Excellent location! It was within walking distance to both the Vaticana and to ancient Rome. The Staff was very helpful, especially in helping us to communicate with the FCO airport and Atalia, who lost our luggage. It was one of the few places in Rome that could accommodate 5 people in one a 2 room hotel room with one bath. Breakfast was good, too.

Elsewhere in Rome and in other places in Italy, we encountered very marginal to nonexistant Air Conditioning,such as in restaraunts, buses, other hotel rooms, etc, with 35 degree C temperatures and high humidity. This hotel was very comfortable.

Great location, friendly staff. I would stay there again. The price was very expensive as compared to the United States, but was comparable to other hotels in Rome in that location.

Our stay was very pleasant. The rooms were clean and bright, quite spacious. Baths were new and well equipped.

A wonderful place to stay -highly recommend others to stay there too. Rooms are attractive, bright and spacious. Everything is clean, and in good working order. Excellent European style breakfasts. Very close to major attractions but quieter as a short block away from the major streets. Great restaurants in the area. Transportation just around the corner to take all over Rome.

This is a great little hotel which is perfectly placed for access to all the sites and just around the corner from Piazza Navona. It looks a little disappointing from the outside but makes up for it inside. Our room was typically Italian, spacious and the bathroom facilities were very good. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. The room was quiet and we would stay there again.

Wonderful staff, very helpful and kind. Spoke very good English. Room was beautiful! Hard wood floors and decor very neat and attractive. Would definitely recommend trying to get the room at the top with the terrace!

Very well situated near the Piazza de Novana. Easily accessible to many sites in Rome. The hotel is quiet, very bed and breakfaast like. Clean and cordial. Very happy with our stay. Very friendly staff.

We were met with a pre booked car and was very satisfied with it and the cost if it it was comfortable and very adequate.
The receptionist was pleasant and helpful.

It is a nice hotel, very well managed. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good. The hotel is new, in an old building. I think they did a pretty thorough renovation because all the plumbing and heating was new and worked very well, with good hot showers. That is not always the case in Europe. The location is fantastic. If you are willing to walk a little, you can get to many places. Pantheon is nearby, Piazza Navona is around the corner. St. Peter's is about a mile, with a nearby bus that goes there.
There are a lot of little streets with nice small restaurants close by. I would recommend this hotel to a friend and would stay there again if we went back. Thanks to the staff!

The temperature in the breakfast area was too cold. There should be a curtain between this area an the corridor. That would certainly solve the problem

we hired a taxi through the hotel to pick us up- so directions was not an issue. we had opted for this hotel instead of tiziano because, this residenza said they would give us a standard suite with one double and two single beds. instead we got a junior suite which was really one room that had a double bed and a cot. we had a large terrace and that was lovely. i did not complain because i did not realize the discrepancy in my reservation letter ('standard vs. junior') until the third day there and by then, we were too embarrassed to push the issue because they were all so friendly and helpful and because the place was lovely and spotless!! the location was also superb..perfect for our needs. i will definitely stay with them again and have actually recommended them already to many people. my husband and i own a hair salon in manhattan, new york and clients ask us for travel tips all the time. by the way, i recommend worldby now---and i just discovered you guys this last trip planning. good luck to you all.

We had a lovely stay in Residenza Canali.
It was our birthdays while we were there and we received a big bunch of flowers from the Hotel. Stairs could have been a problem but our suitcases were taken up for us.
I would certainly recommend it.

They provided exceptional sevice and value!
We loved the quality of the breakfast and especially loved the terrace suite we had. It was worth the 4 flights of stairs each day (no elevator).
The rooms were fresh and clean and top knotch. We plan on staying there next year when we return to Rome.
Thanks to TripAdvisor.com for the referral to your lovely establishment. We based our reservation on the reviews on the site. I plan on adding my positive review to the already lengthy list of positive ones already out there.

Very friendly staff. Offered us a cup of tea. As we could not get in our room due to early arrival, kindly the reception staff carried our bags up to the room later.

The whole atmosphere was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was fantastic with its own roof balcolny. We were provided with a kettle and tea making facilties (free of charge) as the staff knew we liked our cup of tea. Excellent location. Would only come to Rome again if I could stay here!

I would highly recommend this property if you want a nice quiet bustle free stay in Rome. Small but perfect guest house. The location is great as well. Easy to walk to all sights from here. Next time I come to Rome I will stay here.

At our request, the personnel at Residenza Canali ai Coranari arranged for a car to pick us up at the airport. The price was reasonable. All of the staff was exceptionally warm in greeting us and informing us of restaurants, transportation, etc.

It couldn't have been better. The facility is within walking distance of almost all major 'sites'. It is a charming medieval area with antique shops and narrow, charming cobblestone streets.
Breakfast was served in a lovely small room and was quite good. Fresh baked goods, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc.

Checkout went smoothly and a taxi to the train station for our next stop in Florence was arranged for and arrived in 5 minutes.

Other than facilities and prices, it's hard to put on a website how gracious ALL of the personnel at the Residenza were. They were a very positive and welcome beginning to our trip to Italy.

I would, and have, recommended the Residenza to family and friends. The staff is wonderful, warm, and accomodating. They called taxis, if needed, and made restaurant reservations for us with no telephone charges.

Everything about our stay was wonderful, except that I failed to check whether or not there were elevators, as my father was with us and had had double knee replacement surgery. It was very difficult for all of us to maneuver the stairs with luggage, but for him it was particularly so.

Fabulous Find in Rome
Wonderful family-owned boutique hotel that is central to all of the sights in Rome but away from the touristy areas (Spanish Steps/Pantheon) on a charming, quiet street lined with antiques shops near the lovely Piazza Navona. Large spacious rooms, beautifully appointed with antiques and elegant fabrics. Delicious continental breakfast with variety of home-made pastries and charcuterie that changed daily; espresso/cappucino available also. Family friendly. Arranged our dinner reservations, taxis, and helped with directions. New bathrooms. Have never been disappointed by the hotels we've found through TripAdvisor. Will definitely return.

A very charming & cosy mini villa within easy walking distance to the major Rome visiting sites. Despite staying with our 3 children the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. I loved being able to throw open the shutters in the mornings to see Italian daily life down on the cobbled street below.

We were met at the airport as arranged and driven straight to the hotel. It was a very comfortablre way to arrive.

It was difficult to tell from the website whether the hotel was on a main road. It wasn't and we were delighted with its quiet yet cetral position.

A car was arranged to take us back to the airport, it arrived on time and the staff were there to see us off.

It is important to emphasise the quietness of the street where the hotel stands. There was no noise at all from outside, which was great.
The only comment we might make was that as the bedroom floors are wooden, you can hear people walking about on the floor above, particularly if they are wearing hard shoes.

The only thing I would add would be a computer available for internet access. The other three hotels we visited in Venice, Florence and Sorrento all had internet access. The hotel in Florence had a computer in each room which you could use at not additional charge. Our hotel in Venice provided a laptop at no additonal charge and the one in Sorrento had one in the lobby for which you did have to pay.

We had to leave very early in the morning and were able to take our breakfast with us. The staff provided bags in which to wrap the food and bottled water as well.

This is the second time I have stayed at Residenza Canali, and as the last time I am very happy with the stay. The staff is very accomodating, they speak excellent english, the location is perfect with walking distance to most places, breakfast is delicious (the strawberry cake alone was worth the stay) and the atmosphere is great. Next time in Rome, this will be my first choice of accomodation.

I don`t remember all details from the web side, but the most positive is the atmosphere. Is just a very cosy place, small and laid back, not over crowded as many other places in Rome. It`s a great place to relax away from all the stress inthe streets, on the balcony with a cold chianti :-)

Well, just as above. A secret retreat in the middle of Rome. I have already recommended it to many of my friends. However, I may be a bit more careful to do that in the future - after all I don`t want it to become too popular. I might end up not getting a room next time :-)

Very welcoming. The room was not yet ready, but we were offered a space to hold our luggage and invited to make ourselves at home on their property.

The front desk people were very helpful, and I was able to do a lot of our arrangements directly with them by email, which was very easy. We were going to a cruise out of Civitavecchia and therefore needed quite a lot of transfers to be organized for the 5 of us, including our transfer to the hotel from the airport, to the ship in Civitavecchia, home from the ship, and two separate transfers back to the airport from the hotel at the end of our trip. The hotel management organized all of these for us in a very efficient manner, and the car firm they used had top-notch vehicles which could accommodate all 5 of us with our luggage. I really appreciated this service.
The location of the hotel is just perfect, in that you can walk to all of the major sites, and are close to the key plazas for watching the world go by. Because there were 5 of us, we had the family room, and this was spacious and very nicely air-conditioned. Just right for all of us. the breakfast was also adequate, with lots of fresh fruit. The hotel is very quiet, which is a big plus, because lots of people congregate in this part of town. On my last trip to Rome, I stayed at another hotel by the Pantheon, and it was so noisy that it was hard to sleep. Residenza Canali is wonderfully quiet, and yet still very central in location.
All in all, I would strongly recommend this hotel. Its pricing was very reasonable, considering this is Rome, and I would definitely stay there again.

A staff member was very helpful with a situation we had.My credit card company mistakenly put a hold on my credit card.The staff member was able to get me phone numbers for Master card in Rome. The situation was quickly resolved with his help.

Excellent location for walking in several directions to all major sites in Rome (if you really enjoy walking and seeing things along the way as we do). Very clean accomodations with hospitable, friendly staff. Quiet with windows closed and AC running in summer. Breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable.

We stayed in two different rooms - our first room was not available on our last night. We had been advised of this when we booked.
Our only complaint was that, in both rooms, there was a build-up of mold in the frames of both shower stalls. The smell was quite pronounced in both rooms.

very private entrance which was intriguing. however, lots of stairs which is tough for luggage or anyone with difficulty climbing. rooms were small, but top floor rooms had a roof top patio which we shared with friends for a romantic late afternoon wine and cheese party. breakfasts were excellent. overall, very nice, peaceful, and accomodating. free internet use even.
