Our stay at the Hotel Genio could not have been better. We were delighted with the room and the staff was most courteous and helpful. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

When staying so close to the center of Rome you have to make some concessions with the accomodations - This Hotel is rated 4 star and I,having travelled and stayed in Europe in 20 different countries, I would give this Hotel 4 stars for location and 3 for accomodations.

If you are going stay over 1 week, we stayed 2 weeks - at the one week mark - we had to request to have our sheets changed. Otherwise the staff took good care of our room. The breakfast buffet was always fresh and with enough variety to satisfy everyone.

I would tell a friend that if you want to stay in a clean, friendly and most important centrally located Hotel - to be able to walk minutes to Piazza Navona & the Pantheon as well as many other sites - this is the Hotel to stay in. The street noise was, at times,
a little annoying - we just closed the window and turned on the air. We would stay at the Hotel Genio again.

Good tourist accommodation at a reasonable price and in a great location for sightseeing Rome. You can walk everywhere from hotel.

I had emailed the hotel ahead of time to ask them to please have a double bed for us since the trip was our honeymoon. I also asked if there was an accommodation for extra luggage since was husband had extra bags due to an extended stay in Iraq. I never received an answer.

I was disappointed because the room they first showed us to had twin beds when I made it clear in an email that I wanted to make sure we had a double bed. The next room they showed us was had a double bed, but the room barely accommodated our luggage because it was small. The bathrooms were nice and they did give a room that connected to the roof garden where the view is 360 of Rome. That was a really nice feature. The location was also very very good. It was close to all of the sights we wanted to see.

We booked three rooms at the same time, 1 room was good , the 2nd room was ok, and the 3rd room was unsatisfactory. The bathroom in the 3rd room smelled of sewer gas , there was mold growing in and around the shower. In addition the air conditioning was not working the 1st 2 nights of our stay. We asked if we could change from the unsatisfactory room but were told that we could not. In general, the public areas were in need of tidying and cleaning.

In general our stay at The Genio was ok. I would recommend the hotel because of its location only....the location was fabulous. The staff in general was efficient but rather unfriendly.

they did not provide the requests i specified in email. I had to ask twice for these requests when we arrived in the hotel

The only factor that resulted in the Hotel being worse than on the website was the quality of the Air Conditioning unit. In the Bar and Reception area it was extremely efficient, yet in the room it was almost non-existent. This made for an ncomfortable experience in what was other than this a very nice little hotel with excellent staff.
