The staff were most welcoming and helpful. We were prepared to cancel our end of holiday return to the Nerva if we were not happy or decided on something cheaper in cost but we loved our time there and did not hesitate to end our time in Italy by returning to this small but terrific hotel. ... Very clean, very well situated, had a certain charm about it. Small and intimate and staff were most hospitable. ... Smooth and easy. ... Located near historical excavations. ... Above the price that many may wish to pay if sticking to a tight budget but safe, comfortable and well worth it. family atmosphere without being noisy. Well located and good if you like to walk a little. Unless wishing to get cabs, I wouldn't recommend it for people with difficulty in walking, elderly.

what a wonderful location! we walk out the door and face an ancient wall! the narrow streets represent so much history. We really loved it. Yes the rooms were small, but cosy! The price was the highest we paid but a central location is really worth it! ... again this had a marvelous location! ... keep emphasizing that you walk out the door and are in ancient Rome! ... Small, cozy and great location

It would be useful to have a little bit more cloth hangers, shampoo and conditioner (in view of past restrictions on carrying on toileteries via customs). On one occasion there were only two sets of towels left rather than three. ... Perhaps slightly smaller than expected, but it did not spoil the stay ... Would definitely recommend

Generally, pictures on websites of rooms , for most hotels I booked, show them to be larger than they really are. ... See comment of spaciousness above.

The welcome was very cheerful and welcoming. ... The room was very small and faced a busy street. The air conditioning was not on when we arrived and I believe they turned the air off during the night so the room was very warm and very small not very attractive but clean. The price was more than the expectations compared to a lovely Residenza Cellini I stayed in two weeks earlier in Rome for the same price. ... See commments above regarding the accommodations. ... Rick Steves completely OVER-RATED this Hotel. The location was great however, walking distance from the Forum. I would not stay at the Nerva again. ... I would recommend another lovely Hotel instead.
