Even though we arrived early morning 1.30 and the owner had to get out of bed to lets us in, he was very plesant and showed us straight to our room. ... I would recommend the Hotel Galli to my friends for it's friendlyness and location ... Couldn't be better we even left our bags there until we left Rome ... A very frindly and clean hotel that is idealy located for all the attractions of Rome. The aera can be a little intimidating at first but we found it very frendly after our first outing

Great location - right near the main station/metro and good places for breakfast/dinner close by - couldn't have been better. Would definitely stay there again. The female proprietor very warm and friendly and we had a few laughs with her.

no problem booking in and realy fast ... freedom of action without restrictions ... maybe an indication or comment, beside the map, about how to get to the hotel that is only two blocks away from the train station, and that you can get to the hotel walking instaid of paying for a taxi (that was what we did: 7 euros for two blocks howerer, I think that this could be fixed asking first someone for the hotel location isntead of taking a taxi (maybe my error) ... close to the train and the subway stations from where you can reach the whole city without paying too much

Only minor critic is you can hear if there is noise in the neighbor rooms. Except that the room was clean and satisfactory in all ways. ... Perfect as I am willing to pay for a central quiet location

The room was clean, spacious and we liked the balcony! We found the location perfect, very central situated. ... Price / quality range was very good. ... Value for money! I think if you are in a city (like Rome) you don't spend much time in your room. A clean, centrally situated hotel with a good bed and shower is all you need for that time.

I saw that it is a two star hotel and expected a dive, but it is very clean and nice. Marble floors, nice beds, clean, modern bathrooms-- much better than I expected. But it's very noisy in this little hotel, I was only able to sleep with the help of ear plugs. Great location! I would stay here again. It's expensive, but that's Rome I guess. ... Not good value for the money but that was the best I could find in Rome, seems like the hotels are very expensive there. ... Let people know that it's clean and nice and modern, I really did expect a 2 star dive. ... Perfect location, clean, nice room and bathroom, I would stay there again. But bring earplugs as it is LOUD there and hard to sleep without earplugs.

The hotel may not have been 5 star but it was spotless, i would have liked to bring the cleaner home! fresh towels each day, only criticism was that they were not fluffy. ... could include comment about closeness to bus station and a great restaurant. ... basic but comfortable and extremely clean. very central in that all places easily accessible because of proximity to bus station. there is a lift even if you are on top floor.

Make sure people know that the building attached to the hotel is a restaurant. Althought the weather was temperate, we paid for air conditioning so we could block the sound of clattering stoneware being washed until midnight. ... Very nice room, comfortable. Absolutely perfect location! 2 minutes from the Termini station--your direct link to everything!!! Bonus is an in-room safe and having your own bathroom facilities.

Excellent. Exceptionally clean. Staff exceptionally helpful. ... Very good value for money. I do not remember that the free room safe was mentioned on the web site. ... Small, very helpful, staff always on hand with a smile to let you in. Felt safe. Air conditioning worth paying for as retaurant smells / heat meant we had to keep the windows closed which also gave us a quiet room as street noise was blocked out.The location was perfect with many cheap but excellent little restaurants very close and Termini Station literally five minutes walk away.Hotel on second floor but with (small)modern lift

The owner was very nice and extremely helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay and even booked another night at the hotel at the end of our stay. ... It's very close to the bus/train station from which you can go anywhere in Rome. The owners are very friendly - English is tough for them, but they will work with you to understand what you are asking (we were there during the change from daylight savings time to standard, and had to ask if Italy made the same change).

Some pretty good restaurants surrounding the hotel that were very good and very inexpensive. ... Perfect location for our needs...close to train station.

Though we arrived in the early hours of the morning and got the receptionist out of bed, we weren't made to feel that this was a problem, and were relieved to find that most of the formalities were left until the following day. ... English-speaking receptionist was extremely helpful - gave us map, highlighted attractions, told us about how to get there, etc.
Don't know about breakfast as we didn't have any. ... Hotel allowed us to leave our bags at reception after checkout as flight wasn't until tea-time - very helpful. ... Very easy to get around Rome as near bus terminus as well as railway/metro station. ... Basic, cheap but clean accommodation with modern bathrooms, decent furnishings and friendly, helpful staff. In quiet side street near a number of restaurants, and near railway/metro and bus station - great location for seeing Rome's tourist attractions.

For breakfast you are given a voucher for a nearby cafe that you can redeem for a free coffee/capuchino etc and a sweet pastry of your choice. This was ideal and very enjoyable however, it would be useful to show where the cafe is located as although it's on the same street (actually just 40/50 metres from Hotel Galli), there are a few nearby between the Hotel and the cafe, therefore it was a bit difficult to find the correct one as it took us a few tries before we found it, after which, everything was fine. ... A very clean, small & friendly hotel right in the heart of Rome that's ideally located for all transport routes etc and an ideal 'base' from which to walk around and discover the best of Rome.

It is a convenient 5-room hotel, with just 5min walk from the Train station. It is clean, and the manager is very nice. The security if fairly good, with locked building front door, and another locked door on the 2nd floor. Room 205 has very small window and could be a bit noisy since it is on the street side. Room 203 at the other side is very nicer.

One of our rooms was quite small. It was sufficient, but not spacious. Everything was clean and there was plenty of hot water to shower. It was very close to Termini station so was very convenient for our stay. ... We were able to leave our luggage there during our last day, returning to collect it before walking the 3 mins to Termini station to catch the airport train. ... Not a great deal of English spoken by the hosts, but enough to get by. But they were friendly and dealt with us promptly and efficiently. ... The accomodation was very clean, but very small, and it had 1 double bed and 1 single I had aware i had ordered 3single. Also no breakfast as we had requested. The biggest problem was we felt bad if we stayed out a bit late as the owner was in bed and we had to knock him up, which was embarrasing for us.
... It was very central . ... We did'nt feel comfortable about asking for our bags to stay there as we had a wait for the flight, so put them into the station instead. ... A bit like staying in someone's house with not much freedom.

The lift to the hotel is very small (narrow) so anyone with very large luggage or indeed large people might have a problem ... The room was quite close to reception, and one night the front door bell was rung frequently meaning that this was not so quiet (but not a major problem!)
