Though ther is just a small sign indicating Citys House, the taxi driver took us right to the door. The staff were very more than helpful. The rooms were perfect and they accomodated my family of 6 easily. ... Citys house is 5 seconds from the pantehnon and in the middle of everything. We walked to all sights in Rome. It was very nice to take dinner at one of the restaurants right next store and stroll through the city at night, or roll into bed. ... The staff arranged a minivan for our trip to the airport at a discounted price as compared to two taxis needed for our party of 6. They made accomodations to have breakfast for us early on our leave day. ... My family and I were very pleased with Citys House. We have told our friends that if they go to Rome, staying at this B&B is definitely the way to go.

This was our 2nd stay in City's House, and we are very grateful to the lovely Daniela, she did so much to make our stay the best. We will be back soon, and our friends will also stay at City's House. The location is perfect, so close to Pantheon, and in such a lovely street. The rooms are very clean and airy. Grazie. ... It is so nice and clean, and the service is so kind, nice and personal, thanks to Daniela. ... The very best location, so close to Pantheon and the classic centre of Roma. So clean, nice, quiet - and with a personal touch.

The woman who ran the hotel was very kind and accomodating. She kept the place spotless! ... Everything was wonderful and beyond our expectations. The only issue we had was that we had a hard time figuring out the air conditioning....and, since it was a very hot stretch in Rome, we had a bit of a hard time. We slept with the windows open, and the street noise began quite early with the catering company directly across the street getting busy to work at the crack of dawn! This did nothing, however, to detract from the comfort and charm of the facility. I think we later figured out that the Italian air conditioning works opposite from the American one -- and we were setting it up incorrectly. ... 1 block from the Pantheon, but on a quieter and more romantic piazza. ... Comfortable and well-equipt rooms, charming piazza location, convenient to all sites, but off on a quiter piazza. Good bars and restaurants located just outside the door.

This was a wonderful experience...we were warmly welcomed and kindly tended to throughtout our stay by Daniele. I would highly recommend this B&B to everyone visiting Rome. The location was perfectly ideal! Thank You!!! ... Daniele went out of her way to assist us with check out and departing Rome. ... Be sure to visit Divinum wine bar restaurant just across the street! You'll finish each wonderful day there!! ... A great central location while visiting Rome. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Daniele, our hostess, was more than kind and helpful. And we found the best wine bar/restaurant just across the street called Divinum. My only regret is we didn't find that until our last night!

WE had a brilliant stay at City's House. Perfectly situated in the heart of Rome. With everything to hand. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A touch noisy, but that's just the glorious nature of Rome, always something going on. THoroughly recommend this to anyone who wants a great central location.

The only negative comment you'll hear from me - despite charming Daniella's insistence to the contary, the hotel is almost impossible to find. Much clearer directions needed. ... A delight. ... Daniella arranged private transportation for us at an agreed on price. Very good. ... Stress again - the location is superb, the cleanliness is beyond reprach, and, by Italian standards, the breakfast is good. ... A really good small hotel in the best location in Rome. We would unquestionably stay there again.

Your instructions to the hotel were ok, but the location itself seemed to be confusing, it was very difficult to the taxi driver to locate the hotel and the street. The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming ... Was extremely happy with the location of the property, amazingly near to Pantheon and Piazza Navona and still affordable. Was also happy about the street where the hotel was located, busy little walking street with many restaurants. This hotel is also good for single people, feel safe and the location is safe as well ... location is better than described it is possible to get a small fridge to the room
... Great location, small and friendly little hotel. I would recommend it mainly because of where it is situated, it is great for short stays in Rome.

The taxi could not bring us to the entrance door, so it was a little bit difficult to find the City's House. ... The air-condition in our room did not work properly, so it was too warm in the room. ... It is a very central place to stay, and at a reasonable price. No luxury, but OK.

Finding the location was quite difficult. Also the caretaker did not know English which made it difficult to find the place. ... Quality of breakfast provided was not satisfactory. Be aware that the hotel is on a pedestrian precinct so if taking lots of luggage then there is a short (20 yards) walk. ... The breakfast is not worth having apart from to get a hot drink first thing. There is a bakery close by so it should be possible to get fresh croissants and bread for guests. ... City's House is in a perfect location 50 yards from the Pantheon, in close walking proximity to all the major sites. The rooms are of a good size, very clean and quiet. For a short break this is an ideal place to stay.

In general: We have only positive things to say about our stay at City´s House,- both the room, the facilities, and the location,- oh my god, you couldn´t get it better - in the heart of everything! :O) ... See above :O) and to comment: We´ll be back and also recommend City´s House to family and friends! ... no comments :O) ... We didn´t know that the breakfast was served in the room, we thought it was gonna be somehow a 'buffet' in some kind of a restaurant connected to City´s House, but it was good,- very Italian and therefor also an experience! ... Too good to be true, it was in the middle of everything, and to mention, NO trafic out side the windows, to to us, it couldn´t be better.

A fantastic position and wonderfull staff. Everything about City's House was excellent After staying there and seeing others I wouldn't stay anywhere else. ... All of the rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. The website does not do City's House justice. Decor was fresh and modern, the rooms were big, beds were extremely comfortable and the staff were very helpfull and friendly. ... It is a freindly B & B with modern decor and great facilities. It is right in the heart of all of the must see attractions and an easy stroll to all of them. Everything was always spotless and the rooms were big with fantastic beds. Loved staying there and look forward to going back.

We got in about 9:30 am which was definitely earlier than check-in usually is but our rooms were ready and we were able to leave our luggage and get our keys. This let us get to our sightseeing without worrying about the luggage. There is one flight of stairs (no elevator) but even with sore feet it wasn't bad. The taxi driver had a little problem finding the place because it is in a pedestrian only zone, but we only circled the block once. The hotel entrance is 2 or 3 doors to the left of the Chiesa Maddalena and is in a pedestrian only area, so there is about a 30 foot or so walk from the road. ... The rooms and bathroom were spotless and Daniela was very welcoming. ... It went great. Daniela was able to get us a van to the airport for our 7 am flight and was even there at 5 am to make sure the driver showed up and knew where to go. ... Great location! A one minute or less walk to the Pantheon. Lots of great restaurants really close by. The rooms were nice and spacious and the area was a great area to just stroll through - lots of neat shop windows. ... It was a great location because it was an easy walk to all the major sites we wanted to see (St Peters, Coliseum, Spanish Steps, etc). There is also the electric minibus 116 that you can catch near the Pantheon that goes by a lot of the major sites as well (1 euro for a ticket good for 7 minutes - get them from a tabachi).

I had printed out my own directions from mapquest.com, so I didn't use the directions published online. Very friendly and accomodating. We would be happy to go back and would recommend the property to friends. Also, the room was very nice and clean. ... Room needs to be paid for in cash. ... The rooms were very nice and clean, the staff was great, and the location was extremely convenient.
The hotel was a great value for the money and I would absolutely recommend it to a friend.

Daniela not only sent a pick up car (at our last minute request) who was right there as we left the airport, but she was there to greet us and help us with our bags (which were many) upon our arrival. She was extreemely pleasant and accomodating, helped us into our room, provided a map and recommendations. It was a wonderful first experience with our first trip to Rome/Italy. ... Daniela was always there for us, no matter what time of day or night to help us with anything we needed. She was wonderful to talk to and made our trip even more enjoyable than it already was. ... Daniela exceeded our expectations when she prepared breakfast for us at 3 am on our last night for our departure at 3:45 for a very early morning flight back home! ... Comfortable, accomodating, good value, very friendly staff and very centrally located...we could walk no more than 30 min in all directions to get to all the big attractions: Vatican, Colosseum/Forum, Trevi, Spanish Steps and even the Galleria Borghese.

I ended up with a room that didn't have a private bath, but it was OK, as the room that I did get was bigger. Still, the private bath would have been nice. I was given the option of having one room or the other, so it was all fine. ... I would stay at City's House again and I would also recommend it to friends. Great value, very clean and pleasant. ... Having the option to pay with a credit card would be nice, though it's not too difficult to do the 'cash only' payment. ... It was not a big deal for us, but knowing about the 'walk up' to the second floor via a long staircase might be useful to some people. ... She gave us a map with clear instructions to all the places of interest. ... Daniella got up especially at 6am to check us out and bring us breakfast even though we told her it did not matter. ... The host was very helpful and friendly. The directions the website are quite good but I found walking from the Metro just as easy (if you don't have too may bags). ... The room I stayed in for the 2 nights was just what I needed. Very central to all the main attractions and close to transport links, especially the bus service.
The only negative was the noise from the restaurants just below the rooms and having breakfast served in the room as opposed to the separate dining area. ... Very reasonably-priced given the location. ... The separate dining area as noted above. ... Clean, comfortable and very centrally-located.

Our bathroom was not ensuite, but it did not matter because no one else was there. There were rooms with ensuite baths which Daniela offered, but they were not air-conditioned. It was very nice and clean, recently updated, and Daniela took good care of us. It is unfortunate that they cannot figure out some way to exhaust the heat from the airconditioning system. It tends to heat up the unair-conditioned rooms while cooling only the two that are air-conditioned. But it is historic Rome, and apparently there are lots of regulations.
City's House is a wonderful location and I would recommend it, especially in the fall, spring, or winter, when you do not need air-conditioning. ... I cannot really answer #9. Some things were better. The AC situation was not anticipated. ... We had friends with us, who left on a different morning. We both left very early, but Daniela prepared breakfast for us all and had a driver at the door to take us to the airport. ... Great location, fresh and clean, but better in the cooler months.

Even though our visit was late September, the weather was hot and our room's A/C did not work well. It was very hot during our stay and I specifically booked accommodation with air conditioning. However the air con was poor and the proprietor kept switching it off. It was very hot during the night and I woke up sweating on many occasions. ... On leaving the Italian proprietor demanded we pay in cash. I assumed as they had my credit card number, I could pay on the card. Lucky we could get the 540 euros from the cash machine. ... On the positive side, it’s in a good location near the Pathenon. It overhangs a busy street lined with restaurants; although the window soundproofing is excellent. Don't eat in nearby restaurants, they serve very poor quality food and are expensive. There ok for a pizza. ... The bedroom is spacious and very clean and tidy, as is the bathroom. Excellent location for exploring Rome. My only gripe is the air con, not really up to the job and had we had a very uncomfortable nights sleep during entire stay.
