Hotel Degli Aranci is a liberty villa dating from the early part of the Twentieth Century. It is located in the elegant and lush residential area of Parioli northeast of the Villa Borghese and only minutes away by taxi from most of the major tourist attractions in Rome. The European-style hotel is set on a secluded street lined with oak and orange trees.
The staff of the Hotel degli Aranci consider their guests part of their family and make every effort to create a home-away-from-home for them. Italians and other Europeans stay at the Hotel degli Aranci so that you do not feel like you are just another anonymous tourist in a large impersonal hotel. Instead, you feel like you really are in Italy! |
The Liberty style hotel lies over a section of the Catacombs of Santa Priscilla. Until some years ago it was possible to access them from inside the building. The hotel has four floors and is surrounded by an open terrace where one can dine in the warm Roman evenings. There are 56 rooms in the hotel, each of which is provided with a private bath, TV and refrigerator. |
The rooms are quiet and modern with balconies and parquet floors. Included with the room is a generous buffet-style breakfast (coffee, bread, sweet rolls, cereals, meats and cheeses, and jams). And, the hotel restaurant has an a la'carte menu and is available 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. From May until mid-September, dinner is served on the terrace amidst the orange trees in a very pleasant atmosphere (weather permitting, of course). There are two conference areas offered to hotel guests for both private business meetings as well as for congresses. And the gurgling fountain in the courtyard transports one into the past. |
Within walking distance of the hotel, are shopping areas and excellent restaurants (from elegant and expensive to simple and economical), as well as parks and neighborhood areas where you can take pleasant strolls and get a feel for what the everyday life of Romans is really like. The staff will help you get information about tours, transportation, or even how to make ticket reservations for museums or other events.
Via Veneto, Villa Borghese, the Museum of Modern Art, the National Etruscan Museum and the Olympic Stadium are all within close driving distance. |
