The taxi driver that we chose to drive us from the airport to the Hotel Valle should not be allowed to operate in Rome.

We love Rome and the Hotel Valle allowed us the freedom to explore while being able to return to the quiet sanctuary of a clean and homely atmosphere We would recomend it to anyone

We arrived at approximately 9.00 am after flying from New Zealand. We had been flying for 26 hours so we were very tired. The reception area is very small and it was also breakfast time for the hotel guests so the reception area seemed very busy.
We were asked to put our bags in the area at the back of the breakfast area and asked to return to the hotel at 2 pm. Our voucher did say that the room would be available at 1 pm so we were surprised at being asked to return at 2 pm.

When requesting a room we had specified that we wanted a room in a quiet part of the hotel. When checking in we were offered a room on Via Cavour which is a very busy street so this room was not going to be in the quiet part of the hotel that we had requested.
We were given the keys and asked to go and look at another room but we were told it was a small room. We were also told that the hotel was full.
On our return to reception (we were going to accept the smaller room) the receptionist had managed to find us a larger room in a quiet part of the hotel so we were very happy.

Check out went very smoothly.

Our greeting upon arrival was great, we immediately were given suggestion and directions to a excellent resturant and tips about the Metro.

The Hotel was excellent I would stay there again and I would recommend it to friends and family. The staff and location were wonderful. Many Thanks to Hotel Valle Staff!

1. Hotel was not at all as luxurious as the photos had led me to believe.
2. Faulty stopper in washbasin in bathroom was reported twice during first 24 hours. It was never attended to. We dcided to manage without a stopper.
3. Breakfast was a big disappointment. it was barely adequate.
