The staff knew exactly who we were as we arrived at the reception and were very polite, friendly and helpful.
...
Our room and en-suite were clean and certainly more spacious than a different hotel we'd stayed in a few years before (that hotel cost more money too!). Although our wardrobe was certainly big enough and had a shelf above the hanging area we could have used some drawer space for some of our clothes.

They don't have a safe in the bedroom to lock valuables in.

They don't have the facility for you to obtain food or drink if you return late from a day trip.

Hotel Kent is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful especially with regard to getting around, using transport - taxi's, buses, the metro, excursions etc, banks, post offices, recommending places to eat ( 5 minutes up the road from the hotel is the Montecarlo Restaurant, the menu is in several languages, the Italian food and wine are great and at very reasonable prices, the staff were warm and friendly and we ate there several times). It was recommended to us by the hotel. We did try another restaurant on another nearby street that appeared a little more upmarket but the food wasn't as nice and they tried to charge us for two desserts when my husband hadn't had one.
Our main aim was to see as much of Rome as possible and we were able to walk to a lot of places from the hotel - Borghese Gardens is not far away and is a brilliant place to go. We do like walking though and you need to go at a slower pace than in the UK depending on how hot it is. Our stay in the hotel was going to be limited to sleeping, showering, having breakfast and possibly having a rest during the afternoon so we didn't see the need for spending a lot of money being in a 5 star hotel. Hotel Kent fitted the bill for us and we'd go back there. The last hotel we stayed in before this was on a road just off Via Veneto, the room and en-suite were tiny and the 'friendly/helpful staff' weren't and it cost us a lot more to stay there hence we didn't go back.

Book the hotel, it was excellent value for money, near to public services and just a short bus ride to the main areas. Absolutely no complaints.

One extremely helpful receptonist named Mustafa who could not do enough for us, he was very helpful. However we could not say the same for them all.

Good accomodation but too far from the main attractions in Rome City. You had to get buses and taxis all the time to go anywhere which was expensive. The centre was too far to walk to.

The photographs on the website gave the impression that the bar area and rooms were larger. Nevertheless thanks to Mustapha we had a great stay.
