Even though I arrived quite late at night, someone was outside to greet me when I pulled up in the cab. A pleasant surprise after a day's flight! ... I was pleasantly surprised that I got to stay in the newer building around the corner (above the Irish Pub). It was extremely nice, and the pub was so very nice & friendly. It was wonderful to start each day with their staff and their wonderful breakfast. ... All of the employees were so very kind..from being there upon my late night arrival, to helping me get to the bus station when it was time to depart. Since I was a woman traveling alone, their kindnesses made my time in Rome even more amazing. I'll never forget how safe they made me feel, and how friendly they were. And they spoke great English! ... Great location in the middle of most of Rome's great sights! Clean and modern rooms. ... Perfect. In the middle of all the sights I wanted to see, and near all the transportation hubs I could've needed. A nice, clean, quiet room for a great cost. Perfect lodging for someone who does their own homework, likes their independence, but who may need a little help with a question or two.

Instructions could have been clearer about actual entrance and a sign would be helpful. Didn't know about the street numbering scheme to start with. ... Didn't realise it was on the fourth floor. This was the only negative aspect of the accommodation. Would have prefered more detail as to what breakfast consisted of.
... On the fourth floor and no lift. ... Excellent, very clean, good quality fixtures.

The breakfast vouch was for a restaurant around the corner from Nazional Rooms. The restaurant was cozy place, the people were friendly, and food very good. Having breakfast there very morning was a very nice perk of our stay. ... The rooms are on the 4th story and there are no lifts in the building, so travel light or you will have a hard time bringing all your luggage of those stairs. ... Nazional Rooms offers rooms that are spacious and very clean. The sheets and towels are changed every day. There is also a phone in the room. The rooms have locks, as well as the floor where the rooms are and the front of the building, so we felt very safe our whole stay. Breakfast is served at a restaurant around the corner - a very nice and cozy place. There are also other places within walking distance where you can have lunch and dinner, as well as an English pub across the street. We stopped by there every afternoon to savour some guiness.

They were great. Very helpful with every question we asked. tried their best to satisfy our requests. Plus they gave us a lot of helpful hints to make our visit that much better. ... Quick and fast, very polite ... Probably the best location possible for seeing Rome ... Friendly and comfortable, everything easily accessible.

The directions from the main rail station were a little misleading. That is the distance as stated was much more than 200 metres. We still found our way but did become a little confused. ... The young manager was very helpful and cheerful. He even helped carry our baggage up those stairs. ... No ... Well maintained, clean and ideally located. Friendly service. All the facilities required for tourists with a budget. The stairs are a bit of a negative though.

We liked the hotel very much, although the stairs almost killed us( it was extremely hot in Rome at the time of our stay)! The receptionists was very nice and the rooms were great! ... as above ... Maybe that the stairs can be heavy to climb upstairs for those who are not in good condition. People might not consider 4th floor so high up. Maybe it says on the web site that there is no elevator? ... Very central and good service, to a VERY good price!

I was pleasently suprised. The rooms were very clean and neat. We did not expect the kitchen facilities. ... The Hotel staff was helpful in letting us storing our luggage after checking out and getting us transport to the Airport. Unfortunately the transport did not arrive and the staff arranged alternative transport by Taxi at the same cost. ... A cosy hotel room that is more like a selfcatering flat fit for a longer stay.

Freiendly greeting and advised on how to get to main tourist attractions. ... Excellent room up 4 flights of stairs and no lift so you have to be fit. But excekllent once you are there ... The room was excellent and the location very central. Could not fault it ( even with the four flights of stairs) ... Very good value would certainly recommend

The staff is very very helpful and understanding. They even helped me with the luggage and were very cooperative. ... There are painted drawings on the wall that are extremely beautiful and inspiring in the room. ... They allowed me to keep my bags in the B&B until my flight time, which was very helpful and allowed me to make use out of the last day in Rome. ... they should include that the rooms had a DVD player and that there are a few DVDs that one can borrow for free to watch in the rooms. ... it is a spacious room, with a very clean bathroom, a tv and dvd, which overlooks Via Nazionale in the center of Rome.

We took a taxi and the taxi driver found the street no. but not the hotel cause you had to look very closely to find the name! A bigger sign would help!! ... The staff were very friendly, rooms were excellent, and great value for money! ... The only negative thing is that you should state that you have to be fir to carry your bags up the 4 flight of stairs !! ... I would say that it is a great value for money hotel, great location, friendly and very helpful staff!! I would reccomend it every time!

Our plane was late in arriving, so the receptionist stayed back to welcome us. He also carried our two large suitcases up 4 flights of stairs!!!! Very happy!! ... The rooms and bathrooms were quite spacious, the breakfasts fresh and tasty, the staff willing to bend over backwards, the location so central yet not noisy. Couldn't have been happier. ... No. ... The stairs did not seem like a fouth floor, considering the size of each flight due to the very high ceilings. They are exhausting, specially at the end of the day. ... Nice clean rooms, good location, good price considering the city, good breakfast. What you get is a room with cleaning service and breakfast in a restaurant around the corner. If I went to Rome again, on the same budget, I would stay there once more.

The receptionist helped us to carry our luggage to the 4-th floor. We also were able to check in eraly, almost as soon as we arrived at 10AM. The receptionist recommended internet services, a grocery store and a place where we could eat. He also gave us a hotel bussiness card with the phone number where we could call if we have any problems. ... The room was very clean. The only thing we did not like is that the room was too close actually right by the entrance door to the hotel, so it was not as private and quiet as we expected. however the window was facing the backyard of the building so we did not hear any public transport form the Via Nazionale. We also did not like the smell of smoking coming from other room(s).The staff was very helpful and pleasant. We had some problem with plumbing one day which was fixed right away.
... We asked a receptionist to be waken up early in the morning on the day we were leaving and our request was met on time. ... Great location, close to some of the sightseeing must see like National Museum of Rome, the Church of Santa Mariadegli Angeli. The Nazional rooms recommended us a wonderful restaurant, 'La Barrocco',one block down from the hotel with great servise and delicious authentic italian food. ... Very convinient location(close to metro Republica and Termini station) on one of the central streets of Rome Via Nazionale where you can find lots of nice shops and restaurants. All important sightseeing places within a walkable distance for people who like to walk. Good price with breakfast included.

I believe it is noted on the site, but Nazional Rooms is located on the 4th floor, which in Italy means it is located on the 5th floor if you are traveling from the states. There is not an elevator, so it is a bit of a hike, so anyone who might have disabilities or a handicap shoudl look for other accomodations. The room was very clean and spacious and it was cleaned daily. The room was also very quiet for being located on a major street. The location is very convenient - 2 blocks from a metro stop and about 5 blocks from the Termini Station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a capuccino, crescent roll and orange juice. I just realized that this portion was just for arrival. Staff was available upon our arrival and they were very helpful. ... Please see #5 ... none ... see #5 ... Well located, far enough from main attractions to avoid crowds and noise, but conveniently located for easy access to all sites.

The rooms are all on the fourth floor of a building, only accessible by stairs. There's a small door leading up the stairs, which is not well marked. Luckily, they have a guy standing outside receiving guests. ... The room we stayed in (106 - a triple) was very clean. It was a bit small, but that was fine. The shower is extremely small. ... The hotel can arrange transportation to take you the airport. The guy at the hotel quoted one price, but the driver (Stefano) tried to cheat us out of 15 euros! Be careful. ... Small and clean. Overall, it was quite good.

This hotel is very central - a few minutes walk from the Termini station and only a short distance from some great sites. I would warn people that the rooms are on the 4th floor and there is no elevator - a lot of steps. We were however meet at the door and were helped up with our bags by staff who were lovely. ... The property was a little smaller than what you see on the web. The rooms were clean and everything worked - ie. showers, aircon, tv etc ... 'no elevator'. I'm not sure if this was stated on the website. It was fine for me and my friends but older people should not really stay here. ... small, polite staff, central location, good value.

We were coming from Milano and were planning on taking the train to Rome. Because of a series of mishaps, we had to rent a car and drive 600km in one night. Needless to say we arrived around one in the morning and were very pleasantly surprised to find the night attendant waiting for us on the side walk and helped us with our luggage. ... The hotel management is young, very pleasant and a lot more helpful than most of the people in Rome. ... We paid for our stay at check-in actually, and one of the managers took us to the airport for the same fare than the shuttle that, by the way also stops in front, which made it very convenient because otherwise we would have had to wait in the rain. ... The bus stop is a few steps away, the Metro is a 5 minute walk, which is worth mentioning considering that they're are very few Metro stations in Rome. ... Nazional rooms is definetly a 2 star accomodation as stated in the voucher. It is on the 4th floor with no elevators and the room is small, but it is very clean, the management very pleasant and helpful which we found out is rarely the case in Rome and very centrally located. We could walk almost anywhere otherwise the Metro is 5 minutes away and the bus stops right in front of it. I would not recommend it to elderly people, but for young and not so young couples just looking for a clean place to sleep without paying a fortune and not afraid of the 4 floor hike, this is the place for them. The sports bar at the bottom of the building is a great place to hang out at the end of the day for a night cap before you're ready for bed.
