We arranged for a car from the hotel to the airport. This was flawless, and we arrived at the hotel promptly and at a reasonable rate. The gentleman who greeted us upon arrival could not have done more to welcome us. Hooray for Favio.

My second visit to the Hotel Forte confirmed my first impression. The Hotel employees a staff that makes you stay a marvelous experience. Such small things as electrict adapters make a trip more enjoyable. The hotel, conveniently situated near a metro stop, provides the traveler marvelous accommodations on a very quiet, historic, and picturesque side street. Whenever I return to Rome, I shall stay in this hotel!

Feels like a family instead of just another hotel. The front desk man actually came to our rooms to bid us farewell as he was leaving the next day. Caludio was his name and he is to be commended on his performance.

I was pleased with the hotel location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the room we had seemed very small and Claustrophobic, some of the wallpaper was coming off the wall the bathroom seemed tiny and the toilet was squashed in the corner (not particularly comfortable to sit on). The shower was excellent in terms of lots of powerful hot water (just how I like it) however, there was no way of attaching it to the wall so applying soap while holding the shower head was interesting. Also the shower curtain wasn't up to much and as a result water would leak on to the floor and work its way in to the bedroom. I'd use a spare towel to mop up or stem the flow. Also, try and take the opportunity to get a copy of the hotel safety guidelines that are in each room. The English translation is wonderful to read although doesn't make much sense in parts. I wish I could remember some quotes from it. Made me laugh antway.
All in all I enjoyed my stay there despite my criticism of the room itself and the beds were very comfy which is always a bonus.

I asked for a triple room. This turned out to be a room with two twin beds placed next to each other and a portable cot. The beds were not at all comfortable, and the cot was really terrible. At the vey least I expected a single large bed ('Queen' size as we call it here, not two twins.

Very clean, quiet and private, but not spacious. The room was quite cramped with the addition of the cot that made the room a 'triple'.

Overall, the hotel is small, intimate and charming and in an excellent location. I would stay again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. There were building works across the road and when we asked to move rooms they were very obliging although the second room was inferior this was to be expected. Overall, a lovely stay in a well situated hotel.

Staff was asked to turn down lobby television at 2 a.m. as it could be heard in room. Some staff did not follow through on helping to make dinner reservations. Other staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good, and the woman providing the expresso was delightful.

We asked for 'pick-up' service, which was very helpful. The driver gave us a verbal historical view of Roma as we drove STRAIGHT to the hotel. No worries about where we were going or paying for with a taxi. Staff welcomed us warmly, as if waiting for us.

The protected alley-type location at the Spanish Steps was perfect for us. We walked every where we went...saw 21 of the top 24 sights! Breakfast was always nice and enough....loved having those eggs available. Forte bacame 'home' to us. Personel was gracious at all times.

Location is not stressed enough. Daytime tours are within reachable distance, even if walking. Proximity to American express office, and metro is most important. Forte is in the heart of night life, shoulder to shoulder. It makes for an easy and excellent end of the day.

I was very pleased with the room and public areas. They were clean and nicely decorated. The location was quiet and close to a taxi and the metro. Overall would definitely stay there again or at one of your other hotels. Also liked your website and the ability to pick from a number of hotels. Will recommend your service and the Hotel Forte.

Breakfast area was crowded and we usually had to wait for a table to open up. The server was too busy to provide Cappucino while waiting. Breakfast food was quite good once a table was available.

Charming, quiet, nicely decorated, has bar fridge, nice breakfast (although we had to wait for a table sometimes and the server was overwhelmed now and then). Great location right at the Spanish Steps with a taxi station and Metro stop.

This was the first accomodation we stayed at where the hotel reception did not have a separate entrance on the main floor of the building. Apparently this is quite common in Europe but it was a little surprising for us. It made the greeting seem a little low rent. We were very happy with this hotel once we got over our initial impression.

The room and bath room were a little smaller than they appeared on the web site but were adequate for the two of us. We have stayed in much smaller rooms in other large cities like New York.
This hotel is ideally located in Rome. Most of the major sites are within 30 minutes (or less) leisurely walk. Excellant restaurants nearby.
The included breakfast was good but the service was great.

Via Margutta is a small, low traffic street with several great restaurants. I would recommend Il Margutta Vegetariano which is vegetarian and Babette with a great court yard setting. We dined late (ie at 10 PM) like the Romans and we were never the last people to arrive or leave. This meant that we were dining with mostly Romans and we were not treated like tourists.

An absolute standout, though, was the 'Concierge' who took considerable extra effort and made a reservation at a fantastic restaurant overlooking all of Rome. It was our sixth wedding anniversary and he helped really make it special by treating us with unbelievable hospitality. He is a phenomenal asset to this hotel. When in Rome, I will stay at the Hotel Forte.

Although it was 200 euro per night, we were very pleased with the location. We are not acustomed to paying that much but if you want to be in Rome at the end of May and want to stay at the Spanish Steps (and probably anywhere else in Centro Storico), you pay for a nice hotel.

With the exception of the receptionist on duty at our arrival, the rest of the the staff was wonderful. They were extremely kind,polite and helpful. The woman who attended to the breakfast each morning was incredibly friendly and helped to make our stay a delight.

We did not stay at the main facility at the FOrte. We went there for breakfast. We stayed at the 'apartment' and it was dirty and because and noisy at night. I suggest they not offer the apartment and the hotel itself is lovely and great location and on a quiet street.

The hotel booked the taxi which was waiting for us at the airport - very good.
The rooms were not ready on our arrival and took 1 hour to finish prepaing.

The bathroom was very good. The main bedroom, however, could use better lighting. It would look less 'run-down' with better lighting.

The hotel looked lovely on the outside and was very conveniently located. Only problem was the room which didn't get any light and looked out onto some renovation going on at that time. And they forgot to make up our room on one of the days. But the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great for a weekend in Rome, very convenient, looks very cute from the outside, fabulous iron lift to take you up to your floor, rooms don't have a lovely roman view over cobbled street however they are clean and modern, bathrooms are small but again they are new and clean. The room doesn't really matter when you're in such a fabulous city, so long as it's clean and safe, there are no problems. The room was clean in safe and the only drawbacks were that it was dark and had no outlook.

Hotel Forte was a great location, clean and fine. Our major problem was the water. They constantly had problems with low water pressure and worse not hot water when I wanted to shower on two occassions. This I reported and staff was well aware of the problem and promised a plumber was on the way. Did you ever see the plumber? We didn't!

Fair value for the money due to the water issue. They should have taken some money off the bill as compensation for our inconvience.

The apartment was lovely however as stated in the voucher I was expecting a two bed room apartment, with a sofa bed in the sitting room as the apartment was able to sleep six. However the apartment really is only a one bed, with two beds in the sitting room.

The apartment was clean and warm when we arrived. The apartment was fully equipped with towels, iron, hair dyer, tv etc. There was also a compact kitchen which again was fully equipped. It is in a perfect location just off Pizza Novona, however this does make the apartment noisy at the weekend.
