I was very disappointed that smoking was allowed in the common areas. I was newly pregnant during our stay, and was not able to use the kitchen in the morning as the other guests were smoking 8 feet away from me. They were by an open window, but the smoke was blowing in. ... Alfredo was very helpful to us as we departed. ... The fact that smoking is allowed. We never would have stayed there had we known.
It was also a challenge being quiet there, as the sound carried easily. We had to whisper anytime we were out of our rooms.

Breaklfast was VERY basic using cheap nasty cut price bulk buy long life ingedients. No eggs, ham or cheese. Just enough but nothing to write home about. ... Heating could have worked better. Beds were VERY hard. ... Good central location. The restaurant next door but one allows smoking after all have eaten - what a bonus!

Very clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet - and in addition it's newly refurbished. One small complaint: Fresh bread for breakfast would be appreciated! ... For Rome it's incredibly quiet! ... Superb!

Although the directions are clear the tube stop closest to the b&b was closed, it would have been good to know this. ... The closest tube stop is currently closed ... Clean and well presented

We arrived late, but Alfredo stood outside the B&B in the street and called out the name of our group and helped us with the luggage. It felt good! ... The site was very neat and clean. Alfredo was helpful. The beds were a bit too hard in my taste. A pair of earrings and a new knife werw stolen from our rooms the day before we left. ... We left very, very early but Alfredo woke up and helped us with the luggage. He couldnīt help us order a taxi for the railwaystation though so we had to walk. He offere us a shuttle to the airport but we already had paid for the shuttle from the railwaystation. ... The elevator is very small and it doesnīt feel safe. ... Very neet, hard beds, near to the metro.

The stay was overall good except for the shower that drained very slowly. ... How to get there mentions the Manzoni Metro station although it is closed till December 2006. The directions should be changed to getting Bus 105 or Tram 5 to/from Roma Termini. ... What a delightful little B&B this is! The host, Alfredo was quite friendly and helpful, although he doesn't speak much english. There are nice resturants and bars around the area (say hello to Gennaro at the restaurant 2 doors down, look for the bright orange tablecloths! the food there is good too) The location is pretty good, although the closest metro station (Manzoni) is closed for renovations until December 2006, so your best bet is catching Bus number 105 or Tram number 5 to Roma Termini, you can then catch any bus or metro to everywhere in Rome. On the whole it was a pleasant stay, although the breakfast was somewhat basic (but sufficient) and the shower in our room was somewhat slow in draining, a minor hitch in an overall spotlessly clean and nice B&B. Will stay there again if we go to Roma.

The rooms are very clean as a cleaner is coming every morning(rate 10/10).The only thing is that our room was a bit small and without privacy at all.We could hear people and TV from the next bedroom and everything happening in the entrance hall. Also in the bathroom we had half a roll of toilet paper on our arrival that wasn't replaced the next day.We had to wait till the following day. Overall the location of the B&B is very good, the owner is really friendly and helpful.I will recommend this B&B for good quality/price in Rome. As we are a young couple who like going out at night and waking up after 10:00 which was the time breakfast finiches, there were not any ptoblem for us taking breakfast at 11:00 which we really appreciated. ... positive: there is not any curfew. You get some keys for the entrance doors. positive:on the check-out day you can leave your luggage in till your flight time. ... The location of the B&B is very good, the owner is really friendly and helpful.Don't hesitate to ask him for good and cheap restaurants. The B&B is really clean and comfortable. So, while you're visiting such a city like Rome you don't need more than this to sleep.I will recommend this B&B for good quality/price in Rome.

Couldn't find the B&B even when we arrived at the front door. A little sign on the buzzer list wasn't sufficent. ... All ok, but the bed was very hard - so much, so we could sleep as well as we normally do. We also suffered for a short time with aching backs on our return. But the owner is a very nice helpful man. ... None ... Only the hard beds ... Great, location not to bad but could be better, but the bed was too hard!

Your photos on the website helped identify the block ... The breakfast could perhaps have been made more interesting with differnt fruit juices, frwsh fruit and a variety of bread products but it was more than satisfactory for our needs. ... Coffee making facilities in kitchen only - not in rooms ... Clean, simple, very central

It was a little difficult to find the b & b as we werent aware it was upstairs in an apartment building and from the street it wasnt apparent that there was a b & b being run in the premises especially as it was dark when we arrived. It would help if the B & B was highlighted more clearly on the list on the intercom beside the door. ... We were very satisfied with our stay at Citta Eterna and would recommend it for value and comfort. A very helpful host. ... Very efficient ... No other than my comments re the outside of the building where a B & B sign wasnt apparent. ... Very clean modern B & B in an old building but quite convenient to the Metro.
