we had a fantstic stay in rome due to the wonderful staff at the hotel continentale. the hotel was perfectly located in a quiet area but close to the termini. the staff were extremely helpful and every question we had they were able to answer. the rooms were spotless and was kept this way throughout oour stay. the breakfast was excellent and there was plenty to eat and never any hurray to finish. an excellent, value for money stay.

Have already recommended this hotel to 2 other peopl thinking of going to Rome. The room was spacious and clean and reception staff great. Only comment I would make is that a sheet of paper with 'quick guide' would have been useful re breakfast, coming in and out and safety deposit facilities. We left money with reception and were tight for money one day as they couldn't access it until 11am.

Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant. The rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very nice. The hotel staff were very helpful.

The staff were very helpful as we could leave our bags in a safe area after check out. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel until we were leaving at 12.30 pm.

I did ask for a room facing the courtyard or one with a balcony (via email) - neither was confirmed by the hotel however and I simply got a standard room as per my voucher.

The hotel was in a reasonable area - good food, easy transport connections and had a very safe feel about it.

The hotel kindly held onto our cases after check-out - allowing us the freedom to once again visit the city prior to having to leave.

Basic but very clean. Friendly but a bit quirky (several hotels in the one building). Great location - especially for a late night arrival at the Termini. Overall - a good place to lay your head!

On the website it said that all rooms had bathrooms. We was not sure if this included both shower and toilet (fortunately it did).

Not in the middel of the city, but if you don't want to ruin yourself it's a good alternativ. 4 blocks from the metro.

the bus terminals should on that away-flat larger and more clearly written down.So one with the arrival a better orientation from the station saw.

The hotel is a few minutes walk from Termini Station. Accomodation is basic, but clean and quiet. Other rooms are currently being redecorated.

Water pressure for the shower and wash basin was extremely poor.
We requested an iron and was told rather rudely that there was a laundy shop 200m away.
Breakfast was poor.

Everything was just great. I would recommend the hotel anytime. Maybe they could get a new and more modern cofee machine for breakfast.

The clerk at the desk in the evening was especially helpful, anticipating our needs and offering service. For example, he anticipated our need for a taxi to the airport in the morning and offered to call one before we even thought to ask him to.
The televisions in 2 of 3 rooms did not work. Air conditioning was fairly weak in one room. Also, the hairdryers in the bathrooms are very difficult to use.

We have been wondering, why they changed the soap every day - we stayed for one week and one piece would have been sufficient for that time, but every day they took the used piece and changed it against a new one. It´s nice but absolutely not necessary. :-)

good located - you can go by feet from Stazione Termini to the hotel and also from the hotel to the sightseeing-points; good breakfast; we would recommend the hotel and we would return, in case that we will visit Rome again.

There was some damage to the walls in my room that had not been repaired. The sheets and towels were also not so soft.

Hotel was smaller than I imagined. Breakfast was little simplier that I am used to.
WC in our hotel apartment smelled bad.
Air conditioning was not working efficiently as it should be, it kept temperature between 24-25C.

it was cold at night and in the morning on waking up...we asked for air condtioning hot air, it was not working (on purpose)

average 2 stars hotel 160euro for triple room, i checked 3 star hotel nearby better standart for 140 euros.
120 euro would have been more appropriate for this room

The pictures online were much better than it was. We were meant to get a double bed but it was two single beds pushed together and one of them was slightly broken. It was very cold and we had to use the extra blanket to even be remotely warm. The first 2 mornings there was no hot water for showers and when we told the reception they said that nobody else had complained. We then realised that the hot water goes off by around 8.30-9am so you have to get up very ealry to have a shower beofre breakfast which wasn't particularly great.
Also the towels were basically table cloth linen.
However, the rooms were cleaned every day and although the room was fairly dingy and old, it was clean.

I really like the staff of the Hotel Continentale. All of them were very polite and kind during our stay there. If I visit Rome once again, I'll defenitely stay at this hotel.
