Check-in was very smooth and the desk was helpful.

The room was nothing special but it was clean and had a comfortable bed. That is what we expected and that is what it was. We were there to experience the city and the room served it's function. The staff was fine too.

I think the location near the beautiful Santa Maria Maggiore church could be expressed. The short walk to the subway was also a plus.

we were treated extremely well - we were early and so the hotel kept our baggage and brought it to our room before we returned the room was lovely - nicer than we anticipated for the price we paid

The Hotel Montreal and staff made our stay in Rome perfect. We had stayed in the Hotel 14 Years ago so this was a trip down memory lane. It has been refurbished in that time and we would recommend it to anyone. Say hello to Derek for us, thanks again to him and his staff for making our stay a memorable one. A wonderful Hotel. Very Central to all amenities, very short walking distance to the train station.
No communications problems with staff, always very helpful and friendly.Good sized room, cleaned and tidied everyday to an excellent standard, pretty good breakfast.

Very informative receptionist. He even gave us a very good guidebook on Rome, and assisted us to our room.

Room was very large for Rome standards, Double glazing ensured good sleep. Very clean, very nice bathroom. Hotel in all very clean and nice. Only tiny negative was the sour attitude of breakfast staff and the quality of Breakfast that could be improved.

You could mention that rooms are large for Rome standards (we had room 126, which perhaps is larger than other rooms - I don't know)

A very cetral place if arriving/departing by train - and with easy access to anything in Rome. Also quiet, nice and inexpensive for the standard.

The hotel staff is very friendly. Mr. Derik was always very polite and helpful as the others employees.

The hotel is very good. Close enough to visit all Rome attractions walking. The room was large with everything we need for a great stay. If you go as a couple, you can can take a nice bath to relax in the end of the day. If I can give a number, it's surely 10!

We happened to book at a time when there was an offer in place. The full price for the rooms is a bit steep, but that is to be expected in a major city.

As the hotel is within walking distance of the main railway terminal, there are a few unsavoury characters around but we had no problems with them.
Don't get a taxi from the Termini station - it's only a ten minute walk as opposed to a 25 Euro fare!

The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staf very polite and friendly. Be prepared to go out on an evening as there are no real facilities for staying in.

The room was spotless and the maid service excellent. We even slept in one morning and were not disturbed. All of the staff were very helpful at all hours of the day and night. They gave us great suggestions on bus and train routes and advised us on some safety issues. The breakfast was good as well - served promptly and in a very pleasant breakfast room.

Your description and list of services are good. Our room was a bit smaller than I hoped for for 130 euro a night, but it was very adequate.

The location, near the train station but not too near, and right in the middle of a thriving neighborhood, was excellent for my purposes. Close to excellent attractions(SM Maggiore, Museo Nationale etc) and lots of cafes, a good supermarket, etc. The single room was small but, as noted above, reasonable. The bathroom was as advertised, renovated and very serviceable if on the small side. I would describe it as a fine place for a person who wanted a good place to sleep, but I wouldn't have wanted to spend a rainy afternoon in my room, for instance. Also, if I hadn't had a room with a truly splendid view of Piazza SM Maggiore, I would be feeling much less positive about having stayed there. Were I to return, I would specify such a view or would probably look elsewhere. The manager(perhaps owner?) Derek was on the whole very helpful and added considerably to the experience; the weekend staff was fine but not on a par with Derek.

I cannot recommend the breakfast as it was a rather bleak affair: stale bread rolls, prepacked cheese in very small units and when asking for coffee you would one day get a pitcher of coffee and the next day a cup of espresso

We found the Hotel staff extremely helpful and very pleasent to deal with. They gave us lots of invaluable tips about Rome...from which Bus tour to take to complete directions to Restaurants, site and Museums.
We would recommend the Hotel Montreal to our friends.

Bedroom was fine, apart from limited storage space - probably because it is a short-stay hotel. Cleaning, fresh bed linen, towels etc all very good. The en-suite facility was too small - hardly room to squeeze between units. Would have been better without the bidet. Plug missing from basin. Also no shelf for toilet bags etc and no clothes hook/peg.
Tne Continental breakfast was the most minimal I have come across in a 3-star hotel

Fairly expensive due to its very good central position. Facilities good, apart from the poor breakfast and the small en-suite. Staff very pleasant and helpful. I would probably recommend it as it is so convenient.

The staff was friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our stay in Rome in general, but the property can be up-graded with few small things.
The property was good, not complaint about it, but it can be better equipped compared to the website.
The website sais that the tapestry is elegant and romatic, which is not the case, it is modern and cleanable but not romantic at all.
There is no minibar in the room only an empty fridge.
There was no glass for drinking only plastic cups, which is not so confortable.
The TV was too small and put-up to the top of the cupboard, so hardly enjoyable. The TV controller was in a bad condition.
There was only one big towel per person, but no small towel for hand/face washing.
For breakfast only one fresh roll was served per person, all the other stuff was bisquits and prepacked croissant. The orange juice was so artificial. The breakfast needs improvement.

The property where we stayed is situated in a good place, close to the underground, bus station and also close to the high historical attraction.
It is OK for staying in Rome if you want to go for sight-seeing, clean enoungh, but a bit noisy, not elegant but good for value.

I booked a sinle but none was available the day I arrived. The hotel put in a double and then moved me into a singele the next day. I liked the single better than the double room.

I was asked when I was moved to my single room if I wanted a quiet room or a view. I asked for a quiet room. The room was quiet except that I could hear doors closing from other rooms. There was no outside noise.

I had to check out at 3am so the staff let me check out before I went to sleep. This proved to be very helpful.

Hot water is not very hot. When I took a shower I only turned on the hot water.

Room was clean and the staff was friendly. Hot water is not very hot - only used hot water, didn't turn on the cold water, when taking a shower. I think the price is a to high but that is due to the currency conversion. Metro stop is very close to the hotel and the train station is a five minute walk from the hotel.

the room was very, very loud (day and night),
there were only some italy spoken and two english spoken TV-channels but no german spoken TV-channel,
the breakfastroom was not like the picture at the homepage and the range of food was very poor
