In fact I thought that the web site had polished things a bit up. But really we got more than we expected. ... Inside the facility there is 2 lovely terrasses (gardens) with lemontrees where you can sit quiet an enjoy your morningcoffee. ... A wonderful place to stay. The staff was 100 percent dedicated to service their guest. I can't remember a more perfect stay.

Warm and welcoming. ... It was exactly what I had expected from the photos on the site. ... It's the perfect location to reach any place in Rome. ... Quaint, sweet, and very Italian! The staff was warm and welcoming, and the accomodations were perfect.

WELCOME YOUR GUESTS WITH A LITTLE DRINK. THEY ARE COMING FROM A LONG JOURNEY. ... TEH STAFF AT BREAKFAST COULD BE MORE FRIENDLY. THE BREAD WAS NOT FRESH; MORE CHOICE OF SORTS OF BREAD PLEASE.

The rooms were larger than I expected, and very clean. There was very good sound proofing on the window. The only problem was the room became very warm even with the air on high, and we could not keep the window open due to the noise and exhaustpollution. The bar was a disappointment, it consisted of the restaurant manager stopping his task to make us a drink to take back to our room. ... The location, ie walking distance to most sights, was much better than I expected. ... Very good location, good price, lousy air conditioners.

The staff provided a substitue room at the last minute when my daughter opted to stay with us in Rome for one night before returning home. The upgraded price was only 20 Euros more and the room was very large although the bath was a little tight. The only problem with the arrival at the hotel was the steep stairway that one must climb to the lobby from the street. Once at the lobby level the place is fully accessable. The staff was very helpful with our bags. ... We left at 7 AM and the bill wasn't quite ready. The staff handled it expediously and we got right out on time for our airport transportation. ... No. ... Very nice staff. Good location. Clean spacious room. Very reasonable price. Would stay there again.

I would describe it as a wonderful experience, within a budget. The hotel allows you the opportunity to stay in a palace for little money. But, you sacrifice all of the service that one would expect in a hotel of that caliber. The breakfast was almost insulting, and the service throughout the hotel was impossible to find.

I think the rooms were nicer than showed on the website. And the hotel was very quiet and the beds were perfect.
The breakfast could have been better - to much food in plasticbags on a large table - the bread and rolls very hard and not very tasty. Why not serrve breakfast outside in the beautiful courtyard with a little breakfast basket for everyone? ... A very nice, friendly hotel - spacious rooms and bathrooms. Quiet and in a nice neighbourhood. I would recommend it to people who are going to Rome.

Requested a room with bath tub. Changed room on our second night. ... Our first room was very small. Second was much more acceptable, with bath tub & extra space. ... An oasis in a busy city. Charming courtyard & outside space. Lovely to see flowers in March. Peaceful, calm atmosphere. Great location, walking distance from Termini station. Good position to explore Rome. Menu in restaurant would have been helpful with some English.

You are located 200 yards from the train, bus, metro Termini. Within walking distance from the Coliseum. The rooms are very clean and nice. The only warning is the long stairway at the main entrance, but just leave you bags at the bottom and a bell boy will carry your bags up for you. ... This hotel made our trip, we even sent a box of chocolates to say thank you, which we have never done before. ... This is the best value in Rome! You are located 200 yards from the train, bus, metro Termini. Within walking distance from the Coliseum. The staff was the best we have encountered on any of or vacations! The rooms are very clean and nice

Room was very spacious with bath tub,and baby cot as requested. Decor was very elegant room was very welcoming and comfortable. The room was a little noisy, but very clean and had tiles which is very hygenic. We enjoyed our stay very much all the staff were extremely friendly and professional. The restaurant staff for breakfast were very helpful and friendly we enjoyed having access to a full breakfast buffet , including bacon and eggs, cold hams, cheeses, all sorts of breads, cakes, danishes, cereals, fruit etc. Best of all being able to order what ever coffee we liked ( which was included @ no extra charge.) Two beautiful courtyards to have breakfast or a coffee in. Offers a great restaurant by night with latin dancing and different events. Also had a great seating room with newspapers, books etc the property has alot of different rooms and areas so you are not stuck in your room all the time. Overall a great property we were pleasantly surprised. Thank you for a great website, enabling us to book our hotel so quickly and easily. ... Stairs to reception, was not good due to having an 18 month old toddler in a pram had to carry her up stairs by ourselves most of the time the second last day a man (manager or owner) advised there was an elevator ( for inhouse use ) that we could use to the street level. Lloyd returned and buzzed the buzzer no one answered so he had to carry pram up stairs by him self. The website should advise stairs to reception (for disabled, elderly and parents/babies )and when checking in we should have been advised about the elevator, we were told that the only way in and out of the hotel was via stairs. ... Overall a great hotel in a central location with very friendly and helpful staff close to main train station with easy access to all of rome.

IT WAS DIFFICULT TO FIND FROM TERMINI STATION AND IS NOT A FEW STEPS AWAY BUT A 10 MINUTE WALK ... It is a delightful and charming Hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend it. I did have a problem finding it but the staff were helpful and polite.
I would definately go there again on my next trip to Rome. ... Staff were very helpful even though i had to check out very early in the morning. ... There is a lovely Restaurant in the Hotel that I did not know about until my arrival ... Charming and very italian, a real haven of peace and quiet in the Middle of Rome.

I wasn't aware that smoking rooms were not availible, but not sure that I did look specifically for that feature, not a big issue. ... Did have to wait 30 minutes to check out as there was only one person on staff at the desk (about 9:30 am). ... Large flight of stairs from street to reception, didn't appear to be quick help with baggage to manage the climb, but I belive that assistance would be possible. I would also include the proximity to an internet service, as a computer was not available at the hotel. A few other hotels I stayed at in Italy and Spain did have a computer for the customers access to email and travel plans. ... Clean, secure, good breakfast, good value for a property near the train station, allow alot of time for checkout.

You might include a commentthat the lobby is one flight up from the street level and there is no lift. Heavy bags can be a problem. Fortunately, they had a bellman to assis, but if he was not available it would be quite a struggle. ... Very helpful in ordering a car to the airport. Much better than a taxi. Very pleasant way to leave Rome. ... Pricey for the modest room, but excellent location and helpful staff.

Although the hotel is no at all far from the station, it was quite tough to carry heavy luggage on the cobble-stone street. If you go 'up' to the station with luggage, I recommend taking a taxi. ... The shower space was very small. It was ok for me who is rather compact, but I wonder how everyboby else use it. ... There were two male staff when we were ckecking out. None of them help us to carry our luggage to the door. Please note there is steep stairs down to the door from the front desk . ... As stated above.

Unfortunately one of our rooms (overlooking Via Liberiana) was quite noisy one night from excessive noise from one of the nearby bars. ... We thought the breakfasts (included in the room cost) could be improved with the addition of fresh food and 'real' cheese (not processed). ... Good location, close to the train station but within walking distance of major sites. Clean, well kept with helpful staff at the front desk that spoke English and French well. Computer with internet available for guest use. Spacious lounge, courtyard and breakfast room.

The reeceptionis who was there to greet us on our arrival was very polite and helpful with regard as to where to find a restuarant suitable to our needs at nightime. However not mentioned to us in any literature was the fact that there are many steps to climb before reaching the receptionist was unexpected and we had difficulty carrying two cases into the hotel. ... Le Cappellette di San Luigi is unusual in that it was once a house of study and there is still a chapel in the hotel, it was very quiet and all functions seemed to be of a private naure, therefore there was little opportunity to get meet other residents except at breakfast. I would not consider it a typical hotel where people call to dine or meet for a friendly drink or socialise with other holidaymakers. One important comment with regard to breakfasts, breakfasts were poorly prepared and again it seemed to be difficult to know who to ask for service if required, tea making facilities were very poor and there was only one small flask for hot water, bread was stale each morning and there was very little fresh fruit on offer, to sum up it was a very poor quality breakfast, although staff were at all time polite but distant. ... There were no problems with checking out. ... As already stated this was not a typical hotel and as a guest one could feel very isolated as there was very little activity except for private functions where one did not feel they could intrude or use the facilities such as bar, restuarant etc. ... I would say that the hotel was nice, clean, unusual, good staff, however I would probably advise them to rent an apartment, as breakfasts were very poor and the only extras on offer was that the bed was made up each day and a toilet role and fresh towels provided.

The service-staff in the restaurant (breakfirst)- quite in contrast to the other persons - is not very polite and helpful: it takes quite a time for examble to get just some bred in case of finishing at the buffet, cheese and other food was often finished long before the ending of the breakfirst-time - no chance to get just one little piece (answer: it is finished); the table-sets are looking dirty and unclean. So: The staff in the restaurant could do a lot with just a little more engagement! The other persons in the hotel are very, very polite and helpful. ... If the hotel get up with the service and the staff in the restaurant I would concern the hotel to friends.
