Excellent in all respects. The front desk managers were all superior, attend to all my requests above and beyond resonable expections. The Hotel is a GEM, like a private home with attentive help. It was more beautiful than the photos. I would be glad to give verbal recomendations.

This is a superior hotel. The staff was
world class and the accomodations were a
great value. The room was cool and
comfortable even though Rome was in the
grip of a heat wave. The concierege was
very helpful in assisting me with
reclaiming the luggage the airline lost.
I will recommend this hotel to anyone I
know who plans on visiting Rome either as
a tourist or on business.

We were grabbed by an illegal taxi driver as we came out of Termini and charged 50Es for the journey to the hotel. It would be helpful if you could say to avoid any but those with the proper signage or say how much the taxi journey should be.
Andrea was on reception and couldn't have been more welcoming.

We were delighted with our room. The one negative thing was that we wished there was more drawer space.
The room was very well soundproofed and the sheets were changed every other day and the towels every day.

It said on your site that there was sroof top garden where we could eat breakfast... It was not opne for breakfast. Its a nice hotel, but they seem to be trying to cut some corners to save some money.

I have rarely felt so personally cared for as I did by the staff at the Farnese. They almost seemed to be thinking ahead of me and making sure I enjoyed myself despite my very minimal Italian language skills. I commend most particularly each of the people who worked the front desk. An example? One day they made reservations at a local restaurant for my daughter and I. At the time I wasn't thinking that I would have a third person at dinner also. When I came down the stairs to the lobby and said 'I'm going to wait here for my daughter and her friend', the gentleman working (NOT the same who made the reservation that morning) said 'You will need another reservation. Let me call and arrange that for you. I will definitely go back the Farnese. The room was lovely, quiet and NOT the same as many American hotels, but excellent in it's own gracious way.

The Farnese arranged at car at the airport. The driver was prompt and kind. I was glad to see he was the same man who took me back the airport when I left Rome.

The breakfast was great. I'm always interested in something lowfat and very healthy and I was really pleased to see the hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit, cornflakes.
There was really something there for everyone.

We were particularly delighted with the beautiful terrace opening off our room where we could sit and relax, secluded from other rooms and surrounded by scented foliage. We had a lot of difficulty finding the hotel...we were within a few blocks and with help from locals we enlisted it still took a lot of frusterating time...but once there it was very nice...very helpful personel, accomadations were very nice and the breakfast a treat.

The hotel is situated on a very noisy street..Our room was facing the street and with the doors and windows closed we couldn't hear noise but once out the door of our room the hotel was often noisy and had the odor of exhaust funes.

the room was a bit on the small side. the bathroom was very spacious. the satellite tv signal was not very satisfactory.
we had to keep the windows shut at night as the traffic noise was very high.

a beautiful, well furnished, small hotel with a nice breakfast located between the vatican and the piazza popolo. most of the main sights are within walking distance. a metro station is just around the corner. hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. i can recommend the hotel and will use it again.

We took a taxi from the train station to the hotel. However, had we known, we could have taken the metro (subway) train to the hotel and saved several Euro (taxi = 18 Euro; subway 3 Euro).

It's within walking distance to major shopping and to the Vatican. Also, it's proximity to the subway makes it easy to take the subway to numerous other attractions (e.g. the colliseum, old Rome, etc.)

Our maps gave confusing information about location of Lepanto Metro. Indicated exit was on opposite side of road, so we were very disorientated when we came onto the street and set off in opposite direction from hotel, which with heavy luggage at the end of a long journey was rather frustrating. Could you supply clearer directions for future clients please?

Excellent accommodation. We stayed in a beautiful room with an ensuite and terrace - very spacious and comfortable. The staff were always very polite and friendly and recommended an excellent restaurant where we had a wonderful Valentine's Day meal. Very handy, easy walking distance from most of the main sights and museums.

We were late arriving and were being waited for.

Some of the rooms in this hotel are very noisy. However, after the first night, we asked for a change of room and the staff could not have been more helpful. They provided me with keys of three rooms to see in which we would prefer to move to. We ended up staying in a larger and quieter room, without extra charge.
The whole staff was delightful and very helpful.
The hotel is extremely well located, and easy of access as a metro line is virtually directly in front.

Lovely hotel, very well and tastifully furnished. Some lovely touches in the rooms, such as alcoves. Extremely convenient for accessing the Vatican, the City, and Ciampiano airport - (I don't know about the main airport as we did not use it). Very helpful and lovely staff. But ask for as quiet a room as possible. We would definitely go back if we could get again a room away from most of the traffic and tube noise.

'spacious'is not a term I would apply to most hotel rooms in Italy. In that sense, te size of my Farnese room -small, but adequate- came as no surprise. I would describe the room as clean, quiet, private, very well appointed, and smallish.
No air conditioning.

This comment applies to Italian hotels in general: the hotel advertising should disclose fully its air conditioning policy. Italy has been unseasonably hot in October. Yet, hotels advertised as offering air conditioning had their systems turned off on October 1st.

A good 15 minutes walk to the historic part of Rome.
We liked the fact that it was a quiet area and had different attractions to the obvious onesie the deli and shops onthe way to the Vatican city.

Nice hotel, located in an upscale area of Rome. Vatican and more northern located (f.e. piazza Navona) places at walking distance (15 min) and the metro station next door for visiting the classical Rome area (colloseum, etc.). Recommended.

The staff was very nice and helpful, especially Louis. Rooms are small--but this is Europe. The frames of the two twin beds comprising the 'king bed' were not tied together for the first night, and we ended up on the floor! However, they tied them after that, and it was much better. They need to get high speed internet access in the rooms. (They only have one high-speed internet point in a very small closet in the lobby.)

Our transportaion arrangements made by the hotel for us was on time and very professional.

The one thig we would have like to have available to us was e-mail access, when we arrive in a new place it is always nice to be able to e-mail family and let them know tha you have arrived safely. Finding an internet cafe was not easy as time was booked by tours along with not knowing the city very well. However the hotel was very helpful in helping us find one close by. It would be nice if they had a computer available for guests.

Very courteous staff -- lovely accommodations. Our plane was delayed into Rome, so our driver, who had met the flight we were scheduled on, was not at the airport when we arrived. However, one call to the Farnese & we were picked in less l5 minutes. They were most understanding.

Hotel Farnese was close to the Vatican, but maybe not as close as the website indicated. Walking is not a problem -- but allow 20 minutes.

Booking online can be tricky as a good photographer can make a hotel look nicer than it is. The Hotel Farnese was what I was hoping for. A small upscale hotel in a safe, convenient, and fairly quiet area.
