My only concern about the Hotel and I failed to mention this to the staff is that I notices the fire doors on the fourth floor and the ground floor are permanently wedged open , in one case by a substantial plant pot and the other by a wooden wedge. This must by against your fire regulations and should be addressed.

The rooms were o.k. There was much noise from the street so we shut the window. The airco did not work so we didn't sleep very wel for 4 nights!

The arrival was very pleasant. We were met at the airport and transfered to the hotel within a very short time.

Although the property was not as I thought from viewing the web, it was a very adorable room, smaller and not quite as modern as I thought, it was very European and we enjoyed it for that reason. I was very disappointed that the terrace garden was closed... we had so looked forward to the view and dinner.

Great location, wonderful breakfast, quaint, friendly, fair price, very European and exciting for first time travelers to the area. I would go back with no hesitation.

For those with a car, this hotel is great. A little out of the most crowded areas, but just a quick trip to the downtown. The managers couldn't have been nicer, the room was great, and the air conditioning was COLD -- unlike all the other hotels in Italy!

There was some confusion on checking-in as there seemed to have been three separate bookings for me at three different rates; I showed my voucher and all was sorted out very quickly.

1. The room was a bit noisy because of the traffic; we had to keep our window closed at night although we both like fresh air! We appreciate, however, that Rome is a busy city with terrible traffic!
2. The housemaids were a bit miserly with stocking up the handwashing gel, shampoo etc. Also they left things like icebuckets with water in the room and did not always wash the drinking glasses. I think they need someone to have a quiet word with them
3. We could only use the Jacuzzi bath once as the plug jammed! Then it was 'fixed' and became very loose so the bath could not be filled. We could not be bothered reporting it again so we left it. This was disappointing.
4. Woukd be nice if the boiled eggs at breakfast could be served warm rather than ice-cold.
2. The bar-lady went out of her way to be very helpful to us.

instead of saying that the Hotel is a block or two away from the Vatican, say that it's only a couple of minutes away; it was much closer than we thought. Also say that the Metro stop is very close by.

We were supposed to get a double bed but instead got two single beds pushed together. By the third day they didn't try and disguise the fact by having one cover but had two separate beds made up and pushed together. The first night there was no staff to serve in the bar. The pictures on the website are totally misleading. The jacuzzi tubs shown are not the one which was in our bathroom. In those respects I felt cheated and disappointed because this was uspposed to be a very romantic trip!

The receptionst on departure on the Sunday was brilliant. He didn't mention the cost of the flowers and wine in my bill that I had secretly asked for on arrival whilst my girlfriend was there. 10 out of 10 for absolute dicretion!

we booked a superior double bedroom, however the state of the room was not superior. It was ok (clean) but still, the hotel does not deserve a 4 * rating.

We would recommend this hotel. It was clean, the breakfast was excellent, the staff friendly, close to the Vatican and not too far from the historic center. We walked everywhere. The rooftop restaurant was closed but they recommended good alternatives. The tour they recommended was terrible so beware of those.

Great value!
They even pick you up at the airport!
Location was key for us and we found it easy to get to the Vatican and other major attractions from this location.
P.S. the jacuzzi in the bathroom was great on the feet after a full day of walking.

I found it difficult to use Travlers Checks,
even the Hotel gave us a herd time exchanging them.
I would recommend you add a section on this issue or recommend that travelers use the atms to get out local cash.

The whirlpool tub didn't work, and the room was rather dark. The Satellite TV was only pay-per-view, not a regular service as I had believed.

The property was closely reflected on the web site, with only the room being slightly smaller than expected and not quite as lavish as the pitcture depicted. Not a lot of difference though.

We arrange to be picked up but there was not any one there when we arrived. I rang the hotle and they said take a cab and we will reimburse you (which they did). Maybe this could be included on the website so that non italian speaking guests do not find it so daunting not to be picked up when expected. It was not a big problem but just alittle bit of a hassle after a very long flight from Australia.

I would recommend the hotel as it was clean, in a good location and breakfast was good. Served the best coffee we had in all of the places we stayed.

The hotel does not do pickups any more from Rome Ciampino, but was willing to collect us since we had booked a few months ago. The driver was late (I suppose this is rather normal in Southern Italy).

The property was probably a bit less good in reality, but it was ok. The jaccuzzi tub did not work, but we did not mention it since we did not require it. The room was smaller than I expected but it was fine everything considered. The staff had problems managing the breakfast sessions, additional help would have made it run smoother.

we agreed a 'superior triple room' and got a double with an extra bed allowing no space to move around.
We complained and were moved to a triple room after one night. The hotel also reduced the cost of the first night.
our complaint was sorted out but we were disappointed that we had to complain and it took some time of discussion for the hotel to admit we did not have the right room.

Service during breakfast was not good. Only two servants, we have to wait sometimes 10 minutes for a coffee and the breakfast buffet was never (not depending on the time) full. There was always someting missing. Breakfast time was till 10, at 9:30 we ask for some eggs and breakfast meat. The servant told us that it is sold out. For 200 Euro per night we expected that we could have a full breakfast at 9:30

The night before the checkout we told the staff at reception that we would like to have a taxi for 6:30! When we arrived that morning no taxi was called. They called a taxi at 6:30 and we had to wait until 6:50 til it was there!

The room we were given was very dark and dreary to the point where we actually went back to reception and asked to switch rooms. The room we were then given was much lighter, the fabric on the wall a nicer color etc. I would advice to ask for a courtyard room as these seemed to be of better quality and decor. Everything seemed a bit 3-star to us, though, I think the hotel would also benefit from some refurbishment and a bigger breakfast room.

Value for money -absolutely- as one of the cheapest rates in Rome, convenient to get around the City and good location for the Vatican. Not for utterly romantic weekends or for those who love to have room service.

person from atlante was not there to pick us up when we arrived so we had to wait 30 mins
one group got a triple room and the other got a double romm with extra bed - really not what we paid for. 3 of us had to spend the night in what was a double romm and it was very cramped - not impressed at all with this aspect.

also the breakfast was etter at the star - weren't told if we wanted a cooked breakfast we should go there!
also dscribed as 5 blocks from the pantheon - wouldnt agree wit this - much further than this! Feel mislead about the distance to the pantheon and spagna area - much further than the hotel tried to make out
