The hotel had the driver waiting for me at the airport. Even though my bags were missing and I spent some time getting claim service processed, when I finally exited the secure area the driver was there waiting.

This is the second time I have stayed at this property. As always it proved to be a little gem. Not overly expensive, close to everything and above all quiet and private.

Checkout was prompt and friendly. The hotel had the taxi waiting for me as promised.

The breakfast is one of the best meals of the day.
The only sounds you here at night is the church bell ringing out the hours and quarter hours.

The room was as I expected in terms of facilities, size and bathroom but I would add that the decoration probably needs to be freshened up e.g. new carpet, wallpaper etc.

Great location, only minutes from Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Good Hotel with all the facilities you need. Only drawback is the hotel is right in the heart of the tourist area, and as such, the price of food and drink can be expensive. Be wary of stopping for a glass of beer when you are close to sites such as the Trevi Fountain.

It is well situated and in a quiet aerea. The breakfast wasn't as nice as we thougt. Morever we had problems in finding the hotel. There is a lack of signposts.

The Hotel De Petris is perfectly located in central Rome, only 5 mins walk from the Trevi fountain area. The staff are polite and helpful. The hotel is clean and the rooms are a good standard. The price is very reasonable for the hotel standard and location. The hotel is in a quaint street. Staying here enhanced my overall visit to the beautiful city of Rome.

Front desk was very nice and helpful, showed
us to our room which was beautiful and helped
us with a map around Rome. They we're great,
would go again!

There was no air conditioning, but there was a
nice cool breeze. There was a woman screaming
from 2am - 5am, good thing we had to get up at
4am to catch a flight. It was not someone at
the hotel, they were in the building behind
us.

the one on reception upon arrival was too aloof and not very helpful. when we asked if it was possible to have a coffee or tea whilst awaiting our room he just replied 'no' !. other staff were very different.

it is a well run hotel but would be improved by a change of towels daily and in this day and age I would consider being able to make your own hot drink in the room a must.

The car we had arranged through the hotel wasn't at the airport to meet us so we had to take a taxi and there was no explanation from the receptionist other than 'oh you're here'!

The staff was always polite and would respond to specific requests. However they were not very forthcoming with information about neighborhood sights or restaurants, ie. offering a some recommendations of nearby spots which we would have appreciated.

My husband and I got a very comfortable, quiet roomy double with a tiny balcony overlooking an interior courtyard for 5 nights, while my brother had a tiny stuffy single that was over the street and noisy, so he would have preferred paying for the double room for more air circulation and quiet. All the rooms were simply but nicely decorated and clean.

We loved the convenience of the location and would stay there again but specify the quiet rooms. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, a wider assortment of dishes compared to other places.

The location is superb in that it is 5-10 mins walk from the Trevi fountain, 5-10 mins from the Spanish Steps and next to Barberini underground station.
The hotel is good but in my view over priced. You are definetely paying for the location as the rooms are slightly small but nevertheless pretty & clean.
The minibar is slightly understocked... water, beer & coke not being particularly tempting. The balcony was slightly strange as it opened onto a nice courtyard but the hallway looked upon us. There was no phone in the room.
The lift is a bit of a nightmare being the old fashioned gate & double door style and is also shared with 2 other residences on the same site.
The staff depending on who is on shift are either very friendly and helpful or slightly nonchalant.
I would reccomend the hotel primarily due to the great location not necessarily down to facilities or attractiveness.

Overall, De Petris was a decent hotel. Very good room and bathroom size for Italy. The property looked a little nicer on the web than in person, but it was still good accomodations. The staff wasn't exceptionally friendly but not rude either and made good dinner recommendations for us. One thing, if you are travelling in the heat of summer the air conditioning is not the best, but we didn't expect it to be as powerful as the air conditioning we are used to so just writing this as a note to others.

just a comment about the lift, it is quite tiny and could be an issue for 'physically challenged' people.

Lovely Room, air conditioning was great to have in the room, given it was 34degrees when we visited Rome. We also enjoyed the breakfasts which had great variety of food to suit all tastes and friendly helpful staff. I will definately be back.

The Hotel was perfect, though the elevator did not work 2 days (we had our room on the last floor), the breakfast-room was under construction. This would have been reasons for a price reduction.

The hotel is in general good, location and so on, but the front desk people should take a course on how to greet and smile to the clients, they all seemed that they drink vinegar for breakfast, the res of the staff at breakfast lounge and house keeping were very good , but the reception people seemed to be very unhappy people.
