We just loved Simona and her mother, and Tegan. This was jsut the best little spot, so clean and accommodating. We would highly recommend it to our friends. The Trastevere is very lively so it's not for everyone, but we jsut enjoyed it immensely and would go back again.

Villa Della Fonte is a great Rome find--very reasonably priced for Rome, wonderful staff, and the rooms are more than I expect from a hotel at this price. Trastevere is my favorite neighborhood to stay in in Rome-- abeautiful vibrant area easy walking distance to the historic center.

We found the staff extremely helpful. The
roof top patio was superb for sitting and
having a glass of wine and also eating
breakfast. The position of our room to the
patio was great, the room was clean.

We ordered a taxi which came on time.

It was a very small hotel, more a B & B. The
staff were very helpful (they even opened a
bottle of wine for us and provided glasses).
They kept the hotel spotlessly clean and
tidy. Breakfast was served outside which
was very nice as the weather was beautiful.

little expensive as a few months previous I
stayed in a B & B in Trastevere for a
fraction of the price, but on saying that we
have a very nice stay and couldn't fault
anything.

We were welcomed and met by very friendly staff the morning we arrived. Although we were a little early for check-in, staff arranged for our room to be ready as soon as possible, which we appreciated very much after a very long flight from Australia.

Excellent service, clean rooms, friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Villa della Fonte. On our next trip to Rome we plan on staying there again.

The location is more convenient than we first thought. There are excllent restaurants nearby, you can walk to most of the famous sites and a cab from the Spanish Steps back to the hotel is less than 10 Euros.

Wonderful place to stay -- small, cozy, quiet. Perefectly clean rooms and the staff is first rate. The hotel is one of the few bargains you'll find in Rome.

Excellent place to stay in Trastevere across the river from central Roma. Rooms clean and stylish, soundproofing excellent, so quiet and very comfortable for travellers. Breakfast on terazza was lovely way to start the day. Trastevere has wonderful cafes and restaurants and the Piazza Santa Maria is 10 paces from the front door....magical! highly recommended! we will stay there again.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, strongly recommended if staying in the Trastevere area, steps away to the Piazza but as quiet as can be considering all the activity that surrounds it.

We were dropped off by taxi across the square but it took some time to find the hotel, it would help if you told people it was in a street between two restaurants, since you could not see the chinese restaurant until you were in the right street.

The rooms were a little noisy but very well fitted out with original beams. Tea & coffee making facilities would have been appreciated. We had a choice of items for breakfast (including choices of coffee)which was beautifully presented in the roof garden and in our room when we were in a hurry.

Atmospheric building and area. Many original features in the rooms which are equipped to an excellent standard. Lots of restaurants nearby but also within easy walking distance of everywhere in Rome.

We arrived by taxi from the airport and were shown to our rooms on arrival. Very friendly staff and informative.

The guest bedrooms were particularly clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate and we thoroughly felt at home there. We will return to Rome and stay again at the Villa Della Fonte it was lovely.

We loved our stay in Villa Della Fonte. Our only concern, and the primary reason for us not returning, was the noise from outside and the room next door. We could hear when our neighbours used the shower and toilet, and also when people were talking to one another outside - no problem during the day but disturbing at night.

The lovely older lady who was preparing breakfasts gave us a lovely smile - one of our last as we left Italy which made for a beautiful way to be going.

Need better information on how to locate hotel, map was not clear to someone unfamiliar with Rome. Also transport links need a better description as our hotel could not be directly accessed by car due to pedestrian area, so taxis came to nearby square (not a problem but just unexpected).

The Grafitti on the building and on the street made the location look Scary... the loud late night tavern below and the all night noise from the square were not expected. Rooms are small and sparse by North American Standards but very clean and airy

Tegan was very helpful and went out of her way to help but not all staff speak English. Don't use Travelers Cheques there is a fee.

We found the staff to be very helpful during our stay. They arranged for transportation to the hotel from the airport (not free - but helpful) which worked very well.

Very happy with room, loved the patio garden where breakfast was served and I was able to sit and relax during the day.
Appreciated the air conditioning. The piazza was very noisy at night. The air conditioning allowed us to keep the windows closed which kept out the noise.

It was very nice that they took our breakfast order the night before and had everything ready in the morning. They even offered to bring breakfast to our room.
We also loved the slippers. We stayed at six different hotels during our European trip and no one else offered this luxury.

We got the bus from the airport to the main station and then took a local bus. The local bus decided to take a different route because of traffic and we were lost. It would have been helpful to have had slightly better instructions about the location of the hotel. But this is only a minor moan.

We loved the hotel and the environs. Only disappointment was that we five friends could not have breakfast together as there was no breakfast room and it was served in the bedrooms. In the summer we understand breakfast can be taken together on the roof garden. The receptionist picked up from the passport the fact that one of our party was celebrating a birthday. Unexpectedly they bought her a bouquet of flowers and a birthday card - very touching. Also, we started to use our platic tooth mugs for drinking wine but the next day proper wine glasses were put in our room. Christmas decorations were put up and little decorations put on our doors. It was little things like this that made the hotel so lovely. We would definately reccommend it and also stay there again ourselves.

The only problem we had was checking out early in order to catch our flight. We were too early for the breakfast delivery but the cost was deducted from our final balance.

The location or the hotel is perfect for touring all of the main attractions on foot- very easy walks. There are many, many nice restaurants very close to the hotel. In seven days we ate in a different restaurant nightly which were all excellent and within 150 yards of the hotel.

Beautiful. Quiet, quaint and a perfect location to call home during your Rome holiday. The Piazza of Santa Maria just around the corner from the hotel included a gelateria, pharmacy, three restaurants and bars along with a small market. It provided a wonderful spot to relax and taste the local flavor of Rome.

The receptionist, Tegan, was wonderful. She made us feel at home right away.

The location was ideal for seeing all of Rome. We were happy to be in a charming part of the City, right next to Santa Maria Church and Square. The entire staff was helpful and warm. There was a day when it rained and they offered us an umbrella.

The hotel is tucked away off a square, and the one way system is extremely frustrating. I would recommend that any of the hotel guests purchase a really good map of Rome if they are to find the hotel without difficulty.
