The convenience of the location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and the lovely breakfast they serve make Hotel Serena a wonderful choice. I have stayed there several times and will return.

We found a very kind receptionist when arrived and immediately he showed us the room. ... Everything was unhopeful! The rooms and the corridor were smelling so nice that they attracted your attention at once. The staff was every day ready and willing to provide us with whatever we wanted/need. I won't forget the croissants in our breakfast, they were very tasty nad the variety was great. (Only the yoghurts should be kept in a cool place) . ... They were very willing to at the fist time to provide us with all information required for our return to the airport and they urged us to deposit our baggage in a small room until our departure. No more money even for two bottles of water we took from mini-bar!!(I hope not to ask for them now!!) ... The only negative is that they did'n change the sheets during this four-day stay. BUT the the room was TOTALLY clean, every day! 24- hour HOT WATER every day should be added to your description to the website. ... We-I and my friends- have already strongly recommended to our friends to visit Rome and stay to HOTEL SERENA without second thought. They helped us very much with maps, taxis, instructions, directions everything!Mr Marco, the receptionist was very polite, gentle and happy person! My regards to him..

Myself and my father Garry were met, greeted and welcomed by a male member of the hotel staff ( alas i dont have his name ), he was most helpful and polite. He provided us with maps and directions to some of the places we may wish to visit. A VERY PLEASANT ARRIVAL ... In my opinion, excellent stay ... Different staff, but equally pleasant and effecient ... First class, at a reasonable price

The first time (last year) we stayed in Hotel Serena, we had problems when paying with master card (we had to pay cash). Paying with Visa card seems to work (according to staff). This time we payed cash. ... The room no. 208 was a little bit small. And so was the double bed in this room (1,40 X 2,00 m, only). ... 1) The rooms are very clean. 2)Breakfast is better than normal Italian breakfast (buffet with baps ham and cheese, jam, orange and pineapple juice, coffee and cappuccino. Disadvantage: The breakfast never changes. It is the same every day. 3) Hotel is centrally located (on foot, 2 min away from stazione Termini). 4) I would always return to Hotel Serena. The hotel is very good and the price per night is very small!

No. ... Hotel Serena is a very charming Hotel located near Termini, which is very practical both at arrival and departure. The staff is friendly and helpfull and the rooms are neat and clean but not very large. There are bigger rooms in the hotel though. I think Hotel Serena gave us good value for our money and I will recomend it to friends and family.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Serena we were however dissapointed that the air conditioning system did not work. Consequently our room became uncomfortably hot. ... Hotel Serena is in a fantastic position and is reasonable value for the cost. The manager Marko is very friendly and helpful but the aircon does not work and the lift is old and not simple to use.

Everything was as promised. Location was rather seedy, but it turned out not to be a problem. Andrea was very helpful. English was spoken by all staff. ... Don't ask for restaurant suggestions, one turned out to be worse then the other.Worst Italian food of our 3 week trip. If I could remember the names I'd let you know. ... Very helpful. Needed to leave at 5:15 a m to catch plane. Train not availabe at early hour. They made arrangements for car (mercedes)to pick us up. and Andrea was there to help us with luggage...at 5:00 in the a m !! ... location was really not a handicap, other than the area surrounding the Termini was rather tacky. Everything you want to see and eveywhere you want to go are easilly reached by public and private transportation. ... Exactly, as above. two more things...The 'lift' had to be at least 100 years old, and worked fine and our room was tiny (but we managed).

Book a transfer in advance! We had to pay 65 Euros for a trip to town which cost 28 on our return. ... Excellent hotel. A very good 3 star bordering on 4 star property. Extremely central. ... Go there.

The offered us to leave the luggage there until our train left, and that was for free!! ... No, everything I know about the hotel was on the website. ... Really good hotel, I spected a hostel and I received a 3 stars hotel!! I really recommend it!

There was some confusion over the amount of time we were staying in Rome. We only wanted 1 night as we were traveling the next day to the south. The Hotel was very accomodating & it was not a problem. ... The Hotel staff were extremely nice and the accomodations very good.

It was a little disconcerting. The receptionist just said the hotel was full and we were sent to another one. A man came with us to direct us to the Hotel Palladium on the next street.
Hotel Palladium is reviewed in the following survey ... All these notes apply to the Palladium!! ... All these notes apply to the Palladium!! ... All these notes apply to the Palladium!! ... All these notes apply to the Palladium!!
Very well positioned near the Terminii. Aircon was brilliant, the weekend we were there temperatures were 38C outside! We were cool!

Checking in was a swift and easy process. ... It is a lovely hotel. Although near a main road it is pretty quiet. the staff were frendly and were helpful whenever we had enquiries. ... Checking out was a simple process. We had to check out by 11.30. We paid upon checkout. ... It is a lovely hotel and it is value for money. It is very close to Termini station and therefore is very central. A gret location, a great price, a great hotel. I would go back.

Room was extremely small, but very clean and well decorated. ... The neighboorhood was not very nice. One that has never been to Rome should know this. ... Very friendly and helpful staff. Not run by Italians. Single room was very clean and well decorated, but tiny. Big beautiful bathroom. Once inside the hotel, felt very safe, but the immediately surrounding neighboorhood is not the nicest. Very conviently located to Termini train station, and too the Colusseum. Very good value. I was quite happy overall.

After traveling by train and a short walk from Termini Statzione, we suddenly had the calm, clean solice of our room at Hotel Serena. ... There were three of us and we were unable to take advantage of the spacious bathroom and its amenities. It appeared to be spectacular and very clean! Our schedule was extremely tight and we needed to leave right after the earliest breakfast time! ... Unfortunately we needed a place to stay in Rome on the Friday before Easter. The prices were inflated during that time and we knew by looking at the prices posted in the room that they usually aren't that expensive. That's supply and demand! ... see above comment ... Very nice!

There was a slight error in the directions, I think it said turn left and it should have been right, but otherwise everything was fine. ... The room was compact but adequate and kept clean. However the bathroom fan was noisy and the shower drain appeared blocked and smelled. It appears from other hotels we stayed in Italy that smelly drtains are the norm. ... Average quality hotel with a good location near the rail station and friendly English speaking staff.

It was the middle of the night and we got lost using the directions ... the handles on the doors were all a bit dodgy and one of the beds had loose slats, when anyone sat on it they dropped down but the room was very clean and tidy ... The rooms are up lots of stairs

The dates stated on this survey were the first time I stayed at Hotel Serena. I enjoyed the stay so much that I came back for a couple more nights before I left Italy. When I checked out at that time, the morning staff was not able to help my roommate and I split the bill and the politeness had disappeared. ... Within walking distance to all major attractions and train station. Very well kept and the staff was very polite (except that one morning incident). For the most part, I would recommend a friend to stay there.
