Organised tours Vatican City Tour: Our three hour tour is offered several times a week and covers St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums, and the Sistine Chapel. The Vatican is one of the most interesting and breathtakingly beautiful sites in the world, but it can be a bit overwhelming to the average traveller. Our guides will take you to some of its major attractions, as well as to some lesser known spots, and give you a broad base for understanding the history, architecture, and politics of the Vatican. But don't think that the Vatican is all gold and pomp and stateliness--its history is full of dark tales of deceit and even lust! You will get a taste of it all: the gritty and the high and mighty, the dirty politics and the ethereal beauty of Renaissance creation. A world of discovery awaits you, and we are excited to take you there. Please note that a dress code is enforced at St. Peter's, and visitors with exposed shoulders or knees (and this includes shorts) may not be admitted. |
Night Tour: Similar to our classic Ancient Rome tour, this three hour adventure will cover the Colosseum, the Capitoline Hill, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. The night tour allows one to experience the romance of Rome as the sun is setting, and it is a wonderful way to witness its beauty under lights. The guides are both skilled and knowledgeable. This experience is guaranteed to put you in the right mood for your evening festivities. |

Domus Inn is situated very close to Via Veneto, the now legendary place which in the Fifties became the symbol of a hedonist and decadent life style, represented in cinema by Federico Fellini with "La Dolce Vita", the famous movie with Marcello Mastroianni and Anita Ekberg. Via Veneto, with its historic cafés, such as Doney, the theatre of many scandals with Hollywood and Cinecittŕ divas as the protagonists, from Ava Gardner to Sofia Loren, from Kirk Douglas to Walter Chiari, immortalized in the indiscreet pictures from the paparazzi that filled the pages of the magazines of the time. Another extremely picturesque location is the spectacular Villa Borghese, surrounded by 80 hectares of park scattered with fountains, sculptures and small buildings. The park hosts Galleria Borghese, where one can admire one of the broadest art collections in the world collected since 1600 by the Borghese family. One of the most beautiful points in the park is the Pincio, from where you can embrace a view of the entire Eternal City. Art, history and culture strongly characterise the surroundings of Domus Inn, but if you would prefer a more frivolous digression between the museums and the monuments, you won't be disappointed. The immediate surroundings are in fact the centre for luxury shopping, represented by the renowned Via Condotti, by Via Borgognona and by Via Frattina with rows of boutiques from the most prestigious designers. |
