I had e-miled the hotel for directions from the place we were staying in Tuscany. I recieved a reply almost instantly and the directions had us at the hotel very quickly
Full Marks.
...
One minor problem with the room, was that the external shutters on the windows would not close, when we tried to close the curtains, we found they were ornamental rather than functional. this led to the room being very light, early in the morning.
...
We asked the receptionist for directions back to the ring road to go back to Tuscany.
She informed us that at the time of day we were leaving the ring road would be at a standstill. This left us with the prospect of driving all the way across central Rome at rush hour. The receptionist gave us clear and precise directions and with the minimum of fuss we were on the correct road.

Once again, Full Marks!

limited car parking is available in the hotel grounds, but they do charge for this, it was 7 euro's per day at that time.

Checking in was easy. The room was ready for us. The receptionist was very helpful, she gave us a map of the city and answered questions that we had.
...
We received a non-smoking room, as requested. The room was very nice, with a very comfortable bed. Sleeping on two twin beds pushed together is what we had been sleeping on for over a week, so it was a very pleasant change!
...
The desk let us keep our bags there while we toured Rome for a few more hours, which was very nice.
...
Very clean and quiet. The hotel has a bright and cheerful feeling, with high ceilings and lots of light. Breakfast area is large, with many tables to eat and relax. The best place we stayed in Italy.

The Hotel would have been perfect - If there wasn't major renovation works going on. It was very noisy from about 7.30 a.m. onwards and this destroyed our sleep and eventually our holidays. We complained to the staff, left a day early and negotiated a 30 % discount. But even the discount didn't make up for a holiday that was shorter and less relaxing as expected.
...
I think the hotel manager should inform their guest BEFOREHAND that there will we renovation works going on. Of course you can't expect to get paied the full rate. It is clearly not fair not informing your guests!

A friendly, quiet hotel about a mile from the Colosseum. There's not much to do near the hotel but the quiet location makes up for that. Very little traffic or street noise. A short taxi trip to the sights, with a metro station 10 minutes walk away. The hotel organised a taxi to the airport on departure.

First-time visitors to Rome face a hustle at the airport. We made a mistake because we didn't have a clear plan before we landed. Faced with what sounded like too much $$$ for train, taxi or rented car+city parking, we took an hour or two to inform ourselves and decide on a shared van into the city.

Nice Jakuzzi tubs.

A friend recommended this place to us and we would recommend it to others. This is a very attractive and comfortable hotel. It is in a good location in relation to the places you might want to see. They have breakfast.

I found it difficult to find a nice *** hotel in Rome below this price range. Not that the hotel is low cost for what it offers, but keep in mind that Rome is a rather expensive place to stay. All in all hotel Emona Aquaductus lived up to expectations for what it costs. Our room was sufficiently large, good looking and well maintained, had a jacuzzi as was agreed, and breakfast was more than acceptable. The room was quiet and the staff friendly and helpful. I am convinced that it is difficult to find better in Rome at lower cost.

The staff was wonderful - they all spoke very good English, knew the bus and subway routes, and were very helpful in suggesting restaurants in out-of-the-way neighborhoods. The one problem is the subway stop in your directions Manzoni, is closed right now - so it was very confusing to find the hotel from the subway when we realized we could not get off at that stop. I would recommend one of the several buses/trams that go from Termini to the plaza down the street from the hotel.
...
The room was quiet, comfortable and very nice. The staff were all very helpful. We have already recommended this hotel to friends.
...
You should change the directions to take public transit to the hotel from the train station - the staff could tell you, but I think the #5 tram runs from the train station to the plaza right down the street from the hotel. That would make arrivals easier.
...
It's a quiet, comfortable, clean place a little bit out of the way from the major tourist attractions. Friendly staff speak English, know the bus routes and can help arrange anything you need. Beds are very comfortable, and the tubs were a welcome relief after days spent walking the streets of Rome.

I was a little surprised, because the room they gave us, looked totaly different than at the pictures on your website. And it was even nicer!!! But I was not at all satisfied with the location of the room. I could hardly sleep at night because of the crossroad in front of the hotel. I expected a very quiet hotel - since I chosed it because it was not in the centre of Rome.
The staff of the hotel was so nice to give us another room for the rest of the nigths. The rooms have been very clean an furnished in a very beautiful way. The only thing that was a little disapointing was the breakfest room and the breakfest itself: the room was very small and the very poorly decorated breakfest was every day the same.

All in all I really liked the hotel but it was a little less nice than I expected to be.

We felt that our room, which we understood to be an above standard one, was small and badly located right next to a very noisy reception and street. However, the staff did move us when we asked for a quieter room, although it was no further away from reception.
...
The receptionists seemed to have no idea that people want to sleep in the mornings and would talk very loudly from 6am. Every morning our sleep was disrupted. The breakfast room was too small and people (not us) often had to wait or share tables.
...
Very helpful - we were able to book a taxi and leave our luggage.
...
There are no buses which go from the centre to near the Hotel - it may be worth showing the tram stop and connections (and where to buy tickets) otherwise walking everywhere can be very tiring.

We walked from the terminii station and the directions published are essentially for driving. From termini station it's much easier to walk straight down Giovanni Gioliiti to Porta Maggiore and straight along statilia rather than follow the given directions which send you considerably out of the way!
However on arrival staff were helpful. carrying our bags and being very clear about facilties, etc.
...
Breakfast room is very small and crowded.

Actual bedrom itself was spacious, clean airy and comfortable with enormous bathroom!

However it is close to Statilia and porta maggiore and we found it noisy from traffic during the weekdays. Weekends were much quieter
...
Staff kept our baggage until we were ready to After checkout, we could leave our bags securely with staff and had no troubl remaining at the hotel for some time before leaving.
...
Negatives - Primarily I think you should point out it is southwest of Terminii station and is in an area of less-than desirable neighbourhood. We had no personal trouble, but the aesthetics and cleanliness/ general feel of the area is distinctly, for want of abetter phrase, 'working class'

There are not very many restaurants in the immediate area - have to get north of terminii/Vittorio Emmanule for a good selection .....but..a super little trattoria restaurant completely unpretentious just around the corner at Porta Maggiore which is open sunday evenings.---most places in the neighbourhood aren't!)
Positives - easy walking distance to St Giovanni Lateran (15 mins)and colosseeum - be sure to take the park along the road via porta maggiore and Carlo Felice (not Statilia).

Convenient for station (once you get the right road...)
...
Unpretentious, fair valuee, be prepared for a bit of a walk to places, a good base to go from but not a place to remain around in the day.
Take the metro from Manzoni - not terminii - it's closer!

The cost of a 3* Hotel in Rome would equate to cost of a 4* back in Dublin, so in that instance it was not value for money. However given that there seems to be no reasonably priced hotels in Rome I would say that it was good value compared to its rivals.

The air conditioner unit made a 'clicking' noise when it reached the room temp. At first, I didn't know what it was as it happened about an hour before waking. The second night, I was waked up 4 times by the noise. I should have reported it, but the person on duty that morning didn't speak/understand English quite well enough for us to explain that problem. And, my husband didn't think it was worth reporting, since I figured out later how to keep it from happening. Otherwise, the stay was nice; breakfast was good and we were able to eat early on the morning of our Naples tour.

We were two adult women travelling as friends. Initially, the hotel tried to put us in a room with only a double bed. We stated that we had specified twin beds. They then gave us an appropriate room. When we returned for the night of the 16th as specified in our reservation, they again tried to give us a room with only a double bed. We said we would move to another hotel if they didn't have a suitable room available. The front desk clerk trid to reach the manager to discuss the situation, was unable to locate the manager and decided to put us in a small suite for the night. We were very pleased that he was able to take the initiative and solve the problem.
...
In general we were very pleased with the hotel. One disappointment was that the roof top garden mentioned in the web site was not open. There was not much of a place to sit outside except for a couple of chairs at the front of the hotel which were in a small but charming setting. There is a certain amount of traffic noise at night.

Your instructions to the hotel were adequate but failed to mention the one way streets, which make it impossible to drive there by the most direct route on the map. Also, you should tell travelers that under no circumstances do they or should they want to drive in Rome.
