The only problem we encountered was the shower. The temperature went from scalding to freezing in the course of a few seconds. The towels were very thin like many people said in their review, but I thought they meant that the towels were worn. Actually, it was just the design of the towel and they worked just fine. ... Shower temperature varied wildly! Be careful to not get burned. ... Great location. Close enough to the Termini to be convenient, yet far enough away to miss the less favorable element. Wonderful restaurant across the street. Very quiet and peaceful. Friendly staff. Great value for the money.

The attendant was very helpful. He helped us to book a tour for the next day that worked out very well. ... The room and facilities were better then or the same as I expected. It was unclear what was included in the breakfast. I would have liked more then pastry and juice. Fruit, meat, or cheese would be nice. ... We had to leave very early in teh morning. the attendant helped me to arrange transportation which was on time. Everything was as expected. ... More detals about the breakfast. It would be helpful to know more about the location and facilities around the area (resturants, sites, etc) ... Nice hotel, helpful staff, convienient to the train station and the Collosuem area. A longer trip to the Vatican and other sites. The nicer resurants are further away. A fair price for a good qality accomodation.

Receptionist was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Shared a joke rather than being 'businesslike'. ... Our room often felt cold, although this only became aproblem in the middle of the night. Breakfast was disappointing, even by 'continental' standards. A couple of dull rolls and croissants with honey is simply inadequate. Cooked meats, cheeses, etc, are usual and would have been acceptable. ... As always - very helpful and accomodating. They looked after our luggage for the whole day prior to our evening flight home. ... Very convenient location. A couple of good restaurants in the same small street. ... All staff were friendly, welcoming and pleasant. Perfect location for seeing the sites of Rome. The only downside was the poor breakfast. All staff spoke good English. We would undoubtedly stay there again.

we were greated immediatly the receptionist was very helpful and friendly. ... although a little small the rooms they were very clean, the lack of space was not a concern to us as we used it only as a place to sleep had we ewanted to spend more time in our room this possibly could have been an issue. ... We had our bags looked after through out the day and the reception ordered a taxi to the airport. ... there is no kettle in the rooms to provide a refreshing drink on your return from a busy day site seeing. Although the Hotel does provide refreshements in the lobby up to 11 pm ... A great central point to stay when touring Rome, the staff are extremely friendly and accomadating, offering help and advice on where to go and how to get there. The rooms are basic but very clean and all you need, Rome is not a place to sit still, there is far to much to do. The breakfast is substancial enough to get you through the morning.

Very noisy room on the street. Bathroom below quality expected. Exact same meagre breakfast everyday. ... Tell people that if rooms away from the street are not available, go somewhere else. ... Good location. Very noisy on the street. Exact same breakfast every day.Much less room for the money than you would get in North America.

Everything went quite well. We used our map and a compass to find the hotel. ... The only thing might be that the hotel is presently renovating rooms on the upper floors and so there is some noise from that. Noise does not bother us, but it might some people. ... A reasonably-priced, comfortable hotel in a very good location on a quiet street. We walked to every sight we wanted to see except the Vatican, to which we took the bus.
Our room overlooked a terrace that was not particularly picturesque at this time of year (December), but was still cozy and quaint. There was a double bed and a small alcove with an extra single bed that gave us extra room.
We enjoyed several of the restaurants right on the same tiny street as the hotel.

we were very pleased to be put at our ease immediatly especially as we were two ladies travelling alone. ... we were very satisfied with our stay at the hotel. the one comment which we would like to mention is regarding the breakfast, the limited cereal that was provided conflicted with the way the table was set and the bowl and milk to use with the cereal did not seem to be readily available. ... checking out was carried out promptly and the request of a car to take us to the airport was arranged exactly on time. ... not that i can think of. ... friendly, clean and central to many of the tourist attractions.

We misunderstood the receptionist at one point and did not get the type of bed on our reservation, but that was quickly rectified and we did get what we had booked.
... The room was a little smaller than we thought it might be, but overall the facilities were as we expected. ... No problem, everything was as expected. ... I don't remember them stating that there was a lounge available in the hotel. ... It is a very good location for seeing the sights, initially the street as you arrive at the hotel is a little intimidating because it is somewhat narrow and dark. The neighborhood is a little noisy at night with 2 bars on the street, but the windows can be closed and the air conditioning used. We needed a room in Rome again on our last night in Italy, 2 weeks after our initial stay and had no problem rebooking with Hotel Tirenno. The staff was even more friendly when we returned, we also had a bigger room the second time around.

Italian hotels are not cheap in comparison with a number of other countries hence answer to Q13 ... N/A ... Standard 3 star hotel in a city centre. Quiet location. Considering it's in Rome, reasonable value for money. OK for a weekend visit.

The room was great; very spacious and clean. The staff wasn't rude, but wasn't warm or overly-friendly either. The biggest complaint is that there are NO directions from the metro, and the hotel is hardly walking distance from the Spanish steps. It is a good mile or two. Misleading. ... See above.

My first impression of Hotel Tirreno was good.Massimo the concierge on duty during my stay was particularly helpful and charming.i asked for a single room to the back of property. While very clean with an excellent bathroom, my window faced a neighbouring apartment block in which i unfortunately had the displeasure of hearing the various activities of daily life.Showering, cooking,tv and the most unpleasnt of all-the use of the toilet! Also the hotel rooms are not adequately soundproofed so was able to hear people coughing in the next room among other things! Bring earplugs!! Apart from that, you are so tired after all sightseeing that you fall into bed most nights. Breakfast was fine if you don't have a big appetite and the waiting staff were pleasant. Loaction wise-hotel is definitely further than the 300m as stated on their Site.Overall i think Hotel Tirreno is grossly overpriced and its only redeeming factor is its cleanliness and its friendly & efficient staff.
