The building is divided into two wings:
The "Conventual Wing" This wing forms part of the Monastery and consists of three levels occupied by the Hall, the Refectory and other finely furnished rooms of various sizes. Some of the rooms are part of the 16th century structure, others on the upper floor have rooftop views over the gardens of Rome and those of the Monastery itself. The floors are connected by a windowed lift, allowing inspection of the important 19th century paintings. |
The "Palazzina Wing" The Palazzina extends towards the area once occupied by the Imperial Amphitheatre. Its five floors have been entirely renovated and tastefully furnished. They are reached by a lift and the bedrooms command views over the Roman archaeological remains and the baroque Piazza Santa Croce. The Domus is beside the Church House of Santa Croce, which has a tenniscourt and volleyball ground. |
In these two wings we can comfortably accommodate our guest in one of the 60 bedrooms. Rooms are of various sizes and designed with traditional terracotta floors and crafted furnishings. En-suite facilities are: private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, air-conditioning, wheelchair access, satellite TV, refrigerator-bar, room safe, direct dialling telephone & internet plug-in. |
