It was not made clear when I booked this accommodation that it was an apartment in a block of residential flats and that therefore there was no official reception as such. On arrival we needed to phone the 'owner' so he could come and let us in, which is what eventually we were able to do, but it would have been nice if this had been made clear to us in the first place.

I thought the facilities were excellent considering the price. The room itself and it's facilities were mostly what I would describe as basic but functional, perfectly adequate for our needs but not luxurious. I was surprised to find the room had a TV and internet connection which given the price was an added bonus. The only potential problem I could see is that the walls between us and the adjoining room were pretty thin which could be a problem if those guests happened to be noisy - which fortunately in our case they weren't.

The check out process was straight forward - we were simply asked to leave our keys in the apartment before we left. I'm not sure that's a great way of doing things from the company's point of view (I don't see what they could do if somebody forgot to leave the keys behind, accidentally or otherwise!) but from the customer's point of view it was ideal.

I think most of it was covered, although I don't think it's quite as close to the centre as the website makes out. The impression you get from the website is that you could walk to the centre, which in theory you could but in practice not many people would want to. However, it is only a short walk to the nearest metro station and from there it's only a couple of stops to the heart of (some) of the tourist attractions.

I would describe it as good honest budget accommodation in a reasonable location. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of luxury but I certainly would to anybody who was going to see the sights and basically only spend a minimum amount of time in their accommodation.

Did not expect the address to be in a block of flats, but it did explain the confusing address.

Security was a little strange. Shared entrance lead to uneasy feeling although individual rooms could be locked, and a wall safe was available.

Helpful. Allowed bags to be stored on final day of checkout.

Spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning is a great asset.

You could mention that station Ostiense is closer to the appartment is than station Garbatella.

The owners of the apartment were really friendly and helpful, and the apartment was in great condition. it's a nice area and the metro is only a short walk away. there's a supermarket close by and a great fresh food market just across the street. we had a very pleasant stay and have already booked to go back again!

Because this was an apartment there was not receptionist, but the manager of the property met us and was extremley helpfu. We had a hard time finding the location because the directions were only in words from specific locations and we didn't arrive from those points. It would have been helpful to have a map of the location.

The kitchen was sparsely equipped with cooking utensils, pots and pans, but on the other hand it had a dishwasher.
The property was very clean and well kept.

There was no check out. We arranged everything with the property manager when he initally met us.

I phoned the owner from england to inform him our flight was delayed by 2 hours. He did not understand as I cannot speak Italian, and so was not there to meet us. However, he arrived after 15 minutes when I phoned him on arrival. The block was dark, there was no reception, and this did not install confidence in our accommodation! Owner was very helpful on arrival though, explaining where the metro was etc.

The above questions are irrelevant. There were NO staff. Just the owner, who we did not see after he had handed us our keys. The apartment was lovely, but we had trouble with getting hot water for all the showers. Also, the apartment block was quite noisy, with dogs barking a lot.

The owner let us keep our bags in the aprtment until we left for our flight in the afternoon, which was kind.

I informed the owner that a friend on mine would be arriving several hours before me. My friend found the hotel to be closed and called the owner who replied he could not let my friend in before I arrived. This resulted in my friend having to wait 4 hours. Also, the owner was unaware that I had ordered a room with twin beds. He changed the double beds into twin beds though after we informed him of this. The owner told us we had to pay cash because he did not have a credit card machine in the hotel. When we came in we clearly saw such a machine however. for te route description : you should add approx. distances.

actually, there was no staff. The owner let us in upon arrival after I called him. We had to pay up front. After that there was no staff.

there is no one there. If you do not have the owner's phone number you simply cannot get in.
Lift did not work.

Nice rooms, good value, with good internet acces, very friendly owner. Make sutre you have his phone number on arrival though and carry cash.
