| You will fall in love with Trastevere neighbourhood, as it is really traditional and the "most Roman" of all districts: it is known as a bohemian location and features buildings in terracotta and maize. Among the must-sees of Trastevere, do not miss the Santa Maria in Trastevere church, built in the 3rd century and the oldest in Rome. It has some wonderful mosaics by Pietro Cavallini and an octagonal fountain. The main square in Trastevere is Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere: this pedestrian area is full of restaurants, bars and "palazzis". In the immediate surroundings of the inn, Il Gianicolo is a hill from which you will obtain the best snapshots of your vacation: it overlooks the city, with a panoramic view you will never forget. |
