We and our friends believe that it was one of the finest hotels in which we have stayed. This covers dozens of visits to Europe.

Although the Duke is a bit our of the center of Rome, it has the advantage of being in a very quiet area. One of us had a room with a large terrace, which was a fantastic advantage for us.

I would strongly recommend the Duke for all of the reasons I have already stated. Everything about it was superb!

Everyone made us feel at home.
Eventhough it was not centrally located it was great that they provided transportation to the center of the city.

It was unclear when I made the reservations how far away from the center of Rome the Hotel actually was. THe hotel, however, was lovely and the service impecable. thank you for a wonderful stay. Mr. and Mrs. Moss

I got smoking room as non smoker, but perhaps we did not mention it when booking the room. On the other hand it should have been asked. Hotel was full, so there was no other room available.

We were quite satisfied with the Duke Hotel - and particularly happy with the hotel's regular shuttle service to the centre of Rome.
The major negative comment is that we felt that the carpet in our room needed steam cleaning/replacement (there were a number of stains and marks in it, which made it somewhat unsightly.
Also, the daily replacement of some bathrooms items (i.e. additional towels and bathrobes)needed more attention - we were obliged to remind reception of this - and the problem was rectified immediately.
Otherwise, we had a very pleasant stay at the Duke Hotel.

I suggest that the website be a bit clearer about location of the hotel - it turned out not to be a problem because of the shuttle service - but we thought that the hotel would be closer to the centre of Rome (albeit on the edge of the Villa Borghese gardens)

A very comfortable hotel, albeit not centrally located. Particularly convenient if you have a car.
