Within walking distance of the Vatican. ... Comfortable, clean, well-kept hotel close enough to the historic area but in a quieter location. Recommended.

I had emailed the hotel directly to ask for a bottle of champagne on arrival - which was not there when we arrived in our room. It was dealt with within minutes and a bottle of champagne arrived on ice in our room. We were not charged for this. We asked reception to recommend a nearby restaurant as it was quite late when we arrived and we were hungry - the concierge recommended a very nice local restaurant within yards of the hotel. ... Ther was a little confusion regarding the payment of taxis to and from the airport - The Hotel uses a firm for airport shuttle, but I don't think I was advised accurately as to who I sould pay - the hotel or the driver. ... It is rather a long way out of the centre of Rome and wqte a walk to get to the nearest metro for maybe less able or elderly guests ... Nice, clean, comfortable, elegantly furnished and old fashioned courtesy

When I arrived I was given a room that had not been made up. I returned to reception and was given another room, but few apologies. ... I had not realised that there were no facilities for food apart from breakfast. ... I think the website says that there is an airport shuttle but when I phoned the hotel from the airport I was told that this was not so and I had to make my own way. ... sanitised.

The service could be friendlier. With exeptions mostly unfriendly. Room with a terrace, not mentioned that not private. ... Fairly good property, rooms small, bathroom adequate and renovated, service could be friendlier, terrace not private but accessible from the central room

1-How to get there: After getting off from the subway station take bus #23 or 70 that goes to piazza Clodio.Piazza Clodio is the bus terminal. The hotel is about three blocks from there.Nobody seems to know Hotel Clodio.Nobody knows where is the street address. We went to the coffee shop next to the bus depot and they directed us. Accomodations: Very cute hotel.Breakfast is good. The TV in the room has NO CABLE only ONE channel was clear.NO RADIO.Reception Desk don't know the Country Code to make a phone call to the States. There is only ONE computer with Internet for everybody so your chances are zero.It doesn't match with the price. ... With no TV and no radio we felt secluded. ... The Reception Desk people were the nicest people. ... Directions how to get there are incomplete.(read above)From the subway station you have to take a bus to get to piazza Clodio, then walk arund three blocks. Rooms have old TVs with no cable if you get one channel you are lucky.NO radio ... Nice property, quiet neighborhood.Very convenient for transportation.Three blocks away from Piazza Clodio where you can take the buses.Subway stations are clean.People are helpful.Everybody warns you about pickpocketers but we didn't see anything.Since we went for the Pope's events police was everywhere.

Surprised there was no one to help with luggage. No help in determining which elevator to use. No luggage carts, etc. ... Room not cleaned; Safe in room wouldn't work (which they confirmed after we unpacked, etc. but they did let us use safe in office). ... No one spoke English in early AM when we left so I couldn't ask questions about the bill. ... Cab ride to city center is about $ 10 Euros. Bus is a lengthy trip with stops. ... Just OK

As a foreign visitor to Italy, I would indicate somewhere on the website that a taxi ride from the airport (FCO) to the Clodio will cost approximately 50-60 euros. ... Very nice. The staff is very attentative and helpful. The rooms are clean. The rooms are a bit smaller than hotel rooms in the United States. I would stay at the Clodio again.
