Everyone of the staff were helpful upon arrival and extremely supportive throughout my stay. Everyone from the gracious and highly competent Mr. Joseph to each person at reception could not have been more helpful. This hotel and their staff get my ***** out of ***** in my rating system. Thank you for arranging this most pleasurable accommodation. ... Hotel Imperiale was perfectly located to everything. With that as my homebase, I was able to appreciate all that Rome had to offer and return each night to comfy accommodations (with much-needed jaccuzzi)and a most welcoming and accommodating staff.

I haved stayed at this property twice before. Rooms are very clean and well appointed. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Sleeping area was a little small, but not as small as some 'single' accomodations. ... Good value, many very nice rooms. Very clean, quiet and well appointed. Good value for the money. Location on Lower Via Venneto is outstanding.

This was the first stay in Rome for my daughter and my second (previously visited 30 years ago). We arrived by Metro at 11.00 am and were delighted to be allowed into our room immediately. We had unpacked, freshened up and were out on our first sight-seeing adventure by 11.30 a.m. which we felt was wonderful. ... Although our room was not enormous, it was fine for our purposes, which was somewhere to stay while we explored the city. The air conditioning was available throughout the day and night if needed - which we did through the night as the temperatures were approaching the 40's! ... A first class hotel in a wonderfully central part of the city. We walked to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps in the evening for our meal and did not feel in any way at risk. My daughter and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central base at an excellent price.

The room was a bit smaller then expected, but OK ... As a nice hotel, in a central position of Rome, where you can walk to everything.

We were given a room (according to the personnel `a standard double`) that would have been a fairly good single room. The bed was far too narrow for 2 persons and there was hardly any space in the room for two suitcases. If this is the standard, than the standard is not what I expect from a 4 star hotel for such a price. We complained the next day, and were given a good room then, but unfortunately, our impresion of the hotel had already been damaged... ... You can tell that the hotel used to be something, some time ago. What is left now, is a very high price, old fashioned lobby/bar, and arrogant personnel. The location of the hotel is great, but does definitely not make up for the price. We have seen better hotels on great locations in the center of Rome for a better price. ... ok ... glory of a by-gone era

The host at the desk was charming, and helpful. He had a sense of humor as well, and gave clear directions to the places we wanted to go. ... It is a lovely hotel that I would recommend to friends. ... We had to leave very early in the morning to make our return flight. The desk clerk had ordered a car for us, and the driver was waiting for us when we checked out. It was handled with efficiency and pleasance. ... Nothing to add or subtract. ... Spacious room, great bathroom. The spa tub was a plus after a long day of walking. Beds were extremely comfortable. The room was also pleasing to the eye. The staff was charming and helpful, and offered appropriate arrangements for areas we wanted to visit, as well as our need to check out very early in the morning.

Althougt the receptionist was very polite and he was apologized for the inconveniece caused, I believe that it was unacceptable not to have a room althougt that during the reservation no problem accured. ... The receptionist was most helpful to us. Our room was ready, although we arrived early. We were permitted access to our room upon arrival. We also had to return a car rental. The receptionist was able to provide precise directions for the car return (and in Rome, this is very challenging). ... We have stayed @ Hotel Imperiale several times in recent years. The hotel has undergone some upgrading - in the way of painting and decorating. Always, our rooms have been very clean. The staff is most polite, helpful and courteous. The hotel is in an excellent location, to meet our needs. For all of these reasons, we will continue to return to Hotel Imperiale. ... I would highly recommend it. It is clean, centrally located with a helpful and kind staff.

It was my parents that stayed in the hotel - they were delighted with it. Close to everywhere and staff very helpful. The first room they got was a lovely roome with balconies as I had requested - they asked to be moved as it was overlooking the street and very noisy. The were moved without any bother. ... Very pleased, would stay there again when visiting Rome. Staff asisted us in finding other accommoation when we decided to stay in Rome one more night. ... The only thing I would like to comment about and this is not a critisism of the hotel but the hotel ordered our taxi for the airport at an agreed rate of 47 euros and he charged us 60 euros. I think your hotel should be made aware of this. ... Very comfortable

The room was spacious and very nice. We did get noise from Via Veneto even with the electric metal blinds down. Did not really iterfere with sleeping, however we were on the fourth floor. I would not have wanted anything any lower than that! As I noted on previous reviews from other guests the air conditioner never quite got the room as cool as we would have liked. We set it to a temperature and the air conditioner stayed on constantly without getting to desired temperature. It was not uncomfortably hot and we were able to sleep. I just would have liked it a bit cooler. Most of the employees were fine except the one gentleman behind the desk who was very abrupt and not always the most helpful. The Imperiale was 70-140 Euros cheaper than the other three hotels we stayed in in Italy. That made it quite a bargain even with the minor inconveiences!

The front desk clerk was exceptionally helpful. I asked for a room on the upper floors, as I was told that they were more quiet. She immediately upgraded me to the best room in the hotel (#512). It was an amazing room! ... Most of the front desk staff was very good. There was one staff member who was a bit snipy, but other than that they were very cordial and helpful.
Our room was awesome. The only complaint was that our bath tub had a tendency to leak. We notified the maintenance staff upon our departure. ... Great location. Perfect for accessing every part of Rome. Great access to the subway. Would recommend to a friend. ... Definitely ask for a room on the upper floors as they are more quiet.
The hotel is only a few blocks from the Villa Borghese- a wonderful park. Everyone that stays at the hotel should take a stroll through it, if not every day! ... Very good value, excellent location, clean, professional.

It was Easter week a and we needed a triple so considering all that .. it was a good value and GREAT location. ... A positive would be that it is right off the metro line.. which we discovered by mistake coming back from Vatican City and that was helpful. The negative was the route the front desk gave us to walk to our dinner. It was not a direct route and we got lost forever. The map at the front was not the best. ... A great location with nice accomodations and good baths.

We got a room with a view to a messy backyard and complained about it. Also, we got the impression from the internet that all rooms have a jacuzzi but this one did not have. I complained immediately about the view and after an hour we got a room with a view to via veneto. Tjis room also had the jacuzzi and was bigger. We were pleased with this room. ... The bathroom floor got very wet after using the jacuzzi, and it was impossible to dry the floor. Also, I think that the internet pages presented the hotel as more luxurious that it actually was. The hotel was OK, but not luxurious. ... The perseon at the reception tried to charge us more money than was stated in the voucher but we noted about it and eventually paid the right amount. ... Only some rooms have view to via veneto and only some rooms have the jacuzzi. ... The hotel was nice and 'old-fashioned'. A bit too far from the historical centre. Metro station was close, breakfast OK but not exeptional. Athmosphere was cosy and we enjoyed our stay. Don't trust totally the impression at the internet.

Receptionist was rather disinterested. ... The room was small. The 'garden' was filled with building materials, even though we could see no ongoing building work. The bar was never open. Overall the hotel was disappointing and not worth 4 stars. Very poor value for money. ... No bar. No garden. No restaurant inside hotel - only in gazebo outside and even this was all in darkness by 10.30 pm. ... I would say it was not a good choice of hotel, although the location was good.

Front desk was not very helpful. ... The roon was very small, hardly no storage space. the bathroon was barely big enough for one person. no amenities such as an iron, internet access, western connection outlets, etc. location was great but our roon was not very good.
front desk service was terrible, we felt like we were bothering them everytime we asked for something, most of them had a bad attitude. they need a concierge in the place. ... There was a taxi cab strike the day we checked out and nowhere in the hotel did they tell us about it, we needed extra time to get to the airport but nobody in the hotel bothered to say anything. Just before we left and asked for a taxi they told us to take the metro and then the train. needless to say this was a terrible experience. ... Bad customer service, the people working there do not go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and make you welcome. we visited Germany before getting to Rome and the hotel service was night and day with Germany being so much better. ... would not recommend

I had reqested a car to pick us up at the airport. We waited 40 minutes and the car did not arrive, so we took a taxi. Upon arrival at the hotel the receptionist was not happy that we did not wait for the car or call the hotel. She then called the driver and he said he was at the airport. This is not true as all the drivers were located in one area and no one had my name sign. Again, we waited 40 minutes. ... all is positive ... A perfect hotel w/a great location, especially for the first visit to Rome.
