Receptionist was maybe 'newcomer' without many information. That was first but only one thing with I wasnt satisfied.

personnel were very helpful and business-like, it was re-assuring to find someone in charge at all times. the accommodation was good and the facilities nice and the place was quiet. We even had a balcony which we did not expect AND we were allowed to our room much earlier than the time allotted because no-one else was there. Altogether very helpful. Breakfast was rudimentary but perfectly satisfactory. The hotel was near the railway station where we arrived and departed but also within walking distance of all the places we wanted to see.

We had a problem with our shower, but they solved in a couple of days.

Cheap and pretty clean, if you want to stay for a few days in Rome and you don't want (or can't) to spend a lot of money, this is a good place.

Nice place, especially compared to the previous hotel we stayed at in Paris. Nice people too. The only problem were the owners/receptionist's friends who came to hang out through the night and had a bad tendency to smoke their little hearts out.

On the website, the place looked a little bigger.

There was a voucher for breakfast but the voucher was only good for a coffee and a small pastry. Typical Italian, but not enough for the average tourist. There was one small problem with the bathroom, but was quickly fixed after we told the front desk.

It's small but clean. About 2 minute walk from the nearest metro station, very convenient.

We were given the choice of staying in a room on the ground floor facing on to the street or the 4th floor. The 4th floor was larger, facing away from the street and had more light, however as there is no lift we found the stairs a real killer and if we had stayed more than the 2 days it would have been too much for us.

Directions on how to get there provided on the web site, particularly by tram, a little confusing. On alighting from the tram you need to walk back in the direction you came from and cross the road to get to the street the B&B is in.

A place reasonably close to most things. Staff very helpful (the people we had dealings with spoke very good english) -recommended inexpensive and good places to eat which were spot on. Accommodation within walking distance to some of the well known sites. If you want a room with ensuite make sure it is not on the 4th floor.

The person at the reception was helpful and gave us a useful map, but he spoke very little english and made no effort whatsoever to help carry our bags up and down the copious stairs.

The person at the reception had no extra pillows. The shower water mixer did not work, and after I asked him to fix it it didn't get much better. It was either hot or cold water.
The alleged breakfast consisted merely of a voucher to a nearby snack shop, only until 10:30, for a coffee and a pastry. This is not breakfast.

the room was in the basement , half window directly on the level footpath.
the room was near the reception so it was fearly noisy.

It was in the basement, so it was a cool room, which was great for sleeping at night. However, it was right next to the reception, so it was VERY NOISY, with people coming and going, and phone calls late at night.
Also, it was 'bed and breakfast'. However, for breakfast, they gave us a voucher to go to a nearby Cafe, which was quite busy -- impersonal and uncomfortable.

I am not sure one can tell from pictures on website -- pictures look fine, but facility seemed rather drab. Also, our room was very noisy as noted above.

Air conditioning was broken for 5 days with no alternative arrangements offered.

The lady there upon our arrival was welcoming and pleasant. The room was not as great as we had anticipated - see comments below...

We had a twin room as requested - it was quite small and the air conditioning wouldn't work (even after 7 trips up and down the stairs as there was no lift). They did however take some money off the room rate for the inconvenience of no a/c which was good.

A more indicative map would be good as the site said the B&B was close to the station, it is a significant walk from the actual entrances to the station (ie you basically follow the railway lines away from the station for quite a few blocks before you turn then do a few more blocks....not as close as anticipated.
