The Hotel offered Airport Transfers, and we were met at the airport promptly, and considering it was Midnight, the driver was very friendly and extremely polite. ... The Hotel was excellent in every way, very clean & comfortable. The staff are to be complemented on their ability and effort to help, we were treated more as family than just guests, and left having made some good friends. ... Again the staff were very helfull with our checkout, and although we were charged for extras, such as the Bar Bill, and Transfers, the prices charged were very reasonable. ... You will need to get a ride from the hotel shuttle. It will be too hard to find on your own. ... The shower was too small. But the hospitality and hotel atmosphere more than made up for this shortfall.

Drive to Frascati and then take a cab to the hotel for $18.00 to save the wasted time and gas trying to find the place. This place can't be found on your own if you are unfamiliar with the area. We searched for three hours and had to stay somewhere else for the first night. ... The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The place is peaceful.

a beautiful hotel in a very pretty setting. We were met at airport on time and made to fel like the staff had been so looking forward to meeting us. ... The breakfast provided was more than we have come to expect fom the description 'continental breakfast'. The fresh fruits, yogurts, meat and eggs were a wecome bonus to start the day. Everything was spotlessly clean and staff were available without being intrusive. ... The free shuttle provided by the hotel into Rome was most helpful. ... The quiet location and the beautiful gardens to relax in were a lovely surprise. ... I have and will continue to recommend this hotel to anyone flying into ciampino airport, especially their shuttle service and the beutiful, peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.

Beautiful location. Very convenient for getting into Rome by public transport (train from Frascati). Staff very friendly. ... Delightful - if you want to go to Rome by car, DON'T stay in the city, stay here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maria Luigia and would recommend it to anyone else. We would suggest two things: 1) Taking the subway into Rome is a really bad idea and the staff should discourage people from doing it. The hotel provides free parking at the last station, but it is difficult to get back from the parking area and the subway is hot and dirty. Take the train from Frascati!! 2) It would be a good idea to provide a map and better directions for restaurants and parking in Frascati. ... It was a good place to stay because there were plenty of foreign guests, which allowed us to talk with them and learn things when we wanted, but there were also some Italian staff who didn't really speak English, so we could practice our Italian, too. Even if they couldn't speak English, they were nice.

Upon arriving, we expected a hotel shuttle to arrive at the train station at regular intervals, as it said there was a free shuttle to and from the train station. However, there were only four times a day that the shuttle ran free, without special requests that you had to pay for, which would have been nice to know about beforehand. ... Definately include the specifics of their shuttle schedule- unless you're driving yourself, you're at their mercy as far as getting into Frascati and Rome. ... It was a great chance to see more of Italy that I would not have had the chance to, had I stayed in the city itself. Plus, it was MUCH cooler in Frascati compared to Rome!

We paid for the hotels shuttle to collect us from the airport ... we only stayed for 1 night so were not in the hotel more than 9 hours ... no problems was quick and easy ... The room we had was very small we could only just get our cases in it ... very clean and friendly and the staff will help you any way they can.

Is only 30 minutes from Frascati train station to Rome Central. There is also a free shuttle bus the hotel offers from the hotel to the train station every hour or so in the morning and nights. Plus the train is not expensive. The hotel is a fantastic option to stay as opposed to the hustle and bustle of Rome. ... A welcome relief at the end of a long day sightseeing in Rome.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and welcoming ... The setting of the hotel is gorgeous, the family who run the place are helpful, friendly and very efficient. The hotel shuttle to and from frascati train station is excellent allowing easy access to Rome via train. ... Again staff wonderful, came to see us off, felt like one of the family after our stay, though staff do not intrude. ... Air conditioning is via fan on ceiling, not that effective. ... A lovely setting for a hotel, with excellent gardens and sun terrace. Family run with friendly open congenial atmosphere. breakfast is excellent easy access to Rome via hotel shuttle. Set in beautiful town of frascati which enjoys a buzzing night life, lots of restaurants and bars.

When we arrived, the room we had reserved smelled of mold and showed obvious signs of water damage. We were given an upgraded room, at an appropriate upgraded price. ... The Hotel was as described, although further from Rome and Frascati than anticipated. Instead of 2 Km from Frascati, it was a full 5-6 km from Frascati, necessitating use of the hotel van. Costs involved in the transport back and forth could have been clearer. In one instance, the van was full for the morning trip to town, so they had to run a later van, which missed the train connection to Rome. This resulted in us getting to Rome about 75 minutes later than desired. ... The hosts were most gracious and although their knowledge of English was less than what would make for good communication, they were certainly friendly. The last night of our stay was a world cup soccer match, for which the hosts hosted a wonderful party for the game that included free food and drink. What a wonderful conclusion to our stay in Italy. ... A nice room, in a nice hotel, with gracious hosts that was a bit further from town and Rome than implied, but it was quiet and far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of Rome.

On arrival we were given the train times to central Rome. We arrived on a Saturday evening so were going into Rome on the Sunday. However, they did not inform us that the timetable was only relevant Monday - Saturday and a different timetable ran on a Sunday (which was not given to us). The outcome was that we missed the last train back from Rome and had a very stressful time trying to sort out the best way to get back to Frascati. When we finally returned to the hotel I explained what happened to the receptionist who did not take too kindly to me complaining and told me I should of checked the times before I went. I informed her that I should have been told the timetable was different on a sunday and this should be stated on the information given out. She apologised but I dont think she took this on board.
Please make sure this information is correct when given to customers this caused us a lot of stress and messing around at the train station when this could have easily been avoided. ... Very nice, clean and friendly. Very good breakfast.

I never did see a public bus! There is a wonderful shuttle that they willingly provide. If it were made clear how one might have it waiting for you at the train, it would have been so much nicer. Even the taxi driver didn't know where it was! ... It is a wonderful place in a terrific setting. We loved this oasis from Rome and, as long as you made the shuttle, getting abck and forth was a breeze! ... Yes...a phone number. We wanted to contact to verify and that wasn't possible. ... Spectacular views, wonderful breakfast, comfortable accomaodations. No air conditioning which got a bit uncomfortable but not too bad.

We had to ring the hotel and request they meet us in Frascati and guide us to the hotel. ... We had 2 glasses which we had personally purchased and used at various places we stayed. After we had left the hotel we realised they must have been removed from our room, possibly in the belief that they belonged to the hotel as they were similar to those provided at breakfast.
... A pleasant and quiet place to stay a little way out of Frascati. It has a nice family feel about it, more B&B than hotel.

Not all of the front desk staff spoke english, they were all very polite but it was hard to ask for help/advise when the engligh speaking staff weren't around. ... The map could be improved considerably. We wasted 15 minutes because we missed the last turn. Easy to do with the very vague and abstract map on the web. It wouldn't hurt to have a sign at every entrance to the road. Or a clear map that corresponds to the actual road layout. ... The garden is a pleasant, relaxing place to sit in, and the views from the balcony and windows are beautiful. However, those with small shildren should take note of the fact that the small road running past the hotel seems to be a practising course for local amateur race car drivers. Don't let your kids wander there unattended. ... The breakfast was at 7am according to the website. due to an early flight, we checked this and found out it was actually at 7.30 am. The reception was kind enough to arrange the breakfast at the earlier time, though. ... A pleasant, relaxed place with friendly service and pretty views.

No ... A nice, quite family run hotel set in the Frascati countryside. Frascati town which was about 10 minutes away, was lively and had a lot of bars and resturants. Rome was reached by bus and train and took about 45 minutes. You must carefully plan your trip to Rome via the hotel shuttle etc as missing a connection can put a hour or two on the journey.
