| | | Situated on the Esquiline Hill, the Hotel Marcantonio is a budget Rome hotel that is only a 5-minute walk from Termini Station, Rome's most important rail and bus terminus. The hotel is within easy walking distance of many famous attractions, such as the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Teatro dell'Opera opera house, as well as a few metro stops away from the Colosseum, the Roman and Imperial Forums, and the Spanish Steps. In short, it boasts a seriously good location.
Refurbished in October 2008, the Hotel Marcantonio is located on the 5th floor of a 19th century building, which has a lift to the relief of all those who do not like climbing lots of stairs. It is ideal for a reasonably cheap Rome city break or holiday visiting all of Rome's major sights.
The hotel staff are very friendly and are on hand 24 hours a day to give you advice about getting around Rome. They can also organise airport transfers and book museum tickets or guided tours. Most importantly for all of those with a laptop, the hotel has a free wireless internet hotspot in the lobby.
A continental breakfast is served in the room between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
