more like an apartment building.

your website did have many good options and ultimately we choose this inn because of the free airport pick-up. other hotels/b&b's should consider doing the same as this was a BIG plus for us.

a driver was to meet us as the airport gate upon our arrival however we had to call to let the driver know we had arrived. after 22 hours of flying this was abit disappointing. but the driver did arrive within 15 minutes.
...
i do not remember the website images so well, but i did expect the b&b to have a common area for relaxing/reading etc as well as staff on hand for questions. as it was the 'staff' was down the street at another hotel. this should be stated on the website so that expectations are clear. also the room was quite small and dark. the bathroom was however clean and well-lit.

as to staff. everyone was polite but lacking sincere warmth. this kind of politeness seems then artifical.

the location was as stated and we did appreciate the free airport pick-up and the reduced fee airport drop-off.
...
staff was helpful in requests to find another hotel for my return visit as they were booked.
...
street noise for front rooms very HIGH which made sleep difficult

airconditioner didint really work and it WAS hot!

room (and hallway to room) was poorly lit

b&b is located down the street from main hotel and staff

easy walking access to vatican which was excellent for the 8:30 line-up time!
...
...not really worth describing as i do not think i would recommend this inn to a friend. not becuase it was 'bad' but i think one could do much better. however, the one advantage of this inn as mentioned earlier is the airport pickup which makes arrival nice and easy.

The B&B offered a free airport pick up service which was the primary reason we chose this B&B. However, my friend had to wait over an hour to be picked up and then waited for over another hour before the driver left the airport. In all it took three hours before she arrived at the hotel. She was planning on going to Pompei that day but had to cancel because of this delay and she had no other opportunity to visit Pompei. She came all the way from Australia and is unlikely to get another chance to visit Italy so this was very disappointing.

While we appreciated the pick up service, we did not expect such a long delay in pick up. If we had known that a delay of such length was possible, my friend would have made her own way in so she could have gone to Pompei.

The room we got was not the room which we expected. We got the room with a private bathroom in the hallway. This room was very small and located at the street site. The person behind the hotel counter was aloof and only respectful on the surface. In fact, most request for help or amenities (eg adapters) were met with,'Sorry, we don't have....' That's it....No, 'We will try to get them mfor you and will deliver it to you..' Dissapointing in that respect.

The 'B&B' was not ready and I was sent to the Hotel Domus, the kind of hotel I tried hard to avoid, stocked with American tour groups and mediocre food.
...
It was not really a B&B, which implies a family-owned and family-run affair with a management that is very familiar with the local scene. It would have been a better value if the breakfast were acceptable. The restaurant view, of course, was amazing, among the best in Rome. But the food was below-par and the coffee was among the worst I have had anywhere in the world, quite an achievement in Rome.
A suggestion about the room: put in at least two more towel bars, use some intermediate-sized towels, and substitute an absorbent terrycloth instead of the large, napkin-like things.
